It's only uncomfortable if I lay on it. I'm a side sleeper so the ear that is against the pillow does not get one because the pillow muffles sound satisfactorily. The ear facing the ceiling gets one and I usually fall asleep before the hour. Working out during the day has helped me in this too. Took me about a month to get used to and I haven't looked back since.

My SO needs noise to sleep so we compromised with playing the sound of rain. It's on a timer for 1hr and I use earplugs. I have like 6 under the mattress so I can just reach over and grab one. The little orange ones from amazon are great. You can get maybe 20 for a few dollars. Not hard to sleep in if you don't put them to far in and I find while I'm sleeping I remove them.

Yeah, I was in the Corps for 8 years. The women that continued to workout through pregnancy never had a problem getting back into shape and doing the PT test after their maternity leave. Those women all liked to run and lift before they got pregnant. A few women didn't and used pregnancy as their chance to never go to the gym. One girl put on 100lbs. 100lbs no exaggeration. Those women couldn't make it after their maternity leave and were separated. Some of them just got pregnant again to avoid …

Ooh I have one, not from my SO, but I used to always make his lunch and such and his coworkers asked if I was SE Asain because my lunch making skills and general housekeeping skill he brags about.

Agreed. TV is the worst. My SO's niece is 10 and she would be great if she didn't watch her Disney shows then turn around and sass her mother in the exact same fashion.

It's only one piece of paper and how would it be any different than needing to produce a marriage certificate in time of need? It isn't more expensive and time consuming. It takes an hour to get PoA and if you no longer want the person to have authority to make decisions and whatnot destroy the paperwork. You cannot so easily get divorced. Some states take 6 months to process divorce plus the $200-ish dollars and the mountains of paperwork that has to go to individuals and the court system. I ha…

They can set up a power of attorney for most things and gain social standing is bogus. So she can feel better about herself and look better in the eyes of others does nothing for him and brings nothing to the table. Of course legit children would be great but that is not the case right now.

Asking the important questions. My line of thinking is, and please anyone chime in if you can add, that if she were wants commitment to ensure security and the future why isn't she bettering herself and her job, so she can rely on herself and not this man to provide it? What does he gain by marriage? What does she gain? If she can already provide for herself 100% money, insurance, health care, retirement, and still wants to get married then it's for emotional reasons.
/r/RedPillWomen04/01/16 12:20 AM

His reasoning for not getting married is logical. Her reason for wanting to get married is emotional. You cannot use one to reason the other. U/littleknownfacts nails it when she said things can be set in place for specific occurrences but it will not leave her completely satisfied. You know her better than us. Maybe she's worried that she'll end up alone if she can't secure ultimate commitment. Maybe everyone we is getting married and she feels out. Maybe she's getting marks taken off in social…

You don't have to accept it. However you are a direct reflection of him and he is a reflection of you. Same goes for the close people you surround yourself with. Now that he is moving onward and upward, making more money, going to meet more people, your expectations have increased as well. Now getting drunk is not only distasteful but it makes you a liability.

MDMA causes a release of all your serotonin. While it can be great for overcoming social anxiety of approaching or talking to strangers keep in mind almost everyone else is rolling too so their social inhibitions are gone as well. Here's a link for a reagent you can purchase that will show up at your door in a nondescript box that you can use to make sure your pills are cut with anything dangerous.

Have shared The Rules Revisited but no not really. I'll give advice when it's asked for or make some comments but overall I've found that being a living example has been the most beneficial. When asked Why do I do such and such? or how do I feel about something I try to keep it short and light. If they want more they ask but I don't ever get on the soap box.

Good things recently: I commented here a few weeks ago about trying to be supportive when I vehemently disagree with my SO's life decisions. Following everyones council I kept it to myself and got over it. Things have been much better since! He is an adult with a good head on his shoulders so I gotta let him see his decisions through to the end. If we were in each other's place I wouldn't want to hear negativity either. I downloaded T-25 and did it with my roommates every morning. It's 25 minutes and a good mix of things so you don't get bored. 60 days long if I remember correctly, there's a schedule to follow. For weights I keep a small record on my phone of how much I lifted last time and just increase by 5lbs every time I work out for a slow solid build up where I can keep good form. Once I pleatau I keep or decrease the weight and increase reps.

No I am not. At the time I was working a full time job and a part time one. I just started with one class at night and that was manageable until the time where I could quit my full time job and keep the part time one to finish up my degree. If you want to continue/finish your education I urge you to do it sooner than later. Only on the basis of use it or lose it and while you still may remember many things from math and science now, you are likely to forget them in the future. Having to go back years later to take high school algebra and trig refresher to now do calculus has set me behind even further. Even if it's just one 2-3 time a week hour long class it will keep you somewhat in the game.

Girl, I was in your exact same shoes 2 years ago. Well fitting clothes are the way to go for sure. It'll make a HUGE difference. Toss the sweats, they look frumpy and like you can't be bothered to put any effort into your appearance. Trade in your graphic tees for something solid or patterned. Clothes have holes? They've got to go too. I keep about 2 shirts that have rips and stains for cleaning and moving purposes. Like tank tops? Maybe purchase a tank with some lace around the neckline and bot…

You are not alone at all. I was in your shoes about two years ago. It's been a lot of effort and practice but I'm getting much better. You should get a court ordered child support. Buddy I worked with was paying the mother a decent amount voluntarily for child support. She wanted more and took him to court. He now pays half of what he was and she tried to say he never have her a cent. If he didn't have the monthly transfer records from the bank I have no idea what he would've owed.

What about some light stretching before bed, unless you do it at the gym. Do you like to read? Good for your brain and a chance to learn something or if you like fiction be somewhere else temporarily. Added bonus of you're not staring at a screen that keeps you up.

I agree with the other ladies. I think TRP just had a thread about remaining friends when you breakup. Tldr: say you'll be friends then never contact her unless you need a favor or a plate. You can just lay it out saying Hey, I have feelings for you but since we're not together I can't talk to you. I need time to get over you, thank you for understanding.

I empathize. I decided that when I felt like that I'd rub his back while we watch a show, then I could be watching something while it's happening so it's not as much effort, but then he'd tell me how much he enjoyed it which kicked me into doing it for real for real. Lead to sexy time 9 of 10 times. He felt better and I felt better afterwards. Other than that we get caught up in the work and domestic chore slog sometimes but we try to keep it temporary.

I don't think you're over reacting. My SO and I have been together for 3 years and only his brother and his wife and daughter know about me. I've heard plenty of consistent stories about the rest of his family and they'd be too self absorbed to notice I'm in the room if I ever did visit. Until that day comes, which it may never, I told him I'm happy to meet them if he thinks it's a good idea and if not, no harm no foul. He has no contact with them 364 days out of the year.

I disagree. The PFT is a physical fitness test to evaluate fitness individually. If at 27yrs old, the top 10% of runners can run 3 miles in X minutes then that is your standard to match.

Oh man. Are you me OP? I had the exact same thing before. He was older, after a while said I was young and it wasn't going to work out, not quite what he wanted and didn't want to waste any time, etc. Sorry to hear it it wasn't anyone's fault. I feel it was inappropriate on his part to not bring it up before hand and wait until it was too much. As someone who got out of the Corps as well and am now going to school to finish my degree, 18yr old girls to us are fucking retarded. If what you provide in your relationship and at home isn't as appealing as some silly girl who needs to snap and Instagram every moment of her life, or who has never had personal responsibility, or only has the same friends she went to high school with, you have bigger troubles. Up your girl game, be supportive it's a rough transition, and don't worry so much. So…

Think as you like, but act like others. Keep up the BS for sure but if you have to get it in, do it tactfully. I had to learn about Eco-feminism where men subconsciously relate women with nature. That's why they are destructive to the environment. It was a withdrawal from my emotional bank account to have to listen to it but once it's over it's over. Edit: you may have to do end of the course evaluations. That's the place to really let to and tell the school you find the material inappropriate a…

If she is seeing someone else then I agree that he should be done talking to her and communication should be nonexistent. I don't think it was unusual though for him to try and let her down softly and since you said they were together for years it's not bizarre that he misses her a little. They wouldn't have been together that long is it was terrible all the time.

I agree with the first comment on the thread. Saying something is waste just because YOU don't use it is short sighted and ridiculous. Plenty of people have degrees but work in a different field. Plenty of people change their major partway through and have inapplicable classes. I'd rather take the time to learn first aid and never use it than need it and not have it.

What about adding some cheese? Cucumbers with Italian dressing and feta? Veggies in an omlette? Drink V8 How about juicing them? You can throw make and celery and pretty much anything in the blender with some water and add an apple to mask the veggie taste.

If you go the egg route, you could make it an omlette with veggies and cheese. Or scrambled eggs with 2 piece bacon and onion, wrap in a burrito with hot sauce. For something quick I'll cut chicken breast into strips and cook them with cut up pepper and onion, then put it on a tortilla with cheese, food it and warm that on the pan to melt the cheese.

I think the biggest factor in this is you and your ability to leave work at work. Law enforcement deal with some pretty bad people and situations. No one calls them because they're having a good day. It's easy to become jaded and cynical. If you can separate the work from home life there's no reason you can't maintain your femininity. As former military my only hard advice is to date outside of the work place. Best of luck! Any other LE out there thank you for your work!

I'm terrible with house decor, so instead I take care of plants. Got some for the apartment and it's nice having some green around.

Been reading TRP for a year now and I think it's a pretty weak post. "Thanks, now go away" is a pretty lame play at establishing dominance. He might as well have knocked a cup out of her hand and said "Pick it up". HB8 clearly is taken and he is not 'punishing' her by not talking to her. Neither give a fuck. I didn't read any examples of AWALT from the girls either. His 'cockiness' didn't pass any shit tests either. OP, not all posts are equal and while I find about 12% of posts there to be far …

I don't think 'Wife no longer sexual interested in her husband' is really PPD.

I've only been a member here for ~8 months but heres things that jump out at me, 1. Dating for months (exclusive) bit still doesn't trust you. 2. Says he wants to move it but grad school, buying a house, doesn't trust you. Sounds like "we're moving in together" is the carrot on a stick they you'll get only after all these other expectations are met. Why doesn't he trust you? If there's no valid explination it sounds like bologna. Have you met his parents?

Congratulations on taking steps to improve your fitness and health now and in the future!! I participated in the btrc on reddit to get me started (alt account) stopped for 3 months and now I'm back iat it since last week I started 5x5 stronglifts, run 4x a week too. I have to keep to a routine and change it every few weeks or I get bored. Bored=lazy for me. I have MFP but it's hard to keep to it. It worked out when I was doing it with some other women since it was motivating for them. I wish I c…

Excellent! I also like that they don't send me a bunch of emails either. It did go smoothly at the airport. I was able to order everyone food, ask if American money was OK, hand over my bags and passport when asked just fine. I think it went well because when they responded in Japanese they were talking so fast they must have though I could keep up :) No one in my group knew I had been practicing so it was like unveiling super power at just the right time.

Only because I dealt with this recently, do you want children? You should have that conversation with him because it's a deal breaker later on. If someone is child free and the other isn't someone will always be unhappy.

For Japanese I use japanesepod101.com I think it's free for a week then basic access is a few dollars. I've found it to be more than worth it as they have all different levels of understanding and beginner/newbie lessons taught by different people so you can find teachers you prefer. They also have a podcast which I listen to on the bus. I've been using them for a few months now and feel pretty confidant in my japanese and they other month when I was in the Narita airport I finally put it to use…

I had ruined 2 good opportunities with men pre-RP. WHen meeting one years later in a social situation I apologized for my behaviour (concisely) and felt much better for it. The other I'll never meet again but would do the same in a heartbeat. So now onward and upward with no repeats of past errors.

! I understand. I had thought it was kind of "only child syndrome" but this fits everything together perfectly. You have my most sincere thanks. I will keep this in mind and continue as advised.

I believe so by hearing her comments here and there. It'd be easy to miss if I weren't paying attention. He does complain in front of her. I will follow your advice and I remember from other RPW threads that while I can nudge people a little here and there it's always a good idea to set the example for them.

Good point. I suppose I am very used to things being only the way we like it all the time and I'm not accustomed to changes any more. I will keep this dose of reality in mind.

Yes he does complain in front of her and I will absolutely talk to her. To clarify, for example, 2 nights ago we got some Chinese food and his complaints were, it's too cold in here, their wifi isn't strong enough, this app is only downloading 24MB, the chicken isn't cut up small enough, too much onions in the food, they don't have the beer I like from X brewery, not enough chocolate chips in this ice cream, etc non stop until my SO leaves for whichever reason. When it's just the 3 of us excludi…

There was an ELI5 a little bit ago about why your face looks so different in photos. Pretty much everyone in asymmetrical in some way but just as you don't notice when you look at your face in the mirror others don't really notice when look at you, mainly because it's just what they and you are used to seeing.

The Daily Connoisseur. She has a blog and YouTube, sometimes about fashion but mostly about you looking and acting your best in all situations. Very quality over quantity. http://dailyconnoisseur.blogspot.com/?m=1

Maybe he could be waiting to see if you act any different? Get a case of the entitlement? The symptom of "I no longer have to try"? I agree with the ladies here, keep it up and trust his timeline and decisions.

Like many ladies here said, consistent upkeep of yourself. If you hold yourself to a standard of dressing and looking everyday you won't be caught by surprise when he wants to see you and you're in pjs. My SO and I love together so in the morning when I use the bathroom right after I get up I don't leave the bathroom until teeth are brushed, hair is brushed, skin has lotion, face is rinsed and mascara is on. Takes all of 3min and I'm mostly set for the day. Even if I'm still in pjs I'm quite pre…

I hand make a card, take him to a movie and don't talk to him at all during it. Usually we take a trip somewhere and it stopped drinking a long time ago but for his day I suck it up drink a few as if I have cancer and beer is the only cure.

Hahaha because if you punish them real rape victims will be afraid to come forward so punishing them is the same as punishing rape victims. It's logic.

I go to a pretty liberal college and I had to learn about "ecofeminism" where men pollute and do irreparable damage because nature is associated with the essence of female and men don't give a shit about women. Made me want to put a hot needle in my ear while the 2 feminazi ham planets behind me couldn't stop nodding in agreement.

I viewed my SO smoking addiction as a terrible weakness I couldn't overlook and would silently and verbally criticize him for it. That just lead to years of him and his friends lying to me about it. And after the years of lying it lead to divorce.

I just applied to school and relocated with my SO a few months ago. When I was rejected I made several calls the admissions office and they told me I was not accepted because they wanted 80 transfer credits and I only had 59 at the time. Maybe you could try and very politely ask what happened too.

Same boat. We just moved in a few months ago. Get rid of anything you don't need like /u/Limberine said. We did a matching table cloth, curtains, welcome mat, and area rug, hung up a few paintings, and got some small plants. Bought new Tupperware so it all matches and fits in our small space. When combining towels, plates, hangars we made a joint decision on which looked the best and kept the winners.

Have you read The 4 Hour Work Week? To sum it up, 20% of your input equals 80% of your output, so don't be involved in unnecessary nonsense. Busy work does not always mean productive work. Last automate anything that you can.

Same boat as well. Just got out of the military going to CC full time working part time about to start full time at a real university with my GI bill and trying to do it all in the 36 months. What helps me is doing chores in the morning when I wake up. No one else is up yet and it's when I'm most productive. I do housework for about half an hr and can get a lot done. Weekends I do some food prep. Make a whole bunch of chicken or veggies so when I'm bogged down and don't have time to cook I can p…
