Am I right to assume that you settled through mediation? If this divorce goes through litigation, would my wife be able to just relinquish custody to me?

I’m unable to afford a lawyer, or even legal counsel, and no one is willing to even talk to me without receiving money. I’ve even talked to a paralegal who told me he can’t give me any legal advice. Like I’m trying to understand the divorce law of Tennessee. I asked the paralegal if he understood the law since he’s working and training for/under a divorce attorney and he told me no. How quickly is quick, and why would I get less the longer it takes? Thank you for your response.

It’s difficult to dodge the emotions. Takes everything I have to take care of our daughter and to just to make it through the day. I have access to very little cash, my wife controls the income and has already removed my access to her income. We live in Tennessee and we own a home in Knoxville, and I took my daughter and left for my Sister’s in Memphis. My wife is claiming that I’m keeping our daughter from her, but refuses to visit or even call her. Thank you for your response.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
