I get what you mean. Though, I would argue men were oppressed too, they were forced to go out and get jobs and to raise a family, and were forced to go to war and die for their country, etc. Their lives valued less than women’s in certain instances. applebees has really made a huge turnaround. they used to be my least favorite place like 10 years ago but now they are my go to. they changed up their menu a bunch and have a lot of variety, i personally like their chicken fettuccini alfredo even more than olive garden’s or any other restaurant in that same ecosystem.
