Trust your instinct. There were so many times looking back that my gut instinct even at 14 was spot on about a mans intentions, both for boys my own age and men much older. But I got ignored it because I was 14 and thought they must have known more than I did, and I was just overthinking it. Women’s instincts even as young girls I think can be remarkably accurate and society does everything it can to teach young girls and women to ignore it. Just here to say sometimes it’s ok to stereotype men in certain professions. There’s a reason why there’s a lot of abusive and dickish cops for example, the profession has a specific culture that appeals to abusive and dickish men, so you’re not necessarily wrong for being on-guard about that
