saying things like i'd love to kill that (insert slur+ expletive here). So you think subs that talk about killing men should be banned too? There are a lot of subs that talk about hate, but being that its directed towards an acceptable group, they are allowed to stay open and dont even have to be quarantined.
/r/MensRights30/12/15 11:01 PM

Do you feel the same way for subs that promote hate that are not closed down? I don't think ideas should be censored. A point of view will stand or fail based on its own merits.

Yes, lets make sweeping generalizations. I'd rather make a decision based on the individual.

So having a marginal better chance at getting to half the schools studied is a benefit? 48 of the schools admitted more women and 16 had equal admittance rates. Yeah, there is a small area where men do have a benefit, but overall men are the minority in all of colleges and degree earners. This study would be interesting to look into further.

Where are the facts that males get in easier, just because of their gender?
/r/MensRights10/12/15 03:33 AM

Not only does being male benefit you at more schools than it hurts you How so? You end up with more student loans. You can be kicked out with nothing more than an accusation. You are constantly reminded how you are the evil in the world. I don't see where you are getting this bull you are claiming.

Yeah, lets focus on one small inequality instead of the larger ones out there where men are at a disadvantage. I mean, if $3 a year is such a bad equality that you have to complain about it, then there is no need to have a movement to gain equality. That means feminism is over. In reality, it is a movement for superiority and this is just another example of how entitles they are.
/r/MensRights09/12/15 11:57 PM

What about other items that fall into that same category? Why is it only tampons they are complaining about?

How can you speak about that many people you have not met? Do you have some sort of study to back up what you are saying?

God no! They don't like accountability, just privilege.

Why don't they say women's groups need to work with men's group for equality? Women's groups have no monopoly on equality. Fucking feminist perpetuating this type of thinking.

Most feminist I have met in person aren't nearly as radical as we see here online. Though they do seem a bit oblivious to men's issues, most have been sympathetic when issues are pointed out.

ll be the first acknowledge that there is some hate in the mrm but frankly feminists and mens lib over emphasize it. In order to make themselved look better. Sadly that is true. i usually downvote post like that. I'm sure some of it stems from bitterness at a situation the person has gone through, but like I feel applies to women as well as men, that does not justify hate. I feel it is something we, as a community, need to point out and show it isn't something we tolerate.
/r/MensRights18/11/15 01:14 AM

They don't do that. They don't allow criticism of feminism. That to me seems to be trying to make feminism=women. You can be for women's equality and anti-feminist, as this sub shows.

For different goals. There are some common views, but MRAs seem to be more for changing them for equality, whereas Redpillers seem to game those things for their own purposes.

If you want to foster discussion, dismissing a groups views as being bitter isn't a way to do that. There are reasons to call feminist bitter, yet you aren't there having that discussion. You seem to want to pander to them more than anything. In the thread about rape, you completely let go of the fact that women rape men as well. Best I saw in what you linked was disagreeing with them and asking if maybe your view could be correct on them perceiving things the wrong way. I'm not going through yo…

I got your list and looked it over. I don't see where you really call them out. You seem to be walking on egg shells and agreeing to them needing to be pandered to. Where in there do you call them bitter or really tell them that they need to grow a thicker skin? You didn't link any topic where you just generally asked if feminist were bitter either. I don't see any reason to believe that you would do the same on a feminist sub. Well unless you did and it was removed an you were banned.
/r/MensRights10/11/15 11:23 PM

You need to look into feminist organizations then. Specifically look into National organization for Women.

hat gender equality can encompass all issues. If you make it do so. And as a male first I would like to see issues that effect me directly addressed more often. But as a BF I would also like to see my gfs issues addressed, as a son I;d like to parental rights for a father addressed, i mean I don;t limit my sphere of issues. When I talk with fems I discuss mens issues and how whatever they're talking about pertains to men, when I talk to men's rights i do the same. I don't subscribe to the sit do…

Sure, send them to me. Being willing to discuss from a male POV does not back up a claim you made. We also see so many examples of f…

Thanks for this. It is oftentimes only heard how women (should be some women) are horrible when it comes to social standards. It's good to be reminded that there are reasonable women around. This sub focuses on the worst women too much.

its also good to peruse other subs so if you find stats that seem faulty you can have a counter data set that is backed by a better source, you can't debate if you don;t know what the hell you're saying. Yeah, that is why many of us are banned from feminist subs (some by default simply for posting here). Many of us are well aware of the data behind issues. The thing is, we can't have debate with feminist as they shut everything down with lies and name calling. I have yet to encounter a post that…

I have been there, though I was single. A man in that situation feels like they are worthless. Society judges men's worth by what they can provide. You seem to be a supportive person, which is a good asset in this situation. I would recommend that you help him feel like he still has value and that you still need need and want him. Like someone mentioned before, ask if he can take care of something around the house, something always needs to be fixed. There is no way to to try and guide someone t…

That is something that needs to be taught in sex ed. I make the analogy that a woman's nipples getting hard does not mean they are consenting.

So men's rights has a horrible tag on only existing to counter females being equal Forget about the lie that feminism is for equality and going against feminism is anti-female. MRAs are for equality and bringing attention to male issues that are overlooked or ignored. While some here have experienced the things mentioned in your post, doesn't mean that people can't stand up for issues they have not experienced. Wow. That is less than what you would get for driving with no insurance in my state. Used to work in loss prevention with a guy that claimed he didn't need handcuff because he was good at de-escalation. it was all bullshit. Having served in both the Navy and Army, going to 2 different basics, one coed and one not, I can say that having females does make things a lot different. In the all male group, things went smoother as there were consensus on how to do things. In the coed group, there was a lot more arguing in how some things should be done. It seems the all male group worked well and didn't feel the need to discuss and argue about the best way to work as a team.

The HR department is not there to assist you, it's there to protect the company, and in 2015 punishing a sexist woman for being sexist does not protect the company This is the important part. It is easier to run a male employee off than to punish a female manager for sexual harassment. A lawyer is the better route to go, as they have their clients interest in mind over the company.

Some sacrifices have greater long-term consequences. You're right. Re-entering the workforce is a smaller consequence than dying 5 years earlier on average. Where are the proposals to make sure men are taken care of after a divorce? Alimony shouldn't be payed out at all. The contract is broken. The trade of taking care of the home and children in exchange of being provided for is done. People overlook the fact that men work longer hours and more dangerous jobs, but feel that women deserve to be …

Why should one party still have to comply with a broken contract while the other doesn't? Both parties made sacrifices for the relationship, but it seem that the one to stay home for the kids (traditionally the females) are the only ones people seem to recognize as making a sacrifice. They are the only one that people also think that should be continually payed after a contract has been terminated. Alimony would be fair, provided the other party still maintained their part of the contact. Everyo…

That is valid criticism of this sub, but we can speak freely without fear of being banned. They might not be as outspoken about the harm feminism has done, but the whole feel there is that you can't speak out about much unless you want to get censored. This is the same bullshit pro MGM people have been spewing. Just because in one case someone had to have it done because of a legitimate medical issue does not mean everyone should have it done at birth. That is a very selfish and appalling view. The points he brings up: less chance of catching certain STDs, less chance of transferring diseases to female partner, less chance of getting dick cancer Can be prevented by condoms or vaccinations. It is a big point that we do discuss here often. It isn't the only thing we talk about here is because, in my opinion, it isn't an issue that effects us as bad as other issues. Not many here have a story about how they got a harsher sentence for a crime, but many have stories about child custody or of being a victim of DV but treated like the aggressor. Marriage and having children are simply more common than being arrested for a crime. Many men here have gone through MGM as well. With any group…

Cops are not experts on the law. I have gotten different answers about the same laws from different police officers. If they were experts, they would be lawyers and wouldn't have to rely on little books telling them what laws are what (seen them pulled out before so they can get law number and/or find out if the crime fits that law).

Seems they are picked things that they thought were embarrassing that a state searched more than any other. So Bronies could be number 101 in California but 100 in Washington, but they picked it because their subjective view says it is embarrassing. Would be like you listening to the song "Barbie Girl" twice last year, but I only did once, we could make a list saying you listen to the song more than I do.

Yeah, didn't know I would have to say it was sarcasm, but I guess some people don't pick that up. They can be innocent if they are making a rape accusation and were actually raped. It would be a good thing to actually have a good legal system to deal with it, than to go to a archaic system of witch hunts, where even if you were innocent you were still dead.
/r/MensRights31/08/15 01:20 AM

We do generally acknowledge them and condemn them. I don't see calling the MRM a hate movement, as feminist do, anything other than an attempt to discredit our movement. The fact that we have female members that are treated as equals, unlike how male feminist are treated, shows we are in no danger of going down that path.
/r/MensRights28/08/15 03:26 AM

You said to try and prove mrm isn't a hate group. I think the examples you gave are weak examples of how it could be shown to be one. Sure, you will have individuals that say some things but iirc people called those comments out when they were posted. That is the difference, we will call out things that appear to be hateful, wher feminism will rally around those people.

The big difference is one place talking about a couple issues that could be seen as a bit on the extreme side. Feminism is a whole lot different in wanting to make sweeping changes to would negatively effect men. We do dislike feminism, but have nothing against women at home. Some do share negative views about females that continue thinking men should stick to their gender role. Saying AVFM saying some questionable stuff equals MRM being a hate group is hyperbolic. No, the cops aren't assholes here. The fact you think cops there are nice despite them pulling you over all the time, shows you are really an idiot or trolling. Not sure what that line has to do with feminism. There is nothing wrong with promoting fixing problems over complaining about them. It is when you put conditions on what being a man is. "man up and solve the problem" and other stupid ways of thinking. You're not saying we should solve an issue instead of complaining about it, you're stating we should do it because that is what men do. It is still a possibility, something that shouldn't be the case. Rape should never be seen as a punishment and done outside of the law.
/r/MensRights21/08/15 02:22 AM

So joking about rape is acceptable now? I think part of it is that most people think it is a worthy goal to reduce rape, but few care to reduce prison rape, and even see it as an acceptable punishment. I believe that is why MRAs are upset. People are joking that someone will likely be raped and that it suits their views because he somehow deserves that.

I'm sorry I didn't make that clear enough for you. I assumed it would be obvious that I'm not actually claiming to be voting for Kang, given that I said: "If I did say" rather than "I am voting for." Again, I apologize, I forget sometimes that on Reddit, English is not always a first language. No, that is on me. I read fast and sometimes miss a word. You are a fucking idiot if you think that because people in power have been mostly white males, that that equals all white males have power. Some white men have had power, but there are a lot more that have not. The most powerful person in the country is a black man. Does that mean we can conclude that black men have power? This is all ignoring the fact that women are the majority voters.
/r/MensRights20/08/15 03:29 AM

Saying Candidate X does the same shit, but I'm still voting for them sounds dogmatic or zealous to me, without additional information. So you don't ask for any reason. You also seem to forget the fact that almost all candidates lies about some wedge issue. All this coming from someone claiming they are voting for an alien, is just absurd.
/r/MensRights20/08/15 03:09 AM

Why not vote for him anyways if you like his views? Have you only voted for people that have the same view as you on every issue? Yeah, I dislike his view on the wage gap, but I also disagree on issues with other candidates I have voted on in the past. You have to look at the whole. I doubt you would find any candidate that would say the wage gap is a myth. Would you vote for Trump if he were to say that?

They want us to ignore false accusations. They want people to believe that false accusations of rape are the same as they are with other crimes. That is why you are getting resistance to your ideas. Fighting against false accusations are one of the bigger issues of the MRM. I looked and saw 2% as the most often cited number. Maybe look at non feminist sources? Something a little more balanced. No, it is not. Feminist claim that people (men) looking at them is sexual assault. So you are saying that sexual assault via looking is normalized, like other radical feminist. I, personally, don't think sexual assault is as common as feminist make it seem. I don't think that the video that started this whole thing is sexual assault or even assault. I think it is simply a act for misandrist retards to try and get back at a "bad man".

They are also supposed to be assertive. You see many examples of this in media, where a male knows what he wants and isn't afraid to let someone know if something needs to be different. I don't think men are not supposed to complain at all. It might be more about complaining about emotional support or similar. but to complain about shoes not being right or a meal not to their liking, I don't think it is seen as part of the "man up" thing at all.

MinsLib is a sub about men that believe the feminist propaganda. But to look at gender roles, just look at how a group advocates for the other gender. Feminism doesn't say much about how men should be allowed to do things that are traditionally female, unless it is saying that they would force men to do those things, because men should be like a slave. MRM wants people to choose what they want to do, regardless of gender. The want the same options for men that women have.

Women vote, but don't do the fighting. So, yes, women do send men off to war. They do it and don't have the obligation to fight, all while feminist cry about how women are the primary victims.

What I do know better than you is how much men can hate and dehumanize "substandard" women. We are very literally worth less because we have failed to please their eyes. Well, when you can feel how much women can hate "substandard" men (and that is a much wider area for men), then maybe you can see how your views are totally made up. It is way to easy to act like it is a gendered issue, when there is none. You don't know any more than I do why that guy killed those women in Lane Bryant. Yet that…

Oh? Against rape or for false allegations and wongly accusing people? Is college sexual assult as big of an issue as it is made out to be by feminist? I think the lawsuits you see against univerities and their lack of due process says otherwise. Fuck one of the core ideals of freedom though, we have a witch hunt to go to! Has nothing to do with hating Obama and all to do with thinking due process is an important ideal that needs to be upheld, and to see a leader of a free country promoting a wit…

Yeah, seems like it is an idea that falls apart once any individual is actually involved. I think it is designed, that based on 100 interactions, it might work mostly well a majority of those times. I don't see how it does any good when you actually have to interact with an individual. If you were dealing with caricatures, it would be a great philosophy.

If he didn't he should have kept his mouth shut, or he could just parrot feminist talking points, like he does. Heaven forbid a leader of a country actually act on matters with reliable info.

Covering your ears and yelling "I'M NOT LISTENING!", is a very cultish thing to do. But then again, some people are bothered by facts and logic, often times they call themselves feminist. I assume you aren't going to read the link because you're afraid they might make a good argument?

I think it has more to do with the society that enables and rewards this sense of entitlement. If it was about her getting help, there wouldn't be an issue. I'm willing to bet that if it was a story about a veteran getting in trouble, several times, after refusing mental help, people here would be just as harsh. Also, most veterans don't have the financial support this woman had and if they did, very few, if any, would scoff at it, thinking they deserved more. People aren't cheering for her to h…

Nice. I mean, it wasn't like women didn't get pregnant to avoid going on deployment. I knew a few women that took maternity leave, and never heard them mention it was too short. The Navy also didn't care if men had a new child. I knew a few new fathers that got to see their child for the first time over email.

It's quite simple. Feminist don't want equality and actively work against it. Plenty of men's issues are caused by feminist actions. You wouldn't work with the KKK for racial equality, why should MRAs work with feminist for gender equality?

I personally like to hold my self to a standard to seek evidence first. I feel it is bad for me to not be logical about something likes this. But normal people do and have had a bad effect when it comes to judging someone based on accusation. That is why a lot of MRAs are against rushing to judgement. Look up how someone that is tried and acquitted of rape has to go through, to see the danger in people rushing to judgement.
/r/MensRights27/07/15 10:38 PM

That's why I have reserved judgement. I just don't see accusation being convincing evidence. It is dangerous to believe it is. People are all to capable of lying or being mistaken. All i see now, is that there are accusations and he admitted to using a popular recreational drug.

By your logic you have to believe that aliens visit Earth, 9/11 was an inside job, that our politicians are lizard people and the holocaust didn't happen. What other evidence do you have that he did rape all those people? You would be a horrible juror because all you need is some people making a claim to make an opinion of guilt or innocence. Why not wait until things work through the system before making an opinion at all?

That's my point. Seems like you can't even decide on a subjective guess either. Even the term "screw loose" leaves a lot to guess at. Redpillers are different than MRAs. There are some shared opinions, but completely different communities. MRAs arent overly concerned with picking up women or getting married, often times it is even advised against. If you read this sub a little more, I think you will get the idea. MRAs don't really care about sexual preference. Yes, there is a lot to do with relationships with females, as that is what is most common. There are a lot of other issues that men face outside of relationships.

That's why I think the term "lifestyle they are accustomed to " is bullshit. For alimony, it's unjustifiable and simply to redistribute money that isn't there for people that made bad life choices. For child support, it is ridiculous to think that after a separation that things can stay the same financially. Divorce is a huge change in lives of family members. It does not represent cost of raising a child. There are many instances where it is a lot more than what it would cost a month. If moms don't profit, why not have them show records that all support goes for the child. They should have to justify what they seek for in monthly payments. If both parents have equal support, regardless of income disparity, there should be no parent paying support at all.

By your admission it still is granted to the mother only a vast majority of the time. Just because it has changed a little, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Let's not forget that men have to fight really hard to even get 50/50 custody, and has to prove the mother is absolutely unfit before he gets full custody.
/r/MensRights17/07/15 11:12 PM

It also wouldn't be reduced if the kid lives in a 50/50 arrangement. That shows why it is for moms. If there is a 50/50 share of time with the kids, nobody should be getting support. Why would a mother need support if she only has them half the time? I would feel better about child support if mothers had so show how the money was spent for the kids. The mother shouldn't profit from support for children.

I think they are claiming them as the same because they are both needless, cruel and should not be done. But yet only 1 is acceptable by society. Yet, feminist will claim that they are not the same, as a way of distraction, by comparing MGM to the most severe FGM, to try an prove that MGM isn't anything to be worried about. Trying to compare what is worse is the wrong way to look at it though. We can argue if cutting someones arm off is worse than just half their arm. Both are horrible and wrong. We can't get stuck in this line of reasoning because people that think it is alright to continue MGM use it as a way to justify their actions, because it isn't as bad as something else.

You will find most of the MRM will agree that any genital mutilation is wrong. People disagree with you (as do I) about how MGM is not as severe as FGM. I disagree, but upvoted because you actually gave a reasonable argument. Not all FGM is as severe as the media will make is seem. Some FGM is done for fashion reasons as well. I'd recommend looking into different types of FGM. Some are just as simple as nicking or pricking the labia. Another is removing the clitoral hood, which is kind of similar to MGM, but not as severe. Besides, being as genitals are widely different, why try and compare apples to apples? Why can't we just get rid of both bec…
