I live in China and see this kind of thing quite often. I really doubt she was weibo banned for "objectifying women" since objectification of both genders is pretty commonplace here...I think she was banned because what she said made it seem like she supported women who chose to "betray their country" by sleeping with the Japanese invaders. That is a big no-no here.

"Seeing as that she wouldn't go away, I found a Chinese person who speaks Chinese fluently to help negotiate things between me and her." Are you a laowai in China? People here think the police will take their side always, and deport you or some shit. Probably because they can talk up a storm and say false things when the police arrive and they think you can't even tell your side. I had a similar thing happen to me, a guy called the police and said I was stalking him when I was calmly walking awa…

Good point

I don't think she would be thrilled if she found out I was spinning plates. I always use the "neither confirm nor deny" strategy with regards to whether I have other women and it works well. Perhaps you're right about it helping my attractiveness through abundance mentality though.

Good advice, thank you. I'm 29 - still feel too young to want a serious LTR.

This is a great point. She literally begs to hang out with me, but I try to keep us meeting up only once or twice a week, and I normally give in when she has made it about doing things for me like cooking or painting. I need to distance myself a little bit since we literally just started seeing each other and it's way too early for her to be acting like my girlfriend.

Most of the rage is from men who were in LTR or marriage for a long time, usually years, and realized that it ended because they willingly suspended their masculine selves to follow the female imperative that was fed to them which runs contrary to TRP thought. If you are 20 and have not had one of these experiences, you understandably would not feel "rage" at learning these new facts. Actually, I tend to think of it as less of "rage" and more of "embarrassment" when men realize just how much the…

Take a drink? Seriously, I know alcohol gets the shit-treatment here, but if you have anxiety about talking to new people in social situations...well..that's kind of exactly what it's made for. Just don't make it a ritual "one shot-one approach" that's a surefire way to get hammered.

Let's externalise for a moment - I also find intelligence in women incredibly sexy, but have this great example from my experience about how even the most intelligent of them acts on attraction rather than thought in dating. I met a 22 year old female I.M. (international master) in Chess, and she easily beat my "chess prodigy" friend in a casual match where she was texting to her friends half the time and he was concentrating on moves. I was in a serious LTR at the time, so I couldn't act on it,…

In my view, it's not the act of paying that is Beta, it's the subtle power play every time paying comes up that is a missed opportunity if you don't at least acknowledge it is your choice whether you pay, she pays or you split. Example: You are on a "regular" date, dinner, check comes. She says nothing. Neutral response: you pay and say nothing about it, continue conversation Beta response: you pay and look for approval from her because you provided OR you ask her to pay when she has not offered…

It's important to remember that "attraction" in both men and women, and at any level of intelligence from either, is not based on thinking but rather feeling. A woman can completely see "behind the curtain" and tell you exactly why she was attracted to you, but she will still be attracted to you or not, and it is her actions that matter - whether she acts on that attraction - rather than her words or thoughts, which are of little consequence in this situation. Okay, so how does that translate to…

One yes I have, one no not yet (was only in that country for a day, not a night, logistics weren't right) so the stakes aren't the same between the two girls.

If you just started at uni, you must absolutely cold approach - both girls and guys. People tend to form cliques early and will make exceptions for you if you are new, but not if you've spent months hanging around and not talking to anyone.

I'm an expat in a country where everyone speaks a language I have just started learning. I treat every interaction as "language practice" and have much less social anxiety because of it. When reading a front page TRP post today, I realized I'm doing the same thing as replacing "I'm nervous" with "I'm excited" by using the "language practice" excuse in my head. I know that I appear less eloquent, witty and knowledgeable than 100% of people here. I don't give a fuck - if they came to my country th…

Depending on where you live, night clubs could attract a very specific kind of girl - where I used to live, girls in clubs would go specifically for the guys who seemed rich, regardless of every other factor, and tables were priced accordingly to make this easy for them. I don't think facial attractiveness is ever the #1 factor for girls in any environment other than Tinder. Remember though that Tinder and night clubs both belong to "night game" which is specifically people trying to hook up. If…

Exactly. Fun fact - height was the paramount "breeding material" quality of the older generation. If you go to the "marriage markets" in China (where grandmas/grandpas and to a lesser extent moms/dads get together to exchange information embarrassingly about their single offspring) the thing that is on every flyer is height and requirement for spouse's height. That is ALL. No pictures/weight/income levels. Basically because they just want tall grandchildren/great-grandchildren. The younger gener…

I can't speak about Japan as I've never been there, but here in China, "clubs" are huge foreigner sausage-fests. Only a few local girls go, and the ones that do are looking for foreigners, which they find in spades. No one is in a suit except for the odd rich old Chinese guy. You will stand out if you do, and if that appeals to you, then own it. If you're looking for local girls and not into competing with foreigners for foreigners, find some local friends and go to their events or set up your o…

Managing plates question - I have an event on Saturday with some female friends that know me and the newest, hottest plate I'm currently spinning. I tried to invite said plate to come but she has to work. Should I invite another of my two plates (albeit a less hot one) to come and risk the girls gossiping over it? Should I go alone and hit on other, potentially hotter girls while I'm there? Or should I just go monk mode for this Saturday to avoid the fallout? All my friends know I'm NOT in a LTR…

It is absolutely a shit-test. I ran into this exact thing yesterday. Asked a girl on a date and she said she wanted to go out as "friends." I didn't respond, considered just nexting her, then I remembered TRP - state what you want. I said "I was really thinking more like a date, just you and me, what do you say?" After that she confessed to social media stalking me and thinking I was a cheating husband after finding year-old pics of me with my ex wife. I told her I am single now and refused to g…

No one needs a "practice girlfriend" - if you're into her, go for it. If you're not, keep her as a friend. Young women in some foreign countries are NOT into guys if they have a visible girlfriend already, but you can still spin plates without causing damage. Don't ruin your social proof for something you're not into. If you ever meet a plate's parents, she will use that as proof that you're actually in a LTR rather than a "casual thing" and force you to decide, so it sounds like that option is …

If you fake being a CEO, girls here (China at least) will smell it from a mile away and tell all their friends. Businesses here are super interconnected, everybody knows everybody, and if you don't know anyone, she'll know you're not a CEO. If you want to fake rich, fake that you're "old money rich from America" because she would have no way of knowing. You will have to have the funds to pull this off though - some girls will literally walk out if you try to make them pay for things or give any …

Cultivate habits that lead to your goals. Don't rely on motivation or "drive." Motivation is fleeting.

Basically, yes. I live in China and have been dating here for a bit. The only difference is the order of priorities. Generally white women prioritize AF then BB. Chinese women's priorities fall in this scale: Status - as in, how will being seen with this person affect my social status (this is why a rich, ripped black guy isn't as desirable as an average white or Asian guy, because he is viewed as lower status) the highest status goes to CEOs. Next is anyone from a wealthy family with connection…

FR for anyone interested - I did exactly this, no gifts, no expensive dinner, went to Coffee, then "fun place" that relates to a hobby of mine - she absolutely loved it, then private place for Sake and a little sushi. It was here that the red flags started going off, she revealed her age (she is very slightly older than me, even though she definitely doesn't look like it...damn asians) and she is looking for someone to marry and have kids with NOW (implied that is me). Way more than I was lookin…

Very good points all around. I'm planning now based on distance between things and doing non-physical things that would create a story rather than an expensive dinner which I'm sure she has seen hundreds of times already. Thanks!

You raise a good point that I hadn't considered. She is a 9, she has worked as a model before, but I don't have any way of knowing if it's actually her birthday. We don't have any common friends that I could ask. She doesn't know that I'm middle class (in the country I live, that's actually a thing, unlike the US which just has rich and poor) but I never made any indication that I was rich either.

I lived in California for years. Depends on which part - LA girls are super hot but the economic inequality of that city drives them to look for sugar daddies first (which generates the club scene of tables that cost $10,000 for bottle service...and guys that pay for those get 8 chicks wanting to bang them that night) and SF girls are okay looking but stuck up and extra hypergamous because of the highly skewed male/female ratio that a city of coders generates. Those two problems are your real pr…

I live in China, I think I can comment on this. Asian women seem to be programmed to find beta providers first, then when they have them tied down, they ignore them and let the AF into their lives. Money is so tied to status - a woman here will absolutely delight in being seen in public with her short, bald, overweight husband/boyfriend with zero game or charisma as long as he is obviously rich, but she won't fuck him. On the opposite side, women will fuck me who would never be seen in public wi…

Thought about it, a lot. I live in China so it's not like it's super easy to be vegan here (or even know what you're eating and eat with less of an impact) - almost everything has some kind of fish or meat byproduct in it. I don't eat any wild caught fish/seafood because it's impossible to know the damage caused by the shrimp you're eating, did the same net pull in a sea turtle? A dolphin? You'll never know and this country will never tell you. I also avoid fish oil and Vitamin E supplements bec…

I'm going to "shark week" in Palau, the world's first shark sanctuary, where you are guaranteed to see hundreds of sharks of all sizes, in a couple months. I couldn't be more excited. Sharks are really beautiful, rare and graceful creatures and I wish more people could have an experience seeing them up close (not in an aquarium) to realize what a shame it is that Hong Kong and Southern China is killing them all for soup.
