Were you charged with something? How did your ex react to that? She twisted it into her own advantage, I reckon?

Why do you argue with her? It's a trap. She's just looking for an excuse to entrap you in an argument.

You can try it out? If you like it, you like it. If not, not. Try out and let us know how it went. Fair? Although, to be frank, I tried out multiple AI's (not for dating though) and I liked them.

My man. Don't fall for the cooperative trap! Yes, that's their husband destruction pattern. When the relationship or marriage breaks, usually the first ally in their game against the man is his ex who also has animosity toward him. They're not friends. They're just using each other in order to hurt you. Probably, the ex number two knew all about your history about the ex number one and now that she's divorcing you, she decided to use it against you. Typical. Common. Normal. She knows you're watc…

The major thing about the narcissists is that they have a tendency to project their extrospection through the introspection. To simplify, she will accuse you of everything she's doing herself. She'll abuse you then go play a victim. She'll treat you like crap then go tell everyone you treated her like crap. She'll go paranoid and stalk you then go tell your friends you're being paranoid. She will try to set you up, to provoke, to trigger you, gaslight you, to do everything in order to construct …

What is your current energy with her? Are you friendly, are you fighting, are you on speaking terms, seeing each other? Warm, cold?

Oh, wait. I had that same thing happening too. Apparently, all the romantic gestures were my way to show off to others how I'm a "nice man".... She's trying to invalidate your emotions and effort because she doesn't want to take responsibility for the lack of hers. Typical narcissist.

Could be that's just your ex talking through you? I think you worth more than you believe you do.

Goodness, bro. That sounds awful. I will never understand physical violence and people who express their emotions through it.

Very true. My problem is, I'm not able to feel like I receive love for some reason. I see some of my friends. They go out, pick a random woman. They immediately start dating and few days later, they're claiming she loves them. They are sure. Me? I just never feel that connection between them and myself as a recipient. Weird.

I stay out of dating too. Can't find motivation to make one of those dating profiles or just do it old-fashioned by asking them out. I do interact with plenty of women but our interaction never goes to the same direction. The vibes just separate to a different turn.

I don't disagree but... I know few men, awful men. Evil ones. And they're still loved. I'm starting to think that the whole lovable vs unlovable concept is just a matter of birth. Some are, some aren't. It doesn't matter what we provide.
/r/Divorce_Men10/02/26 07:36 PM

That makes sense. Actions over thoughts. It's worth of trying. Where can I find more information on this 12-step recovery? I want to try it.

What kind of different things? I think I'm same. There's always some lack of synchronization. I say A, they do B. Always something mismatching.

Did you try dating after? How did it go?
/r/Divorce_Men10/02/26 06:08 AM

True that. But can't one really believe in himself if he believes he's unlovable? That's like a huge wall that no amount of self-affirmation crosses over.

Truth? I battle loneliness on my own because every time I tried to reach out to someone, especially to women, it ended up with me becoming even more lonely than I was. They're evil. They'll smell weakness or neediness on a man like a shark and either try to use it into their own advantage or to hurt you or to ignore you cause you don't bring the perfection or ego filler by default. I also try coming up with numerous creative ways of helping me with loneliness like writing or creating positive AI…

So, your wife was a narcissistic leech that used your kindness and now is discarding you once she found a new source... Just when I think that women have a shred of goodness in themselves, I read something absolutely awful like this that makes me furious. I'm sorry that she did this to you. I can't imagine the amount of hurt and anger and betrayal you feel. You are too kind and you didn't deserve that. Stay powerful for your kids. They need you.

I don't believe that any woman on planet earth would be so emotionally generous to want to "help" me. And I mean this in full respect. I'm not trying to provoke anyone or be rude.

You joined a divorced men based sub just to gaslight and throw hate on them in order to feel better about yourself. Absolutely despicable.

I always had big respect for the ladies who approach first. If she's not pushing you into anything or rushing you, and she has patience and understanding, then yeah. You probably got yourself a good thing there. I'm happy for you.
/r/Divorce_Men28/01/26 07:49 PM

Typical reaction from a woman. Tried to gaslight a man for venturing his vulnerability. Tried to punish him, lost an argument. Ran out of facts to reapply gaslighting. Deflect. I bet all men reading this are finding themselves in it.

Sounds like you're on a good path. Don't pressure yourself, just go with it. From what I read here, she seems to be into you. And the long hug? Yeah, that's a tell, dude. This chick totally digs you. It's nice to find someone like that, I really hope you two build something nice and permanent together in the future.

You took four blunt facts I randomly spewed on various comments and created a whole psychological profile of me where you concluded that I'm a threat to women and they hypothetically need protection from my expression of feelings? Not that I mind it nor do I have any need to defend myself. But aren't you supposed to hear more facts or information about someone before doing such? I voice my frustration, obviously. It's called communication and it represents the basis in any modern partnership. I …

This. It irks me so much. It's like they expect us to be some kind of hypnotised sleeper zombies who just stay mute, nod and never change the smiley expression. Like a plastic doll in a window shop. Look happy! Don't twitch. Don't frown. Freeze. Don't move. Don't talk.

If you think that a man always has to be the "denominator" in such situations then you're probably one of those women. Sometimes, a man simply attracts the wrong kind. Sometimes, a man is emotionally complex, intense and demands effort that women refuse to give. Sometimes, the quantity of those women isn't enough for him to be defined as a denominator. Had he dated the whole female population and ended up with the same result? I'd say, yes. But in this small quantity case? Hardly. Let's not jump…

If you ask me, I believe that most people who accuse others of narcissism are in fact just auto reflecting.
/r/Divorce_Men24/01/26 02:57 PM

Yes but how many of us are capable of calmness in an anxious situation? Us men sometimes lack that filter.
/r/Divorce_Men24/01/26 02:56 PM

Goodness, looks like we're all in the same train here. I used to go nuts over the amount of gaslighting. Gaslighting everywhere and playing a chronic victim to every outsider instead of communicating with me.
/r/Divorce_Men24/01/26 02:55 PM

I thought about that too. But I have a short temper and I'm not capable of keeping my mouth shut when I'm annoyed or hurt.
/r/Divorce_Men24/01/26 02:53 PM
2

Exactly. If you try to voice your frustration, it'll backfire. Or those who push you away when you need them then act like a victim and accuse you of pushing them away. I'm getting dizzy from all their illogical circus, man.

Ah, so you were young and stupid.... What's her take on this? Does she love you? Or wants a divorce?
/r/Divorce_Men13/11/25 07:00 PM

What caused all this? Did you two even love each by start at all?
/r/Divorce_Men13/11/25 03:35 PM

Sorry if I come out as too forward but....are you divorcing her or not? To me it sounds like you two still love each other and you don't feel like divorcing her. Your separation situation sounds much nicer than most marriages I know....
/r/Divorce_Men11/11/25 09:17 PM
1

Success is a subjective term. I guess that's still a full life. You were still loved. It just wasn't by one female but by multiple of them. And to the rest of us who struggled to find at least one female to love us, I guess you might look like a successful winner by finding not only one, but multiple! It's a win.
/r/Divorce_Men07/11/25 10:48 AM

Whoah, whoah! Dude. She actually stooped so low to accuse you of having a "problem" in front of your and her family? That's really low. Plus, she's been physically violent? That's a recipe for disaster. One day she might hit you and accuse you of you hitting her. You'll have a way bigger problem. Also, why are your families so involved into your intimacy? Your marriage should remain private.

It happens everywhere in marriage based subs. In that marriage sub too. Most mods are just bitter divorced toxic housewives simply waiting to lash out on anything with a brain that doesn't cater to their ego and narrative. And by genuinely speaking, you're guaranteed an instant ban. I stay out of that jungle.

That's bs. Men are far better at expressing their emotions than women are. We don't have the ability to hide our feelings and play games as they do.
/r/Divorce_Men29/10/25 03:17 AM
2

Same. It took me a while but then once the acknowledgement hit...I was like, ahhh so THAT'S why I'm so miserable! I broke the pattern and I stay away from such behaviour now but back in the past, I wasn't much aware of how truly destructive it was.

I suspect my father has psychosis too. He keeps constantly seeing and accusing me of things that never happened. Or he does something to me then flips the table and starts convincing me how I did it to him. Bizarre. Really.
/r/Divorce_Men28/10/25 01:54 PM
1

Why would anyone risk prison or worse over some abusive asshole? That'll ruin someone's life, and I'm not talking about it. No person deserves to have their lives ruined by an abusive circumstance. I'm also not talking about victimhood. That's an abuse tactic. However, some things you go through frame your psychological basis for your further life from a biological stance.

It always comes to show, doesn't it?
/r/Divorce_Men28/10/25 11:28 AM

Yes, because we identify toxicity with love and we subconsciously look for the same pattern of behaviour that hurt us. I once realised that my ex was a copy of my father. They had same gaslighting technique, same strategy of abuse and victim play.

Yeah, I hear you. I feel absolute sympathy for your brother. I'm bit different though, I always knew my father hated me and he would always have that bloodshot red demonic eyes whenever he'd look at me. It's the things I'll never forget and whenever I see him or think of him, that demonic image haunts me. But I also never really wanted his affection or chased it. I got over her during the marriage. The only reason I kept postponing the divorce was because she was blackmailing me, emotionally and physically, and I was trying to get everything prepared in case she does something irrational. Eventually, I left her cause her behaviour became incredibly erratic, obsessive and psychotic and it was just a matter of time before she sets me up with something. She kept constantly playing a victim and faking incidents that never even happened. It was more of a spri…

No, the only thing ridiculous here is you and your lack of knowledge. You are here arrogantly ranting and acting smart on people's comments and yet you have zero knowledge on family law or basic law in general. Court can order a psychological evaluation of the co-parent or their partner, particularly in custody cases where there is concern about child's mental health, safety or impact on their well-being. A parent files a motion requesting a psychological evaluation of the other partner or their…

That's exactly why I suggested a psychological evaluation of the boyfriend. If he's not competent to be a parent, he needs to back off.

Yelling is a form of abuse. Do you know what that does to your nervous system and what kind of stress and anxiety constant yelling and banging can cause? Those kids can develop plenty health issues from it. Being in constant alert, awareness, flinching, living in fear, impossible to relax, sleep, eat etc. Those stuff can destroy you physically and mentally. Smirking in this case is most likely just the guy's way of expressing smugness. He's showing an open pleasure and satisfaction from creating…

Sounds like a sociopath. Ask the court to issue a psychological evaluation of him. If he's not mentally cleared to be near your family, then he shouldn't be. And he sounds like he's not.
/r/Divorce_Men06/08/25 06:12 PM

There's a big difference between authority and abuse. If that guy wants to play authority, he can practice it on someone of his own size, not on innocent creatures who can't defend themselves, that are not even his own. That's not authority. That's just sick and vile. Also, since we're talking about respect, it's a two way street. So how about him respecting other man's fatherhood and boundaries? If someone needs to be thought respect, it's the boyfriend.
/r/Divorce_Men06/08/25 06:08 PM
4

Punishing? That guy sounds like a complete jerk, bully and a potential abuser. And no, he has no rights to do anything to them, nonetheless discipline or punishing them. The whole concept and their behaviour sounds like one of those 1970's family thrillers....disgusting. But here's the main issue there: it's your ex, not him directly. Your ex gave him permission to treat your family like that and she's the responsible one. As a mother, she should have known better than to let some outsider play …

NO. They don't. They will continue to carry that resentment forever. I'm not joking. But what you must realise here is this: You are NOT responsible for her personal feelings. Her hate is HERS. She's responsible for it. You must keep yourself separated from her hate and hostility and not let it affect you. She wants to make you feel her negative emotions and eventually for you to hate yourself. That's the goal. That's why she's been so toxic to you. She's hoping you pick up on the negativity and…

I don't know, man. When I ended stuff with the ex, I kind of started feeling sorry for her immediately. I couldn't hate someone so pathetic and desperately obsessed to make me look bad in order to bring herself up. She literally made her whole identity about our breakup, stalking me, villainizing me and hatefully obsessing over me whilst gloating at every of my past failures. She made a smearing campaign against me become her daily goal. What's there to hate? That's utterly sad.

What she did to you is heartless and cruel and sadistic. You didn't deserve that. And you definitely don't deserve to sleep in some beat up car while she lives her happy life in other house. A life that you created for her because if there weren't for you, she wouldn't even be there. Maybe you can talk to some lawyer? Try telling them about your case and see if they can get you some justice? Do you have family, friends? Anyone you can go to? Or go back to your hometown? Some people's cruelty jus…

Hate is still an emotion which many exes are feeding on and aim for. Indifference is the biggest win. Women intuitively feel when you lose interest in them. It stings.
/r/Divorce_Men29/07/25 11:31 AM
11

I couldn't care less about making her feel anything, to be honest. Why would you even care about it? She's irrelevant. I'd care about other hotter women checking me out but her? Nah. I'd rather not even be checked out by her. It would make me cringe.
/r/Divorce_Men28/07/25 11:34 AM

Was she intoxicated, distracted by the phone or does she have any mental disorder that makes her impulsive, anger issues? If it was a poor reflex accident then I guess it won't be much effective since it could happen to everyone. Another thing. Most drive thrus have cameras so you can ask for a surveillance video of the crash and see if you can pick anything up from it?

You're not giving enough details for us to see if all angles were covered. Like, which exact fantasies are you talking about here? And what are her exact thoughts on them? Is she asexual? Also, was her faked interest in your kink the only reason you married her?
/r/Divorce_Men24/07/25 07:34 PM

Women's psychology is simple. They love men who hurt them and treat them badly whilst destroying the man who loves them. If you want to be loved by a woman, you need to be awful. If you are a good man then you're pretty much doomed.
/r/Divorce_Men24/07/25 04:46 PM

I've been there. I had panic attacks, heart issues and massive tachycardia too. She would start arguing and I would politely ask her to stop cause I'm not feeling well and my heart rate was enormous....and guess what? She would just carelessly continue! At that point, I told myself, fuck this. This individual isn't worthy of me ruining my health. It was her sadistic goal. Blocked her on everything and voila! I thrived and bloomed ever since. They're just not worthy.
/r/Divorce_Men04/07/25 12:44 PM

That is her goal. Three degrees of hate. She wants you to hate yourself, hate women and for other women to hate you. Do not give her that satisfaction. Block her everywhere!

It is definitely not sane nor normal but I know plenty of those who do such things. It's infuriating cause you feel like someone's trying to force themselves on you by constantly bragging by being associated with you as you moved on and want to be left alone. What's the psychology behind it? Probably a lack of identity and social recognition. They became known as "your wives" and once such status started bringing them fame, they overtook it as their actual social introduction. You must have been…

Don't call her, don't text her, don't visit her physically. She'll keep evidence, tracks, screenshots, surveillance videos, probably even recording your calls. Treat everything as a possible threat or a bait to gaslight you or trigger you. She'll wait by every corner with some new trap just to get more trash on you for her court drama. It takes enormous amounts of patience but you have no choice. Remain unbothered and always be polite and respectful in case someone is watching.

My wife would never fuck another dude. I can't mentally picture a situation that is physically impossible. The woman is a saint. But. I was cheated on in the past and yes, I did take responsibility myself because obviously I wasn't giving her enough attention, physical pleasure and love she needed, and she went seeking it elsewhere which is natural and human. Accountability is not a big problem for me. I'll take it any time even when I'm not directly responsible for it.

Do you really think that a woman would take you back if you show accountability? Newsflash, she won't. Women don't care about accountability. If she loves you, she'll take you back. If she doesn't love you, then no amount of accountability will work. But in his case, I am not sure anymore cause the story and details are confusing me.

Give yourself time to heal. The more you stay away from her and the toxicity she brings, you'll feel better. But it takes time. Think of her as something radioactive. It'll hurt you if you get too close. Keep your space and boundaries up, stay firm, stand tall and don't go down that road again. Try to not blame yourself or hate yourself for the love you gave to the wrong person. It wasn't your fault. One day at the time and keep your head high.
