personally I think trying to segregate everyone into alpha/beta is a waste of time. first, a person's behavior can include any mix of traits. second, a person's behavior can be caused by temporary circumstances. someone having a tough time that has other stuff sorted but needs some affection will put themselves out to get what's missing. someone having a great time with no needs on the table is going to look like a boss no matter how you cut it.
