Dating app suggestions?Correct. It is also like blind date after blind date. Get to know someone in person then ask them out. Don’t take the lazy way out | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/05/24 03:58 PM
It’s our fault guys that we are here.Correct. My ex’s family wealth was build through marrying and divorcing. Grandmother-3 husbands, mother-three husbands, other grandmother-2husbands. None worked. Even the ones still on marriage one have never worked—sister, aunt, cousin. They worked the system and have tens of millions between them | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/03/24 10:49 PM
Divorced Men: With what you experienced, would you ever remarry? If you could go back, would you have ever married knowing what you know now?To answer your questions, fuck no to remarry. Yes to go back ONLY because I got my kids. If I didn’t have my kids then double fuck no. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/03/24 01:22 AM
Any experience this, Divorced now for like a year but I'm still low key in love with my ex, I lose interest in current love affairs cause they never live up to her?I did this as a coping mechanism after she told me she wanted a divorce but before she moved out. Then one day she decided to look through my briefcase in the trunk of my car for some reason and found that list. Needless to say we stopped going to marriage counseling after that | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/03/24 05:40 PM
Ex doesn’t want to fileI heard a story on NPR where someone said marriage is the most important financial decision someone will make in their lifetime. I’d take that seriously now but not my poor, stupid, horny early 20s self | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/02/24 02:21 PM
Ex doesn’t want to fileI know. It is just hard to get in that mindset and then stay in that mindset. I go weeks sometimes then revert back to feeling like shit that I have to be the one do this. Not only am I having to do it to end my marriage when I don’t want to, I’m having to take the lead on financially devastating myself for the next umpteen years | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/02/24 01:43 AM
Ex doesn’t want to fileThe answer is yes. Am I collecting proof to show my kids a bunch of texts and e-mails when they are older? No. If she lies to them, I can at least die knowing I did try everything I could. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/02/24 02:46 AM
Ex doesn’t want to fileThanks man. It just kills me to have to be the one to do this shit. I honestly think my ex just can’t face the reality that she is the one who ended the marriage. That somehow me filing will make me the reason why we got divorced. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/02/24 07:36 PM
Life is good, men in your 40sThanks so much for writing this. I had been feeling lost again last night and this morning but your post pulled me out of it and reminded me to stay focused on the present and work on the things in my control. It is reading comments like this and this sub that have helped me get through some shit when therapy and friends/family aren’t available. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/02/24 03:46 PM
Is there an advantage to filling first? If she is the one that wants it why not let her file? If you don’t want it why be the one to do it? | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/02/24 05:26 PM
For Those that did ALL the houseworkI actually got criticized for cleaning. I was told I was OCD for putting dirty dishes in the dishwasher nightly, sweeping the kitchen floor, cleaning toilets weekly, and changing linens on saturday/sunday. Never got a thank you. Instead got told it made her feel like she was lazy and that it took away from time together. In other words, because i wanted to clean up baby toys/clean the kitchen after dinner before settling down for the night, I prioritized cleaning over our relationship | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/01/24 03:33 PM
Did counselling help any men?Unless both of you go into counseling with the fundamental premise that you are going to stay married and are getting help to improve your marriage, it won’t work. That is to say counseling will fail if someone goes into it unsure if they want to be married and need to be convinced otherwise | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/01/24 01:38 PM
