Protein needs, in a Red Pill dietI've been trying to get my meal costs down - I cook almost all my own meals, but my food budget is still higher than I'd like. Any chance you could share some tips? | /r/TheRedPill | 22/01/15 08:46 PM
Ayn Rand and ObjectivismI don't disagree. Rand's philosophy is utopian (like most philosophy of a socio-economic nature) and impractical for real world application, however, her views on masculinity are relevant enough to RP discussion that The Book of Pook explicitly references her work. My argument here is that by dismissing something out-of-hand due to pre-conceived notions is never beneficial. Essentially, I'm espousing the idea that you should understand both sides of a subject before criticizing or supporting it. | /r/TheRedPill | 12/01/15 06:46 PM
Ayn Rand and ObjectivismI framed the Hitler reference as a general comment, but the specific reference was to the user above you. (getomc) | /r/TheRedPill | 12/01/15 03:06 AM
Ayn Rand and ObjectivismYes, but you fail to account for the fact that someone has to pick up the rotting corpses once they start to get in the way. Unfortunately, advancement beyond... well, any human advancement (we are tribal after all) depends on social constructs. Most people aren't okay with just letting the less useful (or completely useless) die and rot. And, unfortunately, people are the necessary evil of any society. And some form of society has existed throughout the bulk of human history because it is neces… | /r/TheRedPill | 11/01/15 08:42 PM
Ayn Rand and ObjectivismI appreciate your reply. Unfortunately, men being forced into 'slavery' (in quotes because they're not actually slaves in most circumstances) is necessary in society. No matter the system, no matter the ranking basis, there will always be a top and a bottom. Some will have more than others. Some will 'rule' over others. The most relevant example is to this forum is the classic 80/20 reference. Those who practice RP need that 80 percent to exist, in order to provide contrast to the 20 percent the… | /r/TheRedPill | 11/01/15 08:27 PM
Ayn Rand and ObjectivismI must say, I'm disappointed with what I'm reading in the comments. Not that I'm particularly impressed with the OP either. I question whether some of you have actually read into objectivist theory. To hit a few points in the OP: Your second paragraph is a mis-understanding at best. Nowhere in my readings of Ayn Rand's work does she suggest any form of technological regression. She was actually a fan of technology, seeing it as the ever reaching pinnacle of mankind's achievements. Your second pa… | /r/TheRedPill | 11/01/15 07:42 PM
