Fair enough. I can't imagine trying to start a family in my early or mid 40s. My youngest graduated high school when I was 49 and I was already retired by then! This is one area where I think RPW really gets it right: the notion that the popular life trajectory of delaying even considering finding a husband until her late 20s or early 30s is going to force a woman (who wants kids) to make a lot of high-consequence decisions under biological duress.

My take would be: it's the approach in "The Case Settling for Mr. Good Enough." Women need to lower their standards for the superficial stuff (looks, money, status, height) and raise their standards on character (honestly, faithfulness, kindness, emotional maturity). I chuckled when I read this because RP men are deliberately selecting against women who act on this philosophy (colloquially, we would call this being "beta bucks"). We're generally looking for signs of "genuine burning desire" that…

I'm neither a therapist nor doctor, but this is reddit, so why should that stop me from dispensing advice? Here's a theory to consider if it applies to you: You might be in a self-reinforcing negative cycle that looks like this: You are overweight You want to attract a high quality man to settle down with You understand that men, on average, prefer women who are not overweight You feel negative feelings toward yourself (shame? self-hatred? something else?) You comfort yourself the only way you k…

I'm a man, and I endorse this message. If you're looking for other ideas, my favorite ex used to make me these cute, whimsical sketches from time to time. I thought it was a really sweet gesture.

I truly desire to be married (just once) and have a family. Sounds like a wonderful goal. Unfortunately, it's pretty obvious how following your mom's advice will move you further from your goal rather than towards it. You'll be inviting toxic love-bombers into your life and just keep churning through them, discarding each one once he fancies a new woman or runs out of money. There is just nothing about your mom's advice that is compatible with your goals. You said you weren't looking for advice,…

For the sake of discussion, let's just take it on faith that you truly are as ugly as you say you are. Here's what I would tell you if you were my friend or sister or something. In no particular order: Physical appearance is important to men (but it isn't everything); so what you can to get to at least 80% of your genetic potential in the key areas like physique, hairstyle, skincare, style, makeup, etc (the helpful women here can fill in the 'etc' way better than I could). But really use the 80/…

Good. So it sounds like you know the process. When is your appointment with your doctor? Taking a very quick glance at your Reddit post history, I think there are just too many moving parts in your situation for you to get inner peace from a forum comment. Working over time with a trained professional who can also be an accountability partner would do you some actual good vs. the quickie dopamine hit you get from venting online.

I mean, there all kinds of men out there with all kinds of opinions, but I can't imagine a man thinking a woman was "icky" because she was raped. Anyway, if there is a small minority of men who would think such a thing, that is definitely not the man for you (or frankly probably for anyone, but that's a side issue). If it were me, I'd more want to know how your history affects you, and by extension, affects me. If your plan is to use me as your untrained, unqualified therapist, that isn't someth…

When you were cheated on in the past, what hurt more? The sex? Or was it the lying, the deception, the broken promises, the humiliation? Maybe a mutual friend knew and said nothing? Maybe you were the last to find out? For most people, the real sting comes from everything other than the sex itself. Like, if my partner lied to me about this, or promised me this, but then did something else, what else is her or she lying to me about? Or what other promises will he or she break? And of course, bein…

It's a shame Red Pill can't be trademarked, because my understanding is that "women are the problem" is Black Pill, no? My takeaway from TRP that there is a difference between what society tells you and how life actually works. If you act in accordance with how life actually works, you will save yourself a ton of grief and frustration. Red pill should be liberating for a man. An a-ha journey. Sure, there's an anger phase at having been misled, but staying angry is wasting valuable time and energ…

I've never once seen any red pill theory on the men's side that includes hitting a romantic partner. This is not something that red pill addresses or frankly would even tolerate. If your boyfriend is already hitting you in front of firefighters(!!), you should not stick around to see what he is capable of behind closed doors.

Four months is still supposed to be the honeymoon phase. Not the "is my drama llama boyfriend even straight?" phase. You're in college! If your mind is mush, it should have been from having read too much Kierkegaard at 3am. Not from your gay boyfriend drama.

When someone feels the need to get into others' faces to proclaim how happy they are, I always wonder if they're being honest with themselves. This just doesn't seem like something a contented person would do.

You're going to give your boyfriend a lot of cognitive dissonance if you ask him to hold the following two facts in his head at the same time: "I'm lucky to have found you and imagine a future with you" "I want to date other men" I'm trying to think of how I might have reacted had my wife dropped this on me while we were boyfriend/girlfriend; and nothing I'm coming up with is "married sooner" or even "married at all". I'd listen to your instinct that this might sabotage what you two have going. …

Yes, I have female friends. No, none of them have offered to set me up when I ask. This is telling right here. A good man is hard to find, so why would precisely zero of them ever play matchmaker? There's something with you that's a dealbreaker that they're not telling you about. And it's not your height and weight, because look around you. There are short, fat men who are partnered-up. I'm not trying to hurt your feelings here, but your issue is that nobody is willing to level with you. So you'…

Others have given you dating advice, but let me try to answer your question about regrets. When I revisit past decisions that I made, I like to ask myself, "Self, did you make the best decision that you could have, given the information that you had at the time?" When I frame it that way, I either erase any regrets I might have had since I did the best I could have; or if I really could have made a better decision, I use that information to make better decisions going forward. Which brings us to…

Male ECs: feel free to add/correct anything in the comments Only thing I'd add is that you can encounter some angry blackpillers, too. We try to shoo them over to the sidebar for a healthy dose of self-improvement. Get off the men’s spaces. I agree with this 100%, and would also add that red pill men and women aren't as automatically compatible as the names would imply. The "red pill" part just means we're both trying to align our life and relationship strategies more closely with our life goals…

I'm just curious. This guy you want, who is "someone who not only going to do all those things but making over 100k", as you say. What's your plan to find him? Are you getting hit on a lot by rich dudes? I think you should marry your fiance. You love each other. He had some legal trouble, but he's still who he is, and he'll probably land on his feet. He goes to church. I know it's easy for me to say since I've never tried living paycheck to paycheck, but you two sound like you'd make a great tea…

First of all, I wouldn't approach in the gym. Be sociable with everyone, sure. But don't start asking for numbers or socials unless a girl approaches you. You don't want to be the gym creeper, and if you're bad enough, you won't be allowed to lift there anymore. But other than that, I think you're worried about nothing. As you go about your day, strike up conversations with lots of people, guys and girls. For the girls, do your flirty escalation and see if she keeps matching you. If yes, great! …

Nobody here can read this chick's mind, but it's 90% a soft no. If she were interested in you, she'd make time to get a coffee with you. I'm also a little confused why you went from a hike to a coffee date. That's a de-escalation, no? Why not invite her to something you might both enjoy, based on your conversation on the hike? Or at least something that's a bit more "you"? Something to keep in mind for the next chick. If she texts you next week, great! But don't count on it. Keep approaching oth…

How long does STI screening take by you? I get results in like 2 days. I'm not OP, but I don't think waiting 2 days for sex was what he was talking about. Also, your "does he want a relationship?" test is pretty shaky. If he doesn't think you are sexually compatible, that relationship isn't going to last long enough to nurture your soul or whatever. In modern, secular dating, sex precedes commitment. Run your girl game as you see fit, but at least put yourself in the guy's shoes and think about …

Wow, dude. You're 22. You've got a lifetime of earning potential ahead of you and you're paranoid that someone might take the smallest advantage of you. If you need an asset protection attorney, call one. But until then, focus on building a life of abundance. And if someone takes advantage of you? Whatever, you'll dust yourself off and move on. But being so paranoid and guarded is going to get you nowhere.

Would you want to date yourself? Even ignoring your height and your looks, would you want to date someone with your attitude and with your life? Your attitude and your empty life can be fixed, and I strongly recommend that you do so because, woman or no woman, you will always have to live with yourself. The good news is you're only 22. You've got your whole life ahead of you. You should read a ton of the wisdom on the sidebar, but here are some specific tips that I noticed just from reading a fe…

5'7" guy. On the one hand, there's no denying the reams of social science that show advantages afforded to taller men. On the other hand, there are all kinds of other advantages a man can develop that we actually have control over. Did I miss some sexual and career opportunities due to my height? Yeah, probably. But I can't control this, and there anyway is plenty of opportunity out there for us 5'whatevers. More than any of us could take advantage of in just one lifetime. The usual RP principle…

Hell, when we met I was the one who watched porn more, though it was pretty casual and not something intense and overwhelming. This is really the key. Addiction to anything is going to be hard on relationships by definition. One of the defining characteristics of addiction is that it's harming the addict's relationships. For my wife and me, porn isn't a problem. Hell, we watch together! I think it's been a positive force in our sex lives. It gets us in the mood, and after 25 years, sometimes a l…

Kids learn the most by what they observe. Always model the behavior that you expect from them. And that goes especially for your relationship with your wife. People tend to default to the type of relationship that their parents had, so build the type of relationship with your wife that you'd want for your children. As long as I'm on my soapbox, I'll give you two more nuggets for no extra charge: Read to your kids every day. Even as a newborn. They'll get to an age where they are super curious ab…

A lot of redpill men want their wives to be homemakers. On the men's side, there isn't a lot of redpill philosophy on marriage. It's mostly about finding an executing on our life's mission, living up to our potential in life, and sexual strategy for men. You won't really find much, if anything, about housewives. A big chunk of redpill men aren't looking for (or offering) commitment at all (see "spinning plates"). For those of us who are in relationships, we're generally selecting for the most fe…

He said he may change his mind in the future but why do we need to put a label on things. Assuming that nothing changes, is this the relationship that you want to be in? If you're happy, then go for it! But he definitely deceived you about the vasectomy, and it sounds to me like he's trying to keep your hopes for some type of commitment alive with vague maybe openness at some point in the future, but maybe not. Based on your other comments, this dude is flying more red flags than a Chinese New Years parade. But I did want to answer this question for you: Is this a common trend for all HVM that are into the red pill theory. The answer is "it depends" on where the guy is on his life journey. Met a young lady who want…

You've been dating for over a year. Don't you think you've passed the point of red flags or yellow flags or whatever? Haven't you gotten a sense of his character yet? Anyway, if you're expecting a 22-year-old to have his whole life figured out, you're gonna have a bad time. He's going to be trying on a lot of different philosophies for size. That's part of being 22.

Unpopular opinion? Well, I had the very same thought. This is really unusual behavior for a guy, to be able to conjure up so many images of dress styles that he likes. For the sake of comparison, in all my years of being a dude, my knowledge of women's clothing begins and ends with how to remove it most efficiently. I could speculate about what would cause him to be so into dresses, but in the end, it'd just be guesses. Maybe he has a kink for women modeling dresses for him in private? If that's…

he doesnt think marriage gives any important legal benefits for him He's probably wrong about that. Let's say you buy a house together and cars and boats and stuff together. He's a baller, no? Now let's say you die. Not a pleasant thought, but is he going to be any happier now that he co-owns all that stuff with your parents? A few things to think about: There is no exclusivity law about who can use the term "Red Pill". It's a metaphor from a movie, symbolizing the revelation that the society and its rules that you thought were truth were actually a lie that's convenient for someone other than you. That is naturally going to mean different things to different people. Unlike the movie, "taking the red pill" in real life isn't just a pill that you pop and enlightenment is now yours. It's a long and sometimes unpleasant…

I have some bad news for you: high net worth men are actively screening against partners who are primarily interested in their money. That predates any "manosphere", pills of any colors, etc. Hopefully, the reason is obvious. We want a partner who actually likes us and will enhance our lives. I'd recommend that you not think about a partner in terms of net worth. Rather, you should be thinking about the life and lifestyle that you want. Anyway, I've nailed chicks everywhere from 5'0" to 5'10". I do agree with you that shorter dudes may have good luck with Asians or Latinas. I know that I have. RPM here. I think you are very close, but I'd take it a step further. When I picture a "post-wall woman", her demeanor is angry, contemptuous, and she blames/shames men for her newfound lack of dating success. Those attitudes are phenomenally off-putting and wind up only feeding her bad dating luck even more. In other words, the situation is more dire than just not knowing how to put her best foot forward. Short answer: I think you need to take a step back and ask yourself what kind of relationship you want. Only once you know that, will you know if your BF is the man to build it with. Long answer: So far, I count two things your relationship has going for it: You are emotionally attached to him ("I love him very much"), and The sex is good. Those are both good things, no doubt. That's a total abuser thing to say. Anytime someone says that to you, your alarm bells should be going bananas. As for how to proceed, you've got choices. Some thoughts Discuss this with your OBGYN and make sure everything is okay medically. If your OBGYN blows off your concerns, get a new one. Have you tried masturbating with toys? Many women have better luck with toys. If you're in a legal state and you have no moral qualms about it, marijuana can help. A lot. Is the pain that you get after 10 minutes due to insufficient lubrication? If so, add lube. Consume a variety of erotica--you might discover a few sexual fantasies.

You've gotten some good advice. I'd like to add two things that you should be focusing on that will tell both of you if you're on the right track: values and making memories. If you want to team up with someone to start a family with, you have to share values in the areas that matter to you. Some values are going to need to matter, like religion, if you want kids or not, how many, how to raise them, how to handle money, what kind of sex you desire, forgiveness, etc. But start talking about your …

Nothing is going to change because your guy has no reason to change. It's not like he's some 22 year old hothead. This is him. I've been married a long time, closed relationship, and I'm not sure I can say say that the answer is black and white. It really depends on the relationship and the reason for bringing in extra partners. Like, what happens if one partner loses interest in sex and doesn't want to bang anymore? Why should he or she get to force the partner into a life of celibacy? What if there isn't a sexual compatibility, like one partner is super kinky and the other is super vanilla? Then what? Just split? What…

I'm not OP, but I can give another data point for you to consider. I'm an older, happily-married dude. Kids are grown. Money is not a problem. We enjoy each other's company. I don't regret anything, but if we were to ever split for whatever reason, I would not remarry. Why would I not remarry? There is no need to! I'm not having any more kids. I own my home outright, so no need to own/pay for property with a woman. I would want my estate to go to my children. So... why should I get married? I th…

It's been a lot of years since my wife had our kids, but here are some thoughts based on what I remember: If you're "STARVING", as you say, you might not be eating enough. Making milk, and the milk itself, takes calories. My wife ate about the same amount that I did while she was nursing, and she still lost her pregnancy weight very quickly. A lot of people look at RP jargon, find it .. eh .. jarring, and latch onto the details, missing the forest through the trees. In my mind, the crux of RP is striving to be the type of man you can be proud of, then walking confidently through the world, secure in the knowledge that you're on the right path. And when you're confidently walking your right path, people respect you and gravitate toward you. Am I right that your boyfriend discovered RP after you two met? It's just shocking to me that …

I run into this all the time on the RP side. Maybe my experience can help you? The two things I like to keep in mind when talking with frustrated men are: You can't help someone who doesn't want help. Mentioning Red Pill, or any Red Pill jargon, is a great way to get someone to tune you out. Polite society has done a great job vilifying this vocabulary, so put the concepts into your own words and let them stand on their own. For example, if a guy is frustrated that he's "in love with" a woman wh…

That’s exactly why they need to be held to high standards and be accountable for their actions. I agree 100%. The whole point of the police and the courts is to protect victims, and to protect the accused. It's because this group doesn't own a monopoly on the Red Pill metaphor. Red Pill, as a metaphor, just describes revealing the truths that society conceals. For the alt right, that means that they see the world differently from the mainstream. They think that they're being lied to. In a percentage of cases, they're probably right. I don't know enough about alt right to even guess at that percentage, but judging by how wrong mainstream society gets masculinity and relationships between the sexes,…

If you aren't interested in sex, it's worth bringing it up with your doctor. It could be a sign of a health issue. Or you could just be asexual. It's not super common, but it's common enough. If that's the case, I would recommend seeking a partner who is also asexual. Otherwise, the sexual incompatibility will be dramatic and I wouldn't expect the relationship to last in the long run.

One thing I'd advise is to consider the logistics of what you're after. Once you know your target market, where to find him should be clearer. It sounds like you want a man to support you financially, while you would not work outside of the home. I think in a lot of ways, it depends on what we're calling "friends". Like, what's the minimum level of familiarity to use the word "friend"? Do we need to hang out together? I get your point about cancel culture, but what's the point of being RP, only to pretend to the world that you're a "liberal-minded, sex-positive feminist" BP? The answer obviously isn't to pretend to be BP. Surely she can grasp the concept that when you're in the flow and you have an hour left of work, if she breaks your focus, then you still have that hour of work left, but you have to take more time to get your focus back. So by being "cute", she's working against her goals of spending more time with you. So have a conversation to make sure you are both on the same page and maybe come up…

I do think that Red Pill is becoming more and more well known. That being said, the proportion of people who view Red Pill positively vs negatively still skews hard toward the negative. Anyone doubting this should contemplate why reddit quarantined all RP communities. I think a lot of the hate is from people who have never visited an RP community and just thinks it's a bunch of violent incels. But anytime some loser comes around posting incel garbage, they get called out and downvoted pretty qui…

You wanted to bang her before. So she booty calls you and you still don't smash? I guess you had your reasons.

Your beneficiaries will get the proceeds in the proportion that you designate. If no beneficiary, your heirs get it based on your will, or the laws of your state, if you have no will. In the US, if you have no beneficiary and no will and no statutory next of kin, your state would get your money (Google term you want is "escheat"). Your broker definitely doesn't get to keep your money.

Do you know any actual people in their late 60s early 70s? Because the ones I know seem really happy. It's almost as if a person's interests can change over time and the allure of snorting coke out of a hooker's asscrack is fleeting. From what I see, most old folks don't start wishing they were dead until their 90s when shit really starts to fall apart.

When you croak, your broker doesn't just steal your money. Your heirs get it.

Are you in sales, by any chance? While I note your persistence and admire your courage in attempting to dress up "sticking my tongue into some dude's foul poop chute", maybe you should start small in trying to entice a straight dude into his first gay whatever.

I have not. And it turns out that this is not on my bucket list, either.

Heh. Well yeah, of course we're not. I'm not gay, and you're not either. If you were, you'd be ordering dick on the apps right now instead of trolling random dudes on TRP.

You're having way too much fun with this.

I'm very happy for both of you. But that doesn't help OP carry a conversation.

But he doesn't want to have sex with the dude. He wants to be able to carry a conversation when the dude isn't there. I get it. You like gay sex a lot. But it turns out that gay sex isn't the solution to each and every one of life's problems.

What the actual fuck does this have to do with OP's question about keeping the conversation going?

You can't just tell a chick to lose weight, what the fuck. Most people can't muster the knowledge and/or motivation to lose weight, and anybody doubting this is encouraged to visit the local Walmart for some people-watching. Thanks Netflix and Doordash. Like anything else, the man needs to be the leader. Eat right, work out, be active, and invite your LTR to join you in all of these. Do the thought work for her and all she has to do is show up. If she does, then great! If she does not, then the …

it's going to be very hard to get her to lose baby weight. Post baby is when most women gain weight and never lose it. FYI, this was not the case in my wife's experience. I mean, it's not like she lost it all in the first month, but she did in the first year. Granted, we're a really active family and we eat healthy food, but I'm just saying that having a kid doesn't change the fundamentals of fitness. Like anything else, the man needs to be the leader of the household. Be active, work out, eat r…

Are you sure you're not overthinking this? You suggested later in the week because you already have plans earlier in the week. That's the whole point of spinning plates. You keep options so that you're not beholden to the fleeting whims of any specific chick. None of this is punishment. It's just the reality of being with a high SMV dude. She needs to accept that you have a busy social calendar and not take it so fucking personally.

I think hard next is an overreaction. She could have just meant she's having a bad day. You could have just said she's fucked now because the Rona will turn her lungs into soup. See where that went. Does she normally talk like this? That being said, I'm not sure I'd personally want an LTR who talks like that. Maybe because I'm old, but that's just not my style.

Real estate values vary wildly by locality, and if housing prices in your area tank, it's probably because the local economy is also in the tank. It's really hard to tell you what to do without knowing your entire financial picture, but let me give you some guidelines based on what you've said: Any money you need within the next 12 months should be in a liquid, FDIC insured account. Like a money market or CD or something. You say you could pay for your downpayment with future income stream. Futu…

A few observations: The text was from "one of the main guys in my social circle". That sounds to me like more of an acquaintance than a friend. That is to say that he less likely to be acting in your interest, as a friend, than he is to be acting in his own self-interest, whatever that may be. So a bushel of salt is called for here. Also, you don't really mention if you are also one of the "main guys". If you're not, that's not good. The guy who's White Knighting you is surprisingly crass for be…

I haven't been married for 45 years, but I have been married for 30. I don't think my wife will cheat on me, but if she does, you know what? She had my kids, kept my home, gone on my adventures, been my cheerleader for 30 fucking years. That's a hell of a lot more than most people get, so while I'll miss her if we break up for whatever reason, it's not like I'm going to look back at the last 30 years as a mistake or failure.

Before I answer your question directly, I'm going to ask you the following: If this is happening so often that you felt the need to ask the Internets how to handle the situation, are you sure this job is part of your life mission? To work at a company where chicks cry to get out of working and then you have to do their job for them? I have to believe you're working below your capabilities if you have such ineffective coworkers. Update your resume. Okay, when this happens, your job is to be the c…
