Spot on. But this is not the subreddit for rational discussion. It’s an incel haven in this dump.

Glad to see this comment. Thought I entered the Twilight Zone with the level of misogynistic dumbassery in these comments.

It’s relaxing a bit for lawyers. Ties are pretty optional at big firms in Canada if you’re on the corporate side. And on Fridays, it’s not uncommon to see blazers and khakis. But clients expect us to be well dressed, and if you’re in court, you have to suit up. I like it. We do important, high value work and we charge of a lot of money to do it. Our dress code conveys success and confidence. Funny thing, we don’t even have a formal dress code. If you made it this far in your career, you’ve learn…

What about your relationship with this alleged gf who is in middle school? #hypocrisy

It was incorrect of him to use the word "should", but even using the correct phrasing doesn't really invalidate his point.

I'm not sure how it is in the States, but here in Canada I've been privy to seeing many Family Law cases and it does seem about 50/50 whenever both parents fight for custody. Historically, men didn't really fight for custody as often as women though. Glad that's changing, but it doesn't really represent an inherent bias in the system.

I'm referring to what is attainable for the average male. I should have clarified. The OP didn't say he was famous or had any intentions of becoming famous.

Very informative. Thank you. The cops will give you a warning if you're over 0.06. But there's a push to switch to a zero tolerance policy.

Uh huh. Just wondering since you referred to gaming people. Doesn't take much for a girl to game men. Just some skills to ensure they won't be clingy is you're looking for a one-night stand or to keep them in a relationship. I'd say it's easier for you guys when it comes to hetero relationships. Being a girl picking up girls must be hard though, I'd imagine.

It's why it's not all that rare to see stunning women with guys with pretty average or less than average looks. However, you'll almost never see a hot guy with some hideous chick. But good for you. Out of curiosity... are you gaming other women?

Based on a lot of evolutionary psychology studies and sexual selection studies women and men value different traits for attractiveness. Women value confidence, humour, charisma, financial security more than anything. A guy can increase his confidence, humour, charisma, and money with hard work. Looks are fairly low on the list. Men by and far value looks above everything else. So for a woman, make-up and exercise can make a difference, but are are heavily limited by genetics. It's unfortunate an…

Depends on how much you drank. In my province you have to be under 0.08, which is like, 1 drink per hour roughly they say. The I have been pulled over after having three drinks and my BAC was 0.01. So who knows.
/r/seduction26/02/12 12:58 AM

Well, if you are absolutely fucking hideous you're not going to get supermodels. That's the reality. I like to think you can get -2 to +2 within your number with consistent success. So if you're a 6 yourself then 4s to 8s are well within your consistent success range (which doesn't count you out of 8s and 9s entirely, just more difficult). Right now you sound like a zero. But unlike a women, a guy can go from a zero to a ten with a lot of hard work and dedication.

That's because you have probably been showering at different times your entire life. I agree though, quitting jerking off is much harder. But then again, for me I've quit masturbation, but only at times I was getting laid regularly (once every two to three days). It was still hard.
/r/seduction22/12/11 01:10 AM

It is incredibly difficult. It's like stopping any routine really. If you shower every morning for 7 years and then suddenly switch to showering in the evenings it will be very uncomfortable at first. Eventually, it gets okay though.

Great post. This was how my alcoholism started. As a crutch with women. Even when going out on dates I sneak in a few drinks beforehand just to loosen up. Been sober one month and loving it. My game has turned to shit, but it's nice learning these skills as a sober individual. Just getting a number sober now is far more of an accomplishment to me then a lay drunk. It means more when you can do something out of your own volition.
/r/seduction13/10/11 06:45 PM

Style says any 1-on-1 interaction with a woman you can consider a date (something I don't quite agree with). This sounds kind of friend zone-y, but I don't know enough details to make a judgement on that. Just have fun. Escalating may be hard in a breakfast situation (more casual, not quite as intimate). Make sure to set up for a second date where you'll have a better opportunity to push for more. This is assuming you want to get into her pants of course.

Confronting it directly is a bad idea in my experience and shows to them that it affects you. If there are multiple conversation threads running I typically just ignore it reallly. Don't let it phase you and never let yourself feel apologetic about your height.
/r/seduction20/09/11 02:17 PM

Women are more emotional than men, but as a species we are rational creatures. Arguments do happen, but that's not a particularly huge deal. It's the severity of the argument. Arguments that negatively impact a relationship can be avoided. Just never do anything you have to be sorry for. If you full well did something you needed to, never apologize for doing it. No matter how hard she guilts you.

An acquaintance of mine just went through this. Now they are exclusive and seem to be doing quite well. But for about four months he was the "Early Boyfriend" and didn't get sex, but basically did everything else for her. I know she has fucked other guys during this time, but I didn't have the heart to tell him since they weren't officially bf/gf and not explicitly exclusive apparently (even though he assumed they were). His fault really. Painful to watch and having gone through it before the fu…

Fair enough point. I agree with what you're saying. Never admitting you are wrong is better than placating and always apologizing though. I find you admit when you are wrong in a forthright manner, say how both parties made mistakes, and it's time to move on (then spin things in a positive direction). Avoid saying sorry unless you absolutely absolutely feel you have to (beta guys apologize for everything). I find argumentation is fairly easy to avoid if you are a fairly level-headed individual. …

Developing solid inner game? That's the entire point of Seddit. It's just a matter of extending that for extended period of time. If you can woo and excite girls you don't know. You can do with a girl that already loves you. Don't let it get boring. And if you're bored. Move on.
/r/seduction01/09/11 06:31 PM

You can for the most part apply a lot of the same principles. Be confident, spontaneous, sexual, and fun. In a LTR however this really has to be a part of your persona. You can fake it till you make it, use the booze boost, or simply get lucky to land yourself a kiss/date/fuck but if you want that beautiful, intelligent, and charming girl for the long haul your inner game has got to be air tight or you're in for a rocky road.
/r/seduction01/09/11 04:39 AM

Then you are by far not Seddit's greatest challenge yet. I've met guys in their 30's who have yet to hold a woman's hand.

Good job! It may not have came out ideally, but you tried and as long as you keep trying you have something to be proud of. Well-written and outlines your feelings at the time quite clearly. You are aware of the mistakes you are making and that's a good sign. As you get more accustomed to approaching, things like heart rate, stammering, nerves, shakes, and so on will slowly take care of themselves.
/r/seduction26/08/11 03:42 PM

Crass is not necessarily bad thing. You can't start blurting hcore sexual shit out of the blue. But slowly increase the sexual banter and eventually she just sees you as a sexual person. Like once a while I fire a text off randomly that says, "I want you so badly right now." Never have gotten a bad response. But, I always ensure I've built good rapport before hand.

I don't put up with that shit. You'd think if they were having a good enough time that phone would be in there fucking purse the whole time. But with hotter girls you still sometimes have to deal with that bullshit. It is rude, disrespectful, and I totally agree, it does dismiss the value of your time. One girl was so obnoxious with it I just didn't bother calling/back texting afterwards. If you're picking her up then I usually just say, "We're going to have a blast. So no distractions". I then …

When I was 16 I considered myself forever alone. So I can relate somewhat to what you're saying. PUA however, really changed my life in more ways than I can imagine. I'm 23 (started getting into it around 20). Your inner game is clearly not solid at all based on your inability to approach. Your theory of inner game may be solid based what you have read for 4 years. Or at least, that is what I'm thinking. You're like a guy he reads books on professional swimmers and tactics they use to compete in…

Exactly. There is a specific line of thought that r/mfa follows. It may be objectively the "best looking" by those in the know of the male fashion industry, but it doesn't necessarily translate into helping you pick up women. Wear whatever looks good to you and wear it with confidence. Just make sure it fits and is clean and you're good to go.

I like your idea. I ended up using it. I modified it a little though. "Hey listen, I'm fucking exhausted. Let's reschedule. How does xxxday sound?" Just so I'm not asking for her permission to reschedule.

I've checked out Etsy, for more down-to-earth hipstery earthy kind of girls it's great. Some chicks only wear shit from Tiffany and the like. And the day I buy something for a girl from Tiffany that I haven't been with for AT LEAST a year is the day hell freezes over.

I practice getting numbers when I'm out at the bar. I never call or text back though since I'm in a relationship. I don't tell her since she'll clearly be upset. But I don't have any intention of cheating. Just keeping the knife sharp. I need to practice being fun and flirty to prove I still go it.

I am the biggest hypocrite when it comes to jealousy. I don't expect girls to get mad when they see me with other chicks. But I get furious when I know they're with other guys. It's a horrible and mentally crippling emotion. I was in a rut where I expected exclusivity out of two women, and understandably, they expected the same. When they found out about eachother and my cheating ways it all blew up in my face. One of the biggest mistakes I've made. I'm working on overcoming it. I find it is the…

Simple's great. It's all you really need. I wrote this on a moment of self-reflection one day while traveling. I was just not content with certain aspects of my life and writing it down made it concrete, made it real to me, and really gave me motivation to change. It felt tangible and something I could conquer once it was written and in front of me.

It is. I was slow about it. I first got into shape. Cut from 200lbs. to 150lbs. in like four months. I was alot more content after that. And I would get a lot more looks from women. But my success rate was still the same. Zero. I thought getting into shape would bring me girls to me. Doesn't hurt, but there's a lot more to it. Then I started reading Seddit and other PUA stuff. Working on fashion. Doing good in school etc. Motivated myself and turned my life around. Even still, I know I have a lo…

It's been about 2 years since I started doing this. I've improved a lot (from having no social life, to having a great group of guy friends, to finally approaching girls, to making out with girls, to losing my viriginity, to scoring a few notches, to having a quasi-gf and a regular fuck buddy at this time in my life). However, it would be naive for me to attribute all of that to just this thing I wrote. It's the work that really makes the difference. Personally, I find it's just a great way to s…

I'm 5'8" and most girls I've been with are pretty close to me in height (a few of them have been taller, though I am not attracted to really tall girls). The odd time they might say a comment like, "You're shorter than you look!" or "I wish you were a little bit taller" or "I shouldn't wear heels, should I?". Never let it bother me. Move on like it doesn't matter. When you make it a good time, they forget about it. Small hurdle really.

Took me a while to not care. But the thought of worry about a ton of girls texting me back became wearisome. Let them text me back at their own pace. There is always another girl on the backburner anyway.

The first one always seems like the best one at the time. Go out and meet new girls. You'll find yourself surprised.
/r/seduction04/06/11 05:12 AM

Exactly. Women my age (22-23) respond well to texts and calling repeatedly is a huge turn off. Texts work better than voicemails in my opinion. You show you can't be bothered to call and make the effort. A text is more casual. Obviously, there is a time and place for calling. But I a girl I just met hasn't earned it.

A relationship is a different animal. You've already built the attraction. As long you keep things fresh and fun in person (and in the bedroom) any thing else you do is not necessarily as big a deal I find and a lot of the little rules you follow when gaming chicks for the first time don't necessarily matter as much anymore.
/r/seduction13/05/11 03:17 AM

I'm confused here. So you think this is actually a woman or something? Huh? Control your alcohol is my reasoning. If you drink and drive you did something incredibly stupid and alcohol is not an appropriate blame. Even if the OP had a few drinks himself he can be deemed intoxicated as well. If you plan on getting piss drunk to the point where you have sex with randoms, bring some friends you can trust with you.

Social anxiety can be defined as a medical condition. It's not synonymous with introversion. I've had better luck with women than some of my extremely extroverted friends. Some things are harder for introverts. Just as some things are harder for extroverts. Every guy wants to get better with women, being an introvert is something I embrace, and I don't see it being a hindrance in the slightest.
/r/seduction23/04/11 08:52 PM

Well, clearly there are worse things in life that happen. However, when you actually care about someone that basic betrayal of trust is quite rattling. A a relationship is an investment.

I agree. Co-dependence is an extreme scenario. Sometimes where she's not even "allowed" to go out on these girls night outs (my gf's ex-bf was extremely jealous, even when she spent time with her female friends and would threaten her closer male friends... He was also abusive, which I think is obvious from this type of behaviour, yet she did stay with him for five years... Out of fear towards the end from what I can gather). This is just anecdote, but my friends with good game are the guys that tend to cheat (repeatedly even, it's like once a cheater, always a cheater). If you're not particularly good at getting women, why would you jeopardize a relationship by cheating? It's the AFC boyfriends that have it worst. The PUA boyfriends don't need to worry about cheating. The abusive shitty asshole boyfriends also tend to create a grip on the woman, where she won't cheat. Seems like being abusive is better than being bo…

I know what you're going through man. If you can't fathom the thought of yanking her into the shower with you while her parents are upstairs, fingering her in the car while their may be people watching, or spontaneously going down on her when she gets from her work then you are slowly being transitioned into a glorified friend zone. Depending on the group of friends I'm with, some are huge downers when it comes to approaching chicks. Some of my best wingmen have been randoms who I've just run into that have the same single purpose as me. Good luck!

I text first about 75% percent of the time. As a man, I like to be the initiator. My texts are only to set up dates or meet-ups or a send a flirty/funny comment now and then. If attraction is high, on the days you don't text. She will.

The way he said it sounds pretty beta. "Wait!... Can I add you on FB?" just screams supplication. If he built a little more attraction (she already found him physically attractive) he could have just said, "I'll talk to you later. Give me your Facebook info." I'm sure that would have worked much more in his favour.

Exactly. Just because you don't like the truth doesn't mean it isn't the truth. I was getting frustrated, I think I kept my responses reasonable and broke down her arguments. She was the one that stopped responding, not me. I'm sure that shows something.

I completely agree. It's sad though. It's like a group of alcoholics getting together and drinking, it's okay if you are amongst like minded people. It doesn't mean that improvement isn't necessary. From the Science subreddit post of this I got into an argument preaching confidence and charisma in men (and not being creepy) and was getting absolutely attacked and downvoted. Interesting, but not what I expected.

So you would have to be pretty fucking good to sway her to do something like that. Still, alcohol for example, can make chicks do stupid things regardless of your game. Still hurts. I try to avoid being destroying to developed relationships. Then again, there's also the fact that her relationship clearly didn't mean much to her. You did nothing wrong. Stories like this are always reminder to me to never forget to maintain attraction in LTRs. Just cause of shit like this.

You really do have to redefine the relationship. It's easier said than done though and for the most part, no girl is worth the effort. It's easier with a clean slate and there are tons of high quality women out there.

Great post. Powerfully motivating. Keeping it on my phone whenever I feel particularly shaken by a bad experience. Read this and then remember. It doesn't matter, there is no such thing as a bad experience. It's just an experience. Learn from it.

Good for the OP! But throe_aweigh makes a good point, there is really nothing in here relevant to seduction.

One weird night I was the lame guy. Two of us were wheeling the same chick, she ended up making out with him. Later I stepped up my game and then she ended up making out with me (this all occurred within the same night). Wasn't sure how to proceed after that...

I completely agree. I've made the mistake of talking to a girl and hour or so on the phone. You can have good conversation, but honestly, you can't escalate (maybe phone sex, but I've never done that outside of an LTR). If you want to chat on the phone. Always be the one to end the call. If the conversation starts to wane, say you gotta go, have to meet a friend somewhere for example. That way she knows you have shit to do and your life doesn't revolve around her. And then quickly set up a meeti…

For some reason a lot guys take that to be a supplicating, needy, emotionally dependent, behaviourally unattractive individual. Be your best self.

Though I was being sarcastic (I wouldn't quite classify AXE as cologne) I find those spray on deodorants, when used in less than moderate amounts, don't actually smell too bad.

AXE. LOTS OF AXE. Edit: /sarcasm. Hence, the use of caps lock and bold.

I just say come to the bar one night with some of my friends or something. It never hurts to expand your social circle. Keep them as friends if you find they're genuinely interesting people.

Exactly. If you think highly of yourself, others will see your value. That's all that it takes. No one wants all your emotional baggage. Walk around with your head up high and be the best person you can be. What others think/say is irrelevant. Haters just wish they could be like you. Don't give a a fuck. Plain and simple.

I used to always have a few drinks with a girl just to lighten the mood before a close. Made it easier for me to close, but fuck, whiskey dick always hit me hard haha. Makes me last longer if I can actually get it up, but that's the problem. I used to take vasodilators when I was heavy into working out, they're like a light viagara to be honest ha. Superpump 250 and N.O. Explode were the popular ones at the time. Not dangerous, loaded with stimulants, and definitely help get the blood flowing. W…

I agree entirely with you and know exactly where you are coming from. I think a lot people here would understand and agree as well. You're not especially emotional or anything, but for people who have trouble with women these are quite common themes. Most importantly, have fun learning and trying. Appreciate and learn from your mistakes. Most importantly, keep your head up high and be proud as you cultivate your best self.

You do the best that you can and she'll follow. No two girls are the same. Quality girls always get hit on by guys, nothing you can do about it. Be glad you have a quality woman.

One time as a joke me and buddy brought Scrabble to a dingy pub/bar where all these hot hipster girls hang out. Oddly, ended up a lot of fun. It has since became a weekly thing over there with Cranium nights and Monopoly tables set up. I tried playing Scrabble 1-on-1 with my girlfriend, can't say it was a huge attraction builder. But there a lot of jokes and stupid words you can make up. Just try random shit. What I find if it doesn't help, it at least never hurts. You only learn when you try.

I second this question. Sometimes at nicer department stores, they are being paid to be friendly so IOIs don't necessarily mean the same thing over here. And you don't want intrude on someone who actually has to work. I'd been interested in hearing more experienced thoughts.

Depressing thread there, but I doubt anyone here wants to seek out lonely men and train them. The initial admitting is only half the first step, you have to be willing and open to do something about it. All those people seemed resigned to their fate. I've been in some bad shit, during bad times, and bad places. If I resigned myself to that fate... I don't even want to think what I could have become.

Quick question: Say you say, "Bunch of us going for drinks Friday." And she agrees to come out, but you actually didn't know anyone going for drinks Friday. If its end up being just you two, makes you kind of look like a loser considering it looks like all your friends bailed.

I completely understand what you're saying, great post. I feel like a live a dual-life sometimes. I like to study, read, draw, build computers, and the like. Things that I do by myself, but I find quite enjoyable. On the weekends and some evenings I party hard and meet as many new people as possible. The latter I do enjoy, but if I do it too often and neglect my "other side" (feel like Dr. Jekyll over here) it's draining and I feel my life loses a little value. My current girlfriend knows me wel…

Tried signing up for eHarmony once, said the system couldn't match someone with me based on my personality profile ha! (But it's based around marriage and shit, not my thing anyway). It does get rid of the initial hurdle in meeting girls, which for most is the hardest part. Definitely worth a try if you're interested. I would still keep trying to meet girls in real situations though.

I've seen girls that look hot with larger than 00G sizes (but that's my opinion). It really depends if it suits her face. For guys, I think anything higher than a 00G just doesn't look that good. It's all purely subjective though. I would go to 00G, but I plan on entering a professional program next year and for the interview I need to gauge down. So I'm scared to go for anything larger than 0G ha. Can't wait to get to 0G though, been 1 month since I've had 2G. Probably wait another 4-6 weeks.

I think they look cool, but I also have tattoos and stuff. Nothing crazy though, I think most girls find a little body mod attractive. I think anything more than 00g is a little too big for my tastes. I'm at 2G and will probably stop at 0G.

I have a friend who frequently has more than one girl going at a time (they are unaware of each other) and despite being fairly good with women, in his glorious idiocy added them all on Facebook. Suffice to say, a few relationships imploded and soon fizzled in short time. Also to note, when I go out drinking with my buddies sometimes we get a little out of hand and those notorious beer goggles kick in. I get a couple numbers but can't remember which girl was which in the morning or if she was ev…

I see your point. Gary Brodsky (Total Confidence) is one PUA who says that, not saying I necessarily agree. I have had good female friends, but all my true, lifelong friends, up to this point in my life have been guys. Neither wrong nor right, just the way it has been for me. I've asked my girlfriend this before. Ask any of your guy friends if they would want to have sex right now, how many would say yes? We ended up coming to the conclusion, that ultimately, only the ones that were gay or alrea…

Key thing is, don't be an awkward ass if it doesn't work out. It may or it may not, none of us know the particulars of the situation here. I've never had best friends who were female. My guy friends are my life buddies, but I've never felt that way about a chick as a friend. But saying that, if I would ever want to get closer to a chick who was a friend I would disengage for a week or two. Don't do things like a friend would do for a bit. Then re-approach.
/r/seduction17/11/10 06:36 AM

Very interesting comment. There are a few PUAs out there who stand by the philosophy, "A girl you have as a friend is a girl you failed to f---." None of my friendships with females have been as meaningful or important to me as my guy friends, but that's just anecdote. Not sure if it pans out the same way for others.

I suppose. The way I viewed the show, he releases all of his AFC tendencies in private (the charade of a life he's lived and so on). But in the presence of others, the persona he's created is near infallible.

True enough. I was referencing being your 'Best self' (as Style says) versus being you know, the nice AFC or whatever.

No, I completely agree. If reality followed script, nice guys wouldn't finish last, being yourself actually meant something, and things would conveniently work out for the best. Mad Men is an exception for me at least, the mannerisms presented by the male characters I think is something worth striving to emulate. But then again, you're right, it's script. See what works in reality, not on tv. Take it with a grain of salt.

Ha whoops! Didn't read the original post carefully enough I suppose. Disregard my comment (but watching some good, well-acted, well-scripted, alpha-males in action never hurt any aspiring PUAs!).

Hey! Have a good time and focus on the hot girls in general. You hear this all the time, and I hate repeating it, but never let yourself get hung up on that one girl. Just wheel her like you would any other broad, act like that last time never happened. If you do it well, and be positive it well, then you'll get her. Worst case scenario, there will be a ton of other attractive girls around. If your game's on, then well, you're good to go.
/r/seduction17/11/10 02:57 AM
1

Exactly. He doesn't know if she actually does have a boyfriend, it's hard to gauge from his post. We don't know the girl. If a girl is willing to see other guys if she has a boyfriend, I normally don't put much stock in their relationship. Fun can be had, but if she actually does have a boyfriend, I wouldn't keep her around for anything long term. Just see how it goes, and keep us posted. Edit: Grammatical stuff, nothing relevant.

I'm currently dealing with this exact same scenario. My plan with a girl I'm seeing this weekend is just bring her back to my house late... (like past 1 am, when everyone's asleep anyway). Odds are, she won't ask if my parents are around and if they are, who cares! Obviously, this depends on your parents, but if the mood is right it won't matter. Drive her back early or boot her (I prefer not to be an asshole, but I don't judge ha).

First post here (been lurking for a while, decided to finally join in)! I've encountered this a few times before. True, depressing topics are an attraction killer, but ignoring them and trying to change the subject can be quite hurtful if not done tactfully and will end up being a worse attraction killer. I don't encounter this very often in short-term shit/flings and the like, but they are par for the course in long term relationships. Just listen, make small reassuring comments when appropriat…
