How I've figured is at some point you need to make a take it or leave it deal and be ready for whatever the outcome may be. Sometimes it will work in your favor and other times not. Just do your best to build up for the moment as much as possible by allowing her to have one of the best times in her life. Keep in mind it's all about mutual fun and not just your own.

Play it cool. Don't fret on it too much. Go out for a run, work out, read up on something you've been interested in lately. Keep your mind off this girl whom you've made it through 2 years without thinking this much about. You obviously made quite an impression on her the last time you saw her that you were able to pull her in for a K-close that quickly into the dance session. Wait a couple of days then invite her for a night out with people who make you feel empowered and good about yourself (f…

I try to but sometimes it can get tough when we go out. We'll be driving to the venue for the evening and on the ride there they'll be talking about how much of a "trash bin" the place is to pick up "pigs (whores)" and all the while I'll just be sitting there quietly. I'm not saying I'm a complete angel when I go out, as my main prerogative for the evening is to have a fun time and meet someone to spend some intimate time with but it just makes me sick to my stomach hearing them talk like that.

I hear you. The thing is I've grown up with these guys and though it may seem they get rejected some of them do have quite a streak when it comes to the ladies. Makes me question whether it's all an act sometimes to put up in front of other males to make themselves seem more dominant, while behind stage they're actually quite submissive. Not entirely sure and as of now I doubt I'd get a straight answer if I was to ask them about it directly.

Truth. Thank you for the clarity my friend. At a certain point in life one definitely needs to take a step back and see how their actions impact those around them. Words are a weapon and can cause just as much good as they can harm.

I definitely hear you and again, thanks for the input bluehat9! The thing is that though this may seem like my friends are immature, some of them are actually older than I am! I'm currently 26 while some of my friends are up to in their mid thirties.

I agree with Seel007 in regards to getting your own place if your financial situation permits. However seeing as your roommate comes off as your main wingman in the statement you made about you two going out together all the time, maybe this issue is less about him and more about you setting boundaries. You mentioned he's performed a steal from you twice before so maybe if you communicate to him your intentions with these women you're interested in he'll back off. If not, well start apartment hu…

A little rapport goes a long way when it comes to becoming more than who we are in order to live a more fulfilling life and I'm so grateful for this site and people like you who encourage people to take steps to improve themselves!

To each his own guy. Everyone needs a place to start their journey of self-improvement. Nothing shameful in admitting you need help in providing perspective on something you yourself can't see due to having only one way of looking at a challenge.

Definitely something I need to preach to myself more often than not. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks again for all the insight and suggestions! I definitely see eye to eye with you in regards to having your shit together to mold yourself into a person people just gravitate towards due to an ingrained self belief and confidence in themselves which is then picked up by people from all walks of life, be it man or woman. When viewing myself as a great seducer I don't really picture myself being this guy who goes out every night just to score as many women possible. I just want to be a guy wh…

I guess as of now I kind of have selfishness internalized as too negative of a thing for me to feel alright with considering how many times I've seen doing for other people can make them feel as well as myself. Sometimes I feel as though I really have my head stuck up ass in regards to the world expecting me to always strive to keep their best interests at hand in whatever decision I make. To bring up an extreme, who would want someone to jump off a bridge for the sake of their own life? I sure …

Thanks for the advice! I'm already on the journey to achieve lasting health by working out at the gym 6 times a week. Shooting to lose a good 20-25 pounds in the next 3-4 months. Have always wanted to have six pack, as I grew up overweight and then resorted to unhealthy means to lose weight in my early adolescence. As for ironing out the rest of the imperfections I see in myself, I can only hope that with the 'want' and the 'hunger' to improve myself and my life situation I will find what makes …
