It's kind of interesting to see the sales. The Last Jedi did pretty well in the US but bombed everywhere else. Meanwhile 2049 was considered a Box Office failure in the US, but the rest of the world loved it.

I showed an outsider friend about MGTOW. He essentially said its because MGTOW "Goes against everything society expects from men", and I'd have to agree. They expect men to bow down to women, take care of them, and every moment has to be shared with the woman. I guess the dark side is that it might desensitize Japanese people for wanting an ideal someone, but when you see how high other people have their standards in relationships, no wonder people just give up and find an alternative to please their desires.
