| 1 | Masked Protester Attacks Man At UofT April 4thit isn't a weapon, it's a stick So you wouldn't feel threatened if someone was screaming at you with a megaphone and waving a 4' long stick? I'm sorry, but I think the old guy was justified. He was a passerby, targeted by a feminist most likely because he was male. If I hit someone with a stick like that, I would most likely be charged with assault with a deadly weapon. | /r/MensRights | 08/04/13 03:14 PM |

Trying to slit someone's throat is not a DV Yes, it is when it's your domestic partner. Lets do a little exorcise in critical thinking here: Trying to slit your girlfriend's throat is not DV it's attempted murder. And again: Trying to slit your boyfriends throat is not DV its attempted murder See where I'm going with this? | /r/MensRights | 02/04/13 01:29 PM |

| 3 | A long StoryOk OP, you might think this is kind of harsh, but here are my thoughts: •STOP contacting her. Document everything you can- voicemails, emails, record phone calls. I believe your state is a one party consent state, and I'm not a lawyer, so check on that. •GET A LAWYER. If you want to be there for this baby, you have to. | 1 | GirlWritesWhat destroys feminists on DongleGateTori Amos: Not considered a feminist because she's not "cool", and mostly because there are no "feminist" quotes from her. She never mentioned iit. and has not- other than in her weird songs- quoted anything anywhere I have seen. If she is, she keeps it to herself, may very well be an egalitarian. However; Tori Amos did help found RAINN, but that's about the extent I can find of any activism. I think it's more likely that feminists just like her shitty music. I do not support them. I support hollerin' the fuck back. Dafuq does this even mean? I've re-read this like five times and it just says "no reals, only feels" | /r/MensRights | 23/03/13 05:49 AM |

This argument ended our friendship [facebook]Honestly, her whole end of it makes me feel pretty firmly that MR has it right. The whole time, she was just "plugging her ears" and attacking. How dare I question how feminism makes her feel? It's also a sign of a pretty sick mentality that she blames the first thread for her suicidal ideation, of which I am the cause, yet who gives a fuck about my feelings? | 1 | Got banned from feminism for asking what they would do if they had control of the government(xpost)My general feeling of the MR community seems less like a dictatorship than the feminist community; MRA's seem more open to logical discussion than hate-brigading. At first glance, it seemed that this sort of question directed at MR's "hey! Look! I got banned from r/feminism!", seems a bit like it would be designed to create those screenshots that SRSers did that caused rightsbot to come into existence. | /r/MensRights | 18/03/13 02:02 PM |
| 1 | Got banned from feminism for asking what they would do if they had control of the government(xpost)He said "dictator". The wording of the question, no matter where posted, looks like a "troll" question designed to trap people into saying they'd force people to conform to their own beliefs. I have no doubt that if it were posted here, it'd be taken down as an SRS troll post. He could have worded it differently, or added sub-text to elaborate his meaning, but as it sits, it looks trollish. | /r/MensRights | 18/03/13 01:54 PM |
| 2 | Men's Rights: Where's the community? Thanks for explaining! | 6 | SRS in real lifeI'm a woman. I wear makeup, I shave my legs. I got a nasty ingrown hair in my armpit from shaving when I was seventeen (r/wtf worthy) and it put me off shaving there once I recovered. I'm not a lesbian. I'm married, 3 kids. I would describe myself as a men's rights advocate, and humanist. Edit: Me | /r/MensRights | 18/03/13 03:47 AM |
| 3 | SRS in real lifeBecause its "gross"? So because I choose not to shave, I must be a feminist, lesbian or simply unhygienic? Gee. Does that apply to men as well? I mean, soap, water and deodorant works really well for 100% of the male population, and no one questions their ethics or sexual orientation because of it. Your argument seems to be one of personal preference rather than evidence. (Which is ok, as long as you say it's personal preference, and not because of sweeping, unfounded generalizations.) | /r/MensRights | 18/03/13 03:18 AM |

Isn't this what MRA's always complain about when trying to have discourse with feminists? To be clear, I'm not trying to tell you you're wrong, I would just like to hear your thoughts on why you feel this way- supporting evidence of why you feel women are treated differently in the cases of infanticide. | 3 | Regarding the posts about violence perpetrated by women...I don't see this as productive, or as advancing MR. I see it as almost rising to the level of cherry picking evidence. In none of your videos did there seem to be anything I would constitute as an MR issue, except that fathers generally did not seem to be involved. | 1 | Denver Mom Gets Arrested For Killing Her Son & THROWING HIM IN THI don't think that anyone here is under the impression that women are oppressed angels. To think that, you'd have to be completely unaware of cases like Casey Anthony, Lorena Bobbit, Andrea Yates and Susan Smith, just to name a few of the more well known. What I'm saying is- can you show how this affects MR either positively or adversely? I'm open to discussion, but blind "woman bashing" does nothing to uphold what we as MRA's are here to work towards; equality. | /r/MensRights | 25/02/13 03:34 PM |

| 2 | Why MRAs Should Be Pro-Choice: If only rape victims are allowed abortions, false accusations will skyrocket.are you saying you really only allow abortions because you're afraid that outlawing it might lead to additional restrictions on birth control? Perhaps I was not clear enough. I am pro-choice. I believe it is the individual's right to decide if they want to carry a child to term, be pregnant, etc. It is the Right to Choice that is important to me. If an action is okay, then it's okay. | 4 | Why MRAs Should Be Pro-Choice: If only rape victims are allowed abortions, false accusations will skyrocket.I always took "Pro-Choice" to mean exactly what it sounds like: the ability to choose abortion, adoption, birth control, tubal ligation, or keeping it. My fear is that they take it a step further after outlawing abortion, and attempt again at limiting access to birth control, and possibly outlawing that as well- and eventually leading to the prevention of family planning altogether. It may sound extreme now, but I don't think it's that outlandish. | /r/MensRights | 29/08/12 12:59 AM |

| 9 | IAmA former Rape Crisis Advocate who provided support to Male victims of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. I worked at one of only two centers nationally who provides shelter to male victims. AMA!I found during my advocacy that often times WHBW groups would belittle men seeking help who didn't know where else to go and found them first. This often made the men less likely to persue other types of help, and at times, our legal group would then be fighting against feminist WHBW groups who attemped to persue legal action against men who sought help, calling them the abusers/rapists. Have you had any experience with this? | /r/MensRights | 04/08/12 09:04 PM |

Sexual/domestic violence is not just a hetero crime, nor is it all man hurting women. | /r/MensRights | 04/08/12 08:53 PM |
| 15 | IAmA former Rape Crisis Advocate who provided support to Male victims of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. I worked at one of only two centers nationally who provides shelter to male victims. AMA!I would have to say that it's roughly 50/50. Male rape has got to be the most violent crime I could imagine. I have seen coersion with substances and threats of violence, I have seen penile mutilation, strangulation to induce erection, electrocution, sodomy and some other things that still give me nightmares. Female on male rape tends to be more violent, but hetero-male on homosexual male rape is the most life altering, as severance of the penis is common. | /r/MensRights | 04/08/12 08:51 PM |

I worked at one of only two centers nationally who provides shelter to male victims. AMA!Ok, I'll have to answer this one in parts- as I am a new poster, please let me know if I've forgotten to reply to something. First, we did not serve boys: anyone under 18 was referred to "Our House" an outreach center dedicated to CHINS cases, or children's cases. The men that we served, we offered male-run support groups, counciling, and many other support system with which I was not involved. I ran the Hotline and worked on the Law Project, where I worked directly under an attorney that would … | /r/MensRights | 04/08/12 08:48 PM |

I worked at one of only two centers nationally who provides shelter to male victims. AMA!Straight, gay, transgender: it didn't really matter. We served those that the domestic violence centers and rape centers wouldn't serve, as well as those that the LGBT community centers did not help. | /r/MensRights | 04/08/12 08:20 PM |
| 17 | IAmA former Rape Crisis Advocate who provided support to Male victims of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. I worked at one of only two centers nationally who provides shelter to male victims. AMA!A few of the cases I had seen, were men being slipped drugs: viagra among other substances, or having been coerced. The worst cases I had seen was where the other person had forcibly penetrated with objects such as lightbulbs or broom handles. I would have to say that from what I witnessed, rape on a man is much more violent, and has more seriously life-altering effects. | /r/MensRights | 04/08/12 08:18 PM |
| 15 | IAmA former Rape Crisis Advocate who provided support to Male victims of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. I worked at one of only two centers nationally who provides shelter to male victims. AMA!It would be a terrible shame if I wasn't able to help those men. Quite a lot of them came to the shelter recovering from terrible injuries inflicted on them by spouses, significant people in their lives, and were trying to get on their feet again. If by providing them with shelter, a free lawyer and help becoming independant was harming them, then I don't know what else to say. I'm sorry you feel that way. (I forgot to say before that I never, ever told a man that his masculinity was the problem… | /r/MensRights | 04/08/12 08:16 PM |
| 74 | Hey guys, woman here letting you know I support your rights. As a woman, I find myself getting pretty peeved when people disregard the men in my life as "less important". A prime example of this is when someone tells my husband "You'd better help her out! She's got a lot on her plate" as if he has nothing important going on, or has never experienced stress/illness/pain. I appreciate all men. | /r/MensRights | 04/08/12 08:12 PM |
| 8 | Suggesting women drink responsibly causes outrage from feminist groups. As a woman, I certainly know better than to drink to the point of blacking out. Of course I'm not going to tempt the fates by leaving a bag full of coin unattended in a room with people I don't know and expect everyone to be upstanding. Why would I say that it's unfair for someone to suggest I be responsible for my own personal safety? You might as well say that posters that advertise defense "anti rape" classes and mace/tasers as being evidence that it's a woman's fault that she got raped if sh… | /r/MensRights | 04/08/12 07:51 PM |
