If you haven't learned to STFU, do it quick. I can be pretty sarcastic and teasing. My first year of marriage I hadn't learned yet what's okay to tease about and what isn't. By now I'm much better at knowing what's okay and what isn't okay, but until then it's best to STFU. I can also be very passive-aggressive. Women are *super* sensitive to that. If you want to be a "I say what I mean and I mean what I say" kind of guy then any kind of passive-aggressive BS must be eliminated. Save the drama f…

I've become a better man after having kids. Why? Did my kids do anything? No. I just decided I had a responsibility to be the best father I can be and have tried to rise to the challenge. It's the same with my wife. She certainly challenges me (sometimes intentionally, often not), and I consider it my responsibility to rise to those challenges. My kids and my wife aren't special. They aren't doing anything magical to "create" a better version of me. I'm doing that.

The way I see it, you have 3 options: Do nothing and whine about it Go find a different church with more/cuter girls Get more/cuter girls to come to your church Also, what does this mean? And these two will be either straight up unattractive and fat or deformed ... it won't fix their busted faces. ... the younger ones around my age dressed like theyre the FLOTUS or royalty full of vanity So you want a girl with a pretty face, but is a bad dresser?

I no longer want to be in relationship with her because right now what good for me is to be single and focus on restoring my relationship with God. There you go. Just tell her that. It's honest, concise, and respectful. She'll probably still get upset and beg you to stay, but you just have to put on your big boy underpants and follow through. You are responsible for you, not for her or her feelings.

Sometimes she asks for money before we can make love. Huh? Like she literally says "give me money or I won't sleep with you?" Quid pro quo? This seems like the very first boundary you need to set. Immediately. I don’t want to divorce her because of what society might say about me That's a stupid reason. A far better reason is because God says marriage is for life. But not getting divorced because of "society" is stupid. Find your frame, find your balls, and start doing things because it's what y…

This sounds like me. My wife would love more sex, but I just don't want to sleep with her. I got my T checked, and it's fine. Turns out I don't want to have sex with her because she's fat and lazy. What is your wife saying when she starts talking? Is it stuff like "fuck my tight little pussy, Daddy" or "are you remembering to slowly move more assets from stocks to bonds in your 401k as you approach retirement?"

Since you brought this passage up, I have some questions: every wife who prays or prophesies Is this saying a woman can preach and teach? For if a wife will not cover her head, then she should cut her hair short. So "cover her head" must mean an actual head covering, not hair, right? Otherwise cutting her hair short if her head is already "uncovered" by her hair makes no sense. Verse 9 says "That is why a wife ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels." What does "sy…

But I started to feel like something was off with this guy but I just couldn't put my finger on it so I kept that in mind and then I tried to use this guys advice on the girl in mind (to be fair I wasn't using it properly and I was being kind of cocky,) and it backfired on me so I realised that maybe this guys advice is not entirely reliable. Then considering marrying multiple women, or having concubines (women of lesser social status then the first wife). Abraham, Jacob, David, Salomon. As far as I can tell these women were satisfied with their arrangements. The fact that you mention Jacob and then say "as far as I can tell these women were satisfied with their arrangements" tells me you aren't very familiar with the Old Testament. Read Jacob's story. True story: A while ago a member of my church went to the elders and confessed he maybe had a little affair and cheated on his wife. "I'm really sorry and I won't do it again!" The elders said, "that's ok, just be a good boy from now on." Time passed, and recently it came out out that he wasn't just having an affair. Really not "reading in" much at all, just drawing obvious inferences from human, female nature. You're making assumptions about scripture and claiming to know things it doesn't say. Maybe she was minding her own business taking her ritual post-period purification bath and he happened to be able to see through a window from his vantage point. Or maybe you're right and she waited to take her mikveh until she spotted David taking a stroll up there. We don't know. So don't claim to know.

You're probably dreaming the same amount that you were before. The difference is you're waking up during REM sleep more. You only remember a dream if you wake up in the middle of it. REM sleep happens more frequently later in the night, so maybe that means you're sleeping better/longer and have a better chance of waking up during a dream.

Have you tried talking to your wife, not in the logical 'I can't run a business if you keep tying to fuck me', more like 'why are you feeling this way?' That's just not true. The KJV says "effeminate" and "abusers of themselves with mankind". The Wycliffe Bible says "lechers against kind" and "they that do lechery with men". The Geneva Bible says "buggerers." These are all obviously referring to homosexuality, not just "boy molesters." Besides, "arsenokoitai" literally means "man-bedders," which is a reference to the language used in Leviticus prohibiting homosexual sex.

Funnily enough, I'm Baptist, and my wife is Presbyterian. Mostly it's not a big deal. The key is to agree on the theological Big Stuff. We agree that baptism, whether infant or believer's, is not salvation, and that free will vs predestination isn't very relevant to anything other than arguments over stuff we humans can't even understand fully anyway.

I'm loosely following u/rocknrollchuck's plan, and reading by myself, not with my wife. I'm still trying to figure out how to take charge of the finances. It's a case of her saying she wants to be smart about finances, but her actions don't line up with that. My own observation has been very different from what you've seen. All the hottest wives I know are all married to fairly success men. I've been going to the gym and trying to focus on the big lifts, and my front squat continues to improve. I'm still working on fixing my deadlift. Relationships I'm not sure if it's my imagination or not but it seems like my wife is giving me more and more comfort tests. She was feeling kind of insecure on Saturday. She said she wasn't sure I loved her and that I th…

Some other random things: Don't fart in front of him. If you do at least act a little apologetic. Don't poop with the bathroom door open Remember to flush when you're done Apparently these things aren't obvious to everyone...

There's a whole lot to unpack in this post, and I'll let someone wiser dig in, but here are a couple of things that jumped out at me. I can’t live up to God’s standard and seeking grace for my behavior feels like I’m showing up to God’s front door with porn in hand. Is this conviction coming from the Holy Spirit meant to draw you closer, or shame coming from Satan meant to keep you away? Overcoming my extremely introverted nature by building social connections. Have you read Quiet by Susan Cain?…

OYS #8 (previous) Physical Stats: 36yo, 6', 165lb, 18% BF, 1 rep bench: 170lb, 1 rep squat: 185lb I PBed my front squat this week (145lb x2), and I back squatted more than I have in a while (185lb x1) so that's cool. Otherwise not much change. Diet is good. Relationships My sex drive has tanked this week. I don't know why. Even the usual temptation to look at things I shouldn't is gone. My wife initiated last night, and I think I mostly satisfied her, but using toys. I couldn't get hard at all. …

OYS # 7 (previous) Physical Stats (same as last time): 6', 165lb, 18% BF, 1 rep bench: 170lb, 1 rep squat: 200lb (before quarantine) I'm slowly getting back into the gym and lifting heavy again. It feels good. Plus working from home during the pandemic has given me a little extra freedom to sneak in more workouts. Diet is pretty good too. Relationships Last week's OYS feedback was I need to STFU. I thought I was doing good at that, but I guess not. So I've been trying to do better. But it's been…

Just putting the milk away is what the Captain would do. You progressed from passive aggressive to validation seeking. Wait, I don't get it. How is that validation seeking?

OYS #6 (previous) Stats (same as last time): 6', 165lb, 18% BF, 1 rep bench: 170lb, 1 rep squat: 200lb (before quarantine) Physical Not much change. But I did better than expected with my deadlifts at the gym yesterday (I maxed at 205lb x 2, much better than last time). Today I feel that post-heavy-workout muscle fatigue for the first time in a couple months. Diet is ok. Since meat is getting so expensive I'm going to experiment with some meatless, bean-heavy recipes. Relationships I need to be …

It sounds like your question has confused us. We read "how do I discover my sexuality" and interpret it as "how do I push the boundaries of what I can get away with," which I don't think is what you're trying to ask. Step 1 is to reframe your question into what you're *really* trying to ask. Also, the majority of people here are men, who aren't really the best people to answer your question. You might have more luck at https://www.reddit.com/r/RPCWomen/

He’s telling her exactly how he feels. Fail. That’s basically the worst advice you can give a man. Why? If your goal is to get That Particular Woman (oneitis) then maybe that is bad advice. But if your goal is to get The Right Woman then it's good advice. Be the most confident, authentic version of yourself you can be and accept the potential rejection, because the rejection only gets you close to finding The Right Woman, without requiring any compromises or pretending or manipulation.

Either she likes you or she's not interested. Either way, let her know you like her. Maybe that means asking her for a date (and make sure she knows it's a date, not just hanging out with friends or something vague). But that will force her to make a decision about how she feels about you and get her off the fence, one way or another. If she's up for a date, cool. If not, at least you know where you stand.

OYS #5 (previous) Stats (same as last time): 6', 165lb, 18% BF, 1 rep bench: 170lb, 1 rep squat: 200lb (before quarantine) Physical Not much change. Still working out at home, although it's been much harder this week to find motivation. The weather has been crappy the last several days so I haven't been able to get out and do anything. Diet is okay, although Saturday night I kind of let lose and drank a lot of beer and ate a lot of fried stuff. Relationships I didn't initiate sex any this week, …

Agreed. The man is on his 3rd marriage and has had multiple affairs, so why do so many Christians defend him no matter what?

Even if there is a possibility that one day our relationship is so bulletproof and my SMV is so sky high and I'm such a Captain Kirk of household leaders that our marriage would survive me dropping a bomb like that, we definitely aren't there today.

Additionally, try to eliminate junk food from entering your house, and encourage your wife and kids to make MEALS 90+% of their caloric intake. I think this is probably what I need to focus on. Since I've been working at home the last couple months I've noticed that she generally eats small and relatively healthy meals, but then snacks all day.

OYS #4 (previous) Physical Stats (same as last time): 6', 165lb, 18% BF, 1 rep bench: 170lb, 1 rep squat: 200lb (before quarantine) Still working out at home, though I did go the gym one day last week. My deadlifts were terrible. I feel 90% of it in my lower back and barely anything in my glutes and legs. It's probably have a combination of bad form and lack of mobility. Diet is a little better. I'm getting more vegetables, and very little sweets. Relationships I've initiated twice with my wife …

Earlier in the day yesterday she saw me working out and started making comments like, "omg, you look so good, I could watch you do that all day." Then last night I let her know I wanted sex. She made me wait until she found a stopping point in her game, but then we did it. She even put in some effort in her appearance, which I was sure to reward her for. So all in all I guess this is an improvement.

OYS #3 (previous) tl;dr: no sex, not much change since last week Physical Stats (same as last time): 6', 165lb, 18% BF, 1 rep bench: 170lb, 1 rep squat: 200lb (before quarantine) Still working out most days, though always at home, plus an ab workout every day. But I'm making it work. Diet has been a little better. I'm starting to incorporate more vegetables. Relationships My wife and I haven't had sex in over a week. Normally she initiates every few days, but lately she hasn't, and since I never…

Updated my original post. I'll calculate my BF% later, but I expect it to be around 18%. Edit: Turns out it was right at 18% (Navy formula)

OYS #2 (previous) Stats 6', 165lb, 18% BF, 1 rep bench: 170lb, 1 rep squat: 200lb (before quarantine) Physical Not much change. Still working out at home, still doing core workouts every day. My core is slowly improving, in the sense that I can go longer before the burn becomes overwhelming. Still no more than 2 sort-of-visible abs, though. Diet is still just ok. I need more vegetables. Relationships Slowly getting better. I got my wife flowers this week, which she always loves. One thing that's…

First OYS! Physical The gym is closed, but they've been posting home workouts everyday, and I've been doing most of them. I don't have access to really heavy weights, so I doubt I'm getting stronger, but I've been extra focused on what I can do, so things like core work. I never realized how weak my core is until now. That's probably why I've stalled on the big lifts like squats and deadlifts. Diet is ok, not as good as it was before quarantine, but working on getting better. My wife actually co…

Interesting. Maybe I did some of this unintentionally. There have been plenty of times lately where I get home from work and immediately start cooking and cleaning and stuff like that, and she can tell I'm stressed. I've also tried to start saying "I'm stressed" when she asks instead of saying something like "I'm fine. It's all fine." And anytime you feel upset at something she's said or done, take care of it with actions, not words. What does that mean, exactly? Like if she's left her dirty dis…
