Dating apps are bad use of energy. Direct that energy into hobbies, social circle and things that make your life better. Apps are full of unhealthy and unserious people

The thing is your monkey brain does not distinguish between stripper and regular women. So I agree talking to them is perfectly fine practice, learning to feel calm around women. Just dont get addicted to it or blow much money. And they are still people at the end of the day.

I think if you learn to read body language that's all you need. The best way is to always look at their eyes. They don't lie. The other one is honestly if they start finding ways to rub their boobs on you. Sounds ridiculous but it happens to me almost every time.

I don't agree. I think democracy is a bad way to run society. That was the idea behind having a constitution and limited government. One of the problems is rational ignorance. Each vote has so little impact but it takes a lot of time to become informed so most people don't have the incentive to become an informed voter. Most people aren't qualified to have opinions on foreign policy, taxes, the economy and on and on. For both those reasons democracy doesn't work very well.

I feel like they create their own problems by pushing their values and getting rid of traditional values. Instead of realizing they're the problem, they project and blame men and traditional values.

A psychologist I follow argues that both feminism and red pill are avoidant attachment. The independence checks out. She doesn't trust other people especially men to treat her fairly. I'm dating a women who is very feminist and avoidant. I don't expect a relationship from her, I just see her as someone to hang out with occasionally. Usually it means a parent or other person treated them poorly and as a survival mechanism they learned to be very independent instead of relying on a father or boyfr…

I think guys tend to overestimate how much looking at them bothers them. If you stare at their ass yes they will get mad but not all of them. Check women out sometimes if you do it right in a non-threatening way they like the attention. A lot of the complaining about these things is a covert way to brag about all the attention they're getting. Look at actions not words, and their actions are to wear revealing clothes. Their words match what they think people want to hear. Women do this constantl…

I think mild patriarchy is a good thing. I understand how it could go too far. But I think in a healthy household the man focuses on work and the woman on childcare. I think the man has a little more power since he earns most of the money. I think it creates stability. That's not to say there can't be exceptions, but I think this is best for most people. I think our society needs more patriarchy. I think it's driven by biological needs while they think it's social conditioning. I think men lead …

So how would you explain the difference? Plenty of men learn politics from their mother or feel social pressure from women to vote they way they do and vica versa. Also men can have more feminine thought processes and vica versa, overlapping normal distributions. Often it's the most clueless people that are most confident in themselves.
/r/MensRights06/05/24 09:44 PM

Yeah I agree that more feminine men vote left wing. The left vs right brain spectrum. Maybe it's bigger than men vs women but more about how feminine or masculine a person's thought processes are. The male archetype vs the female archetype.

That may be true but do they hold themselves to the same standard? From what I've heard women are more likely to avoid building hierarchies among themselves and more likely to enforce equality.

I suspect you made your goal to be getting laid rather than a girlfriend. If your goal is to be some kind of Casanova that sleeps with every girl then yeah you probably don't have the right personality but if your goal is a girlfriend then there's probably someone out there for you.

Pulling girls in general isn't something to be proud of what matters is forming a healthy relationship. It sounds kinda cool when your twenty but as an adult you realize it isn't that hard to do not does it lead to anything of substance. It's a lot easier to find someone hot than it isn't find someone with chemistry, that's responsible, that's also attractive etc etc.

I think women with feminist views attract men that are trash. So then they blame people that don't have feminists views. It's projection, easier than looking within. If you put out on the first date, you're going to find yourself dealing with a lot of men with bad intentions.

Left brain (logic) versus right brain (emotion) thinking. Socializing uses the right brain. Thinking analytically may give you correct answers but it puts you in the wrong mindset for connecting with people.

I agree with you. I think the root problem is pride. It is not good enough to simply be a woman. They have to be a man too. They turn themselves into men. As a result they seek a weak, desperate man they can boss around. The only way out is to find one of the women that gets it, or tell them to get lost. Then they gaslight you and tell you it's only about equality, it's only about education, when no one thinks they shouldn't educate themselves or make the most of life. They think they are domina…

I wonder if it's the fact that you are thinking that you are marrying down when really women are competing in a different game. If I could choose between a wife that is a workaholic versus someone who would do every chore around the house, always be available and homeschools the kids I would probably take the latter. That way you only have to focus on work and everything else is taken care of. Quality of life is more than the amount of money you're making. They might still work at some point but…

I think it's because they project their mommy instincts on to the world. Within the family unit it makes sense that you want equity between your children, you want censorship so the children don't hear things they aren't ready for, you want to teach them not to have racist biases. It's an expression of femininity. Men on the other hand expect to be rewarded based on the amount they contribute, they value competition, they don't want censorship we want adventure and to experience the world as it …

I think society favors women because it's good for the people in power. Men are less agreeable, more skeptical and more likely to hold them accountable. These lemmings are doing the bidding of the corporate-government Borg. Odds are this child will be the opposite of a ruler, she'll be another slavish lemming.

It could be something called avoidant attachment. Something went wrong in their childhood so that they cannot trust and be vulnerable with other people. They don't believe that other people can cooperate with them in good faith. As it gets more extreme it becomes narcissist personality disorder. They only feel safe if they can hold people at a distance and manipulate them as an object in their environment. This describes feminists pretty well. They don't trust men so they hold them at a distance…

I think for me when it comes to politics it all depends on how important it is to them. If they aren't very political then I wouldn't let that get in the way of a good relationship, but if it's a big part of their life then it could be a problem. I think most women are left wing because they are projecting their mothering instincts on to the world, it is natural for them. I think what matters most are actions, how they treat me, not what they say.

I think it exists in the sense that men are naturally leaders and are more likely to work outside the home. But the idea men are working together to oppress women is silly. I think women are masters of what happens inside the family unit and men are masters of what happens outside the family. We evolved to be hunter-gatherer. I don't agree with a lot of the answers here. I think the solution is to not talk about such topics, but connect with them on the interests you share in common. Once you build a strong enough relationship with them you may reach a point where you can talk about controversial topics even if you don't agree with them. I think it’s the mothering instinct. They want to create a safe space free from controversial ideas. They see people as children that need various rules to keep them safe. These instincts make sense within the family unit, but not outside of it. Applied to the outside world they result in an authoritarian society.

I agree with your post. I think the actual difference between men and women is the effort required. Women just have to show up to a bar, party etc. Men have to approach, make the plans, etc. I think this is a reason more women initiate divorce, it’s less effort for them to find someone new.

I wonder if you have a lack of meaningful relationships in your life. The only relationships you have are transactional or even exploitive. You’re lonely and lacking validation and you’re using sex to fill that void.

I think another type of feminist you don’t mention in your post is the one that gets laid but can’t get a relationship. They make poor choices with men, making themselves undateable but rather than accept personal responsibility they blame men. They don’t have any boundaries with men but then wonder why they attract jerks.

A psychologist I follow claims we can become obsessive over someone if we are not getting enough feel good chemicals when we connect with friends and family. Not having close family relationships makes us vulnerable to obsessing over someone because we think we finally found a way to get those good feelings. Maybe you are using this person as a replacement for close relationships with friends and family?
/r/seduction21/10/22 03:04 AM

Perhaps emotionally stable men are more likely to find a healthy relationship and compromise looks to be with a stable partner. Unhealthy men are jumping from partner to partner trying to fill a void. Perhaps the need to get with lots of women is a sign of insecurity. Same with ignoring red flags in order to have a hot girlfriend. I also wonder if women that are very attractive have trouble with relationships since they’re traumatized from men constantly trying to get with them.
/r/seduction19/10/22 06:05 PM

Honestly I think a large proportion of women simply aren’t worth it. They string you along, play games and at the end of the day aren’t actually interested in commitment even if they say they are. I think the only solution is to be social, build up a large network and be willing to filter out women that don’t treat you well even if it’s hard because they are attractive.

It’s okay to have female friends. I think it’s very toxic to want to sleep with all of your female friends. Maybe ask yourself why you feel the need to do this? Is it insecurity? If you don’t see her as a romantic partner then maybe it’s good to have some healthy boundaries. Female friends are underrated, they do so much to improve your confidence and prepare you for a relationship.

I think it goes both ways. The women lie and manipulate the men to get money. In many cases they steal or never give anything of value. The women also get mistreated and emotionally damaged by the men. Both sides are trading long term health for short term gain.

I think it’s the same with male friends. There are those rare people you find a connection with and can effortlessly spend hours with them. Except with girls the sexual dynamic makes it even better. I think we should pursue our own happiness. What that does is filter out toxic women. It means accepting that being single is better than being tied up with a toxic person. It means discipline, not being mastered by our bodily urges or societal expectations.

I think it depends on your attitude towards dating. If you’re coming from a position of desperation no it isn’t worth it. Women will take advantage of you. The people I know in real life who say they don’t have a girlfriend because they are not attractive enough are people who have something wrong with their personality. I wouldn’t recommend cold approach. It has a very low success rate and is geared towards extroverts. I would recommend you do it just to develop a baseline of social skills and confidence. Make it your goal to be friends with as many girls as possible. Do a hobby that forces you to interact with girls. I do salsa dancing and now all I do is talk to girls. Look at every interaction as training. Of the girls that are your friends figure out which one likes you the most and make her your girlfriend. Don’t push hard for a relationship, just hang out and have fun. Sooner or later they’ll pursue you.

I think all the things you do to get a relationship are things you should be doing for yourself anyway. Stuff like staying healthy, doing hobbies, building a lifestyle that lets you meet new people. If you are doing those things you’ll be happy whether or not you have a relationship. You have to have the strength to say no to women that play games and try to control you, no matter how hot they are. You are better off without them.

Yeah I agree. I think all the things you should do to attract a women are things you should do for yourself. Stuff like staying healthy, doing hobbies that let you consistently meet new people. If you are the one taking initiative and paying then act like it, don’t let them tell you what to do. No matter how hot they are if they start drama or play games, goodbye, they are not worth it. These are lessons men have to learn after being jerked around and manipulated. Make friends with them first, w…

I feel like I actually do best attracting women when we are friends for extended period of time. I think this is part of the reason why I hate OLD. It all seems very superficial. I can see how it works for some types but I enjoy getting to know them and joking around with them rather than selling myself to a stranger on an hour date. Honestly at this point if they play games I just let them go. Ironically that probably makes them more attracted.

I guess I can only speak from my own experience. I’ve had success meeting girls playing coed soccer and going to salsa clubs. But just brainstorming I can think of the following: There’s church. Many have Sunday school classes aimed at young singles. I’ve never done this but some people join hiking groups. There’s co-ed sports like volleyball, softball, ultimate frisbee, tennis. You could play a musical instrument in a band or take lessons. You could join a choir. You could perform at bars etc. …

I think the best thing to do is to have 2-3 social hobbies that give you the opportunity to meet people and build up a social network. I think to get the most out of life you should be doing this anyway, so you’re not just doing it to meet women though that’s a legitimate consideration. For me my favorite is salsa dancing. I’ve had many women initiate interest in me that I’ve met from salsa and they tend to be in shape and athletic given the nature of the hobby. Another benefit is you can vet pe…

Personally I don’t think a relationship like that is fair to the younger person. Instead of getting to spend years with someone who is in their prime they are with someone who is aging. Also usually there is a significant gap in emotional maturity which implies the older person is dating them for physical not emotional reasons. I don’t think it’s abnormal for the man to be older but anything more than maybe 5-7 years starts to be too much. There are plenty of fish in the sea why not pick someone…

I think it’s more important to have fulfilling relationships. Sex alone won’t make someone happy, it should complement an intimate relationship. If you just want the physical sensation better to just rub one out. I think most people learn this eventually.

Sounds like you need to get out and meet new people. High school was a terrible time for me but college was great. Turns out I just needed a bigger place where I could find my type of people. Reflect on what you could improve socially and try and find a new bubble to be a part of. Usually hobby groups are the best place to start. If these girls are dating these crappy people maybe they aren’t so great after all. The best thing is develop a lifestyle where you are meeting lots of new women. Get r…

I feel like it’s the most important indicator. It’s not important what they say but the body language and eye contact gives it away. The key then is to pay attention to those things.

I knew a woman that did this and it was seductive, eye contact is a signal of interest. I notice that the amount of eye contact I give a girl is correlated with my attraction, unless my social anxiety is causing me to push them away. So I don’t think it’s a question of whether eye contact is seductive but a question of how much eye contact they’re giving you.

I have female friends that I talk to in group chats and in person but I get the impression one-on-one texts are crossing boundaries when you are only friends. I don't really buy into this. I think men experience this when they limit themselves to online dating. Perhaps in the case of women that are only looking for sex, well they might as well have sex with the top 1% of men. If you are actually looking for a relationship and are meeting women by building up a social network (rather than wasting time validating women on Tinder that aren't actually interested) it's a level playing field, it's just a lot more work for men than it is for women.

I am very introverted and sometimes I attract very extroverted women. Extroverts like to "adopt" introverts. They'll see connecting with an introvert as a social challenge to be overcome. Then they'll introduce you to all their friends since in their eyes this is the best gift they can give you and also because they like the process of connecting people. For example I’ve had women try to get me to go with them to a bar after a group activity, start touching me, drop hints etc. Women are emotional creatures and when they like you they can’t hold it in, they have to let it out. Maybe the disagreement comes from having a different goal in mind. If it’s just to bang, then making those kind of changes will probably bring results or improve your numbers. I think it’s better to get off the apps. Do hobbies and build up a social life. I spend my time playing soccer and going to salsa parties. Focus on having fun and meet girls in the process. Make lots of friends with them and if you are actually a good match for each other it’s easy to escalate it to a romantic relationship. That’s my attitude these days. Flipping through endless profiles is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Time spent flipping is time I could spend learning new skills and…

In my city there is a large community of people who go salsa dancing. You can meet girls by taking lessons or by going to salsa parties (“socials”). DJs host events at different venues like parks, bars and nightclubs. Maybe there’s something like that where you live.

Honestly as a guy I’m starting to feel the same way. It’s a great feeling when you connect with a woman on the dance floor and then you know you’ll always have an activity you can do together.

I reached a similar conclusion. I have taken up salsa dancing as a way to meet women and it’s way more fun and better for my self-esteem. I think OLD is usually a waste of time or a last resort. There’s no shortcut to success.

I think it depends on what your goal is. If it’s hook ups then it’s not the best given the community is only so big after awhile and there isn’t a lot of anonymity. But this is also a strength if your goal is to find a girlfriend since you’ll meet the same people repeatedly. What helped me a lot is joining a class which made it easier to get to know people and be plugged into the community. The people in my class have been organizing social activities outside of salsa parties. I’d agree it’s not…

Where I am there is a nightclub that plays salsa music which you can find on google maps. There are also facebook and instagram pages that organize events at different venues, there are promoters and DJs that do it for income. If you go to a class and talk to people they’ll also be able to tell you where to go.

How dancing works is there is a basic step that you learn that goes along with the genre of music that you’re dancing to (salsa, bachata, merengue, swing, etc.). You then learn moves that you can layer on top of the basic step. The guy (the lead) picks a move from his database of moves based on what fits the music. As you learn the canned moves you get better at doing freestyle moves which you do separate from your dance partner when it’s appropriate (usually during an instrumental section). As …

Yeah reading his previous example he asked them if he could go shopping with them all day. Most of what I’ve read suggests you tell them you are going to leave in a minute but just want to ask them about x. Then before leaving you get a contact or in the best case scenario if they really like you you can propose an activity or a new venue. Asking them to make a time commitment when you haven’t yet proven yourself isn’t a good approach. For the best approaches it isn’t obvious you are hitting on …

I know the feeling my man. For me, I had a lot of trauma in my childhood. My mother was verbally abusive with me and my dad was a poor role model. My older brother is autistic so I was not socialized well as a kid. I wonder if you have anything similar in your life? I feel these things stopped me from developing relationship skills most people take for granted. One theory in “game” is that it’s social skills that attracts a woman rather than bullet points on a resume. The reason being these thin…

Well I watched a video where people had to guess the sexual orientation of a lineup of people. The people guessing often made the comment that they thought someone was gay because they were dressed too well. Probably unfair but a lot of straight men don't dress very well. Probably shouldn't dress like a slob but if people are assuming the poster is gay maybe he needs to rethink his style to something more stereotypically masculine.

I like the idea of recording your voice and mannerisms. You’ll probably pick up on stuff you wouldn’t otherwise notice. Maybe try wearing less formal clothes? What type of clothes do you wear?

You have to take it one step at a time. Slowly grow your comfort zone by putting yourself in uncomfortable situations. One thing that has helped me is taking up salsa dancing. It gives you a lot of experience interacting with women and touching them in a safe environment. Guys are expected to ask women to dance so you get a lot of experience approaching women. I’m still not great but I’m much better than when I started. I think it’s better than doing online dating and I wonder if we have lost so…

It’s all about baby steps. Just focus on saying something that can start a conversation like “where are you headed?” “Are you in school?” That’s the first of many steps between you meeting them and whatever your ultimate goal is. Thinking further ahead than that just messes with your head. If she seems to be enjoying the conversation hand her your phone.

I miss being able to smile to let people know I’m joking or to connect with people, especially when dancing with girls. It’s important for human beings to see each other’s faces. Given people wear masks multiple times and touch their faces they probably increase the risk of catching Covid.

It can be tough to get over the hurdle of asking for the phone number. It’s a lot easier to approach someone and talk to them by comparison. Maybe they’re hoping you’ll make the move since they’re not sure you’re actually interested. Men have to deal with endless rejection, being shamed or treated as a creep for saying something awkward. Women don’t realize how difficult dating is from the male perspective and often shame and belittle men for not measuring up. Women that appreciate this show mat…

Instead of focusing on the success of others (getting in a fraternity, athletic success) think about what you are good at. I wonder if you aren’t putting their abilities on a pedestal and not valuing your own abilities. Instead of trying to become someone else think about what you are good at and focus on those things. People tend to respect people who own who they are and that is attractive to girls. It’s a sign of maturity. If you want to be an athlete then try playing a sport. You don’t have …

Ultimately you have to tell her how you feel. It’s the hard thing to do but there’s no way around it. There’s more than one way to go about it, there’s no one right answer. Generally the more bold and confident the attempt the greater chance she’ll be attracted to you. You could try to kiss her. When you are talking to her you could position yourself close to her and make eye contact with her then look at her lips then back into her eyes, this way she has lots of warning. Maybe hug her first the…

I read in a book that it’s better to use statements. “You seem like the kind of person that reads about a lot of different subjects.” As opposed to “Do you like to read?”. Or maybe state an opinion to trigger a response. “I think it’s going to be a cold winter, what do you think?”.

Perhaps it’s a matter of recognizing mutual interest. If you say hi or smile to a girl you like and they ignore you (don’t make eye contact or show interest in talking) and you let it go no problem. If you keep trying to engage them even though they aren’t interested then you are being creepy. Probably also creepy by pushing too far without establishing interest first, for example making a sexual comment right out the gate. Rather than saying it’s a matter of being attractive it’s more correct t…

I think the practice mindset is to keep yourself from making excuses. Otherwise you'll tell yourself "oh she's not good enough so I won't do anything", or "oh she is too good why bother". It is also a way to soften the blow of rejection ("it was just for practice nothing more"). It also means if it doesn't work out it seems less like wasted effort, because you now have more experience than you did before. If you make a mistake you don't beat yourself up over it as much since you didn't miss out …

It sounds like you are looking for someone that is relationship material, or takes them seriously, rather than someone who likes messing around. At first I thought the same thing, but the real world doesn't have to be that different from college. Not to be corny, but once you have a job and money the world becomes your campus. I met most of my friends in college through clubs and I would say the same of life after college. I would recommend developing some hobbies that you are passionate about and using them as a way to network with people. For me I play soccer and do salsa dancing. I think there is a spectrum, it doesn't have to be one or the other. On one end you have the stranger on the street while the other extreme is the girl you know from your social life that's already been trying to get your attention. You see girls on the street everyday but the likelihood of them saying yes to you is much lower as is the chance they are a good match for you. The girl that already likes you is much more likely to say yes but you might only meet someone like that once a year. Appro…

I think the idea is that most people drink to reduce social anxiety. However, as you do more approaches overall social anxiety decreases to the point where you don't need alcohol anymore. Plus when you are not drinking your mind is functioning 100% instead of 50%. Not drinking means less calories, no hangover, reduces the cost of going out by as much as 50%. By gaining enough experience you have all the benefits of alcohol but no downside. You are ultimately a more dynamic, powerful person. I do…

Restructure your life so you are constantly meeting eligible women -> sign up for clubs, learn to dance. I like salsa dancing because it gives you a legitimate excuse to touch the girl and start interacting with her. A normal club is difficult because you have to come up with some kind of pick up line to start a conversation.

I think you have to develop strong enough self-esteem that it doesn't effect you, realize other people's opinion of you doesn't matter. Other people will recognize this in you and respect you more rather than less.

I think the beginner mistake is to think that rejection will hurt your self-confidence and your self-esteem, which causes fear. In reality it only increases your confidence because no longer are you the guy too afraid to approach woman but now you are the guy who has the balls to approach woman even if it means rejection. The rejection itself toughens your skin and the fear disappears. You realize they can't hurt you but only make you stronger.

I think this is the technically correct game response, create the frame that she is trying to win you over. In other words create the perception that she has a need while you have the solution.

I think it depends on the women, if that is the kind of person you are looking for it is probably a good strategy but if not than it probably isn't a good strategy. If you go around offering that kind of product you will get women that are interested in what you are selling. Most others prefer a more subtle approach I think. I would agree though that ultimately we are all sexual creatures so in reality things are always sexual on some level.
/r/seduction08/01/19 05:38 AM

I think that is the challenge, you have to think of an opener that makes it looks like you are just socializing. It’s like reality TV, the art is coming up with material that sounds real even though it is fake. Even though she likely realizes later or at the moment that it is fake she will play along with the game and see you as higher value because you are charismatic enough to come up with the right thing to say. It is a test. We all now reality TV is fake but we still watch it anyway.
