In loud clubs, it's best to do it non-verbally. You can escalate really far on the dance floor without talking. Never approach a girl from the back, always from the front. One way is to just stretch out your hand for the girl to grab, and if she does, spin her. Then start dancing. I also used to struggle alot with this. And you are right - when walking beside a girl, just suddenly grabbing her hand IS awkward. In my opinion, lines such as "My hand is so cold" etc are too cheesy. It's true for cold approaching, but in other areas such as Tinder, looks are everything. If you are really good looking, you can basically get easy dates of Tinder and start at step 2.
