But you are only hearing one side of a story. She agreed to meet from OkCupid, they had talked online about hooking up, she agreed to go back to his place in the middle of the day and started making out, she took off her clothes on her own, and she reciprocated sex. I could see how the guy was getting quite a few signals that she wanted to have sex. Even the OP said she didn't think it was rape, but when 20 2XCers tell her she was wrong and it was rape she'll slowly change her mind, change her s…

Woman posts that she met a guy on OkCupid, agreed to go back to his place after physical affection, agreed to have sex, never verbally said no, but because she said she only had 15min or so and bc she was not "wet" he should have known she wasn't really into it and it is rape.

It was an official statement that was recorded and separately witnessed and the officer instructed the woman about the consequences of giving a false statement. The woman also wasted several hours of officers' time. She definitely could have been charged with filing a false police report, but that would discourage people like her coming forward and crying wolf. Oh BTW she confessed to assaulting him with a wine glass and drinking/doing drugs in front of her kids and nothing was done about either…

Can I get an ELI5 on this? Why is the gov forcing a circumcision? Are they claiming a medical reason or something else? Plenty of people don't get circumcised, why does she have to have her son do it?

Why should you t exclude race but include gender? What if there is a high correlation that Asians cost more or blacks or whites...or left handed people? Why are some actuarial facts allowed but others aren't?

They have already been promoting minorities that didn't pass the academic test for years (remember that lawsuit a year ago)? Plus, look at all of the older fire fighters that no longer could pass the physical test either. City either lets women that can't pass the standards in or pays out millions in discrimination lawsuits against women and minorities. She already got a break by being too old to join. Next up she'll sue when she finds out she makes less money than another person in her precinct…

No, you get frisked by who you get frisked by. Just think it is interesting that there's the different gender treatment.

I want to see naked men but I do not want men to see me naked Your preferences are duly noted haha. :)

Similar to when I travel overseas like to China and have to go through airport security. Both men and women can frisk me / examine me as a male, but only women are allowed to frisk other women. I guess the male agents cannot be trusted with women even though it is in public, but women can be trusted.

Edit : Apparently I was not banned, just my comments were censored and deleted. Your comments was generalizing genders. A lot of other comments following yours were also removed. If you see comments of the sort, feel free to report them and we'll look into them. We do miss some once in a while. I hope that explains it.

While you all are glad she actually was charged (as am I), does anyone find it a little disconcerting that they published the rape victim's full name? What about rape shield laws and media not publishing female accuser's names? Plus, the article comments are horrible - blaming the victim, needing to turn in his man card, he's probably gay, etc.

Yeah question was somewhat rhetorical, I don't believe the 1 in 4 or 5 statistic. But would be interesting to apply that with calculations to show that 1 of 4 males is a rapist, every day on campus x number of rapes happen, and to sustain a 1 in 4 number a woman on average is raped x number of times each semester to show just how unrealistic the rape culture hysteria is.

So why propagate all of the "every male student is capable of rape" crap which just goes to advance victim blaming and does nothing to prevent rape or protect women? Silly.

This study was just 40 people at a university in Winchester, UK. I would say the results would have been completely different if done in the US unfortunately.

Why not confront the HR lady and say something directly to her first? Why be all passive aggressive about it, especially if you are not actually offended?

Having it separated as "shat terd" at the site title probably was not a wise choice.

Reminds me of the morning show when the female host rips the dude from the Community's shirt off on the air and then asks for an apology when she feigns being offended later in the segment.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion on this subreddit, and maybe it is b/c I skipped to the wrong parts of the video, but both parents seemed to be putting the kid in the middle. Yes, the mother was manipulative and acting nice b/c of the camera, but the father seemed like the stereotypical hate cops, hate the government, likes pot, tells son how evil women are type of guy, and of course the teenage son would want to hang out with his cool dad. Of course, it sounds like the mother badmouths…

If he waits until not hired to go to the labor board, how can he prove they indeed said that? You'd think there are a lot of complaints to the board with disgruntled people who just didn't get hired.

I don't even know what a brigader is. I just feel like posting a selfie picture on Facebook for all of your social network to see is a cry for attention. Now the custody bias issue is certainly a men's rights issue, but the internet thinking got was an attempt for attention isn't. If a woman posted a picture of herself upset b/c her husband is a dirty dog cheat or didn't pay his alimony/child support, most here would think an online public social network was not the appropriate forum...same goes…

Pick your battles. Does letting women shove office treats down their gullet a couple min before you do or letting women onto an elevator first really affect your life? Not worth alienating your other employees or getting fired. Doesn't sound like an actual toxic workplace environment to me. Bring food in and hand it out equitably - no reason to do a men first retaliation.

Yes but female and minority experience = better performing teams, that is why boards should be replaced with women. The gold ol boys network may be in place, but the regular minions like me are not benefitting from it - I have no diversity counselor, gender mentor, or diversity clubs I can join at work, and when you hire in women with less experience than me at my level or above, it equates to less chance of promotion for me and probably having to pick up the slack for under performers that were…

Regardless of this entire bounty hunter/assault "grey area" thing or them being women, the family should press charges for them entering a private residence and audio/video recording without thwir permission which breaks wiretapping laws. Hope the guy's lawyer goes after that angle and not just the vision impairment thing.

I have nothing against homosexuals or transgendered, just think that intellectually this is an interesting issue. The argument that a woman's body is sacred is interesting when it is actually a man. Same with that male boxer that is post-op and wants to fight women. It is "empowering" when a woman wants to play on a man's team, but what about the reverse? A 200lb+ large frame male would decimate female boxers with smaller frames.

There's nothing wrong with the video, I think it is funny. Just curious that an ad for women features scantily clad members of the opposite sex selling sex. If it was an ad with female models soaping themselves to remind guys to check for testicular cancer, you would hear the familiar "demeaning to women, what about female health issues, girls that see this wont be able to live up to the unhealthy body image portrayed, etc. BTw, can't men get breast cancer as well?

If I put that exact flyer out in my town, I'd get a couple of feminist protestors, a few gay guys thinking it was for a group orgy, and maybe one extremely confused men's rights activist

The whole reason this happened is the mother is on welfare assistance and the child has high medical bills.

I don't see this one totally as a men's rights issue. The state is going after him for money b/c all he has is an unenforceable contract and the women are supporting him. Well, they could have just not given up the father's name, but they are on welfare and the kid had medical bills. If he had used a licensed doctor for the insemination(as the law states), he would be in the clear, but they either inseminated the sperm themselves or he had sex with the one woman. He should have protected himself…

I don't get the OP - there already IS a #realmenwant and reading through the #realwomenwant there are actually pretty good responses. Women wanting... someone to love them, flaws and all respect same thing real men want etc...

Yeah, essentially saying affinity groups are needed but still cannot overcome the exclusion from the white male imaginary affinity group. I honestly feel like there are very few opportunities for me to connect with leaders in the office. They are so busy with diversity mentorships and recruiting certain genders or ethnicities or special interest groups that boring old white male me is sort of lost in the sea of other white men at work. Does some discrimination possibly exist at my work? Maybe th…

A coworker ironically forwarded this out to her email distribution of "lady lunches", a group of females only (and only if they are in her clique) that she takes for free lunch to chat about how hard it is to be a woman in the workplace and be excluded by men.
