I can help answer that! My husband and I were a long distance couple through COVID lock downs. When he could come to my city to visit (he did most of the visiting), I spent most of the time with him (did not sleep over at where he was staying though). I also planned the activities/ dates since it's my city and cooked meals at home that I took over if we were staying in. Since he was working from home, he'd come visit and stay a few days at a time, and he'd visit every couple of weeks. That's how…

Yes! Take some time and think about these things, read about them too and see where your values and morals are. Also, your decision doesn't have to be set in stone, you are free to change your mind as new things happen in your life and acquire more dating and relationship experience

I agree with you, I've mostly seen the wait until marriage done in more religious couples, it's why I recommend the book which takes a secular look at the issue and provides tips to know when the relationship has moved to that level, also ways to have these conversations. I fully understand how the majority of people do have sex before tying the knot, especially with the longer courtship period in today's society. Ultimately, it's up to the person to make that judgement in that relationship. Gen…

I was in a similar predicament as you, and had many, many guys leave after I mentioned that I am waiting until marriage. There were a few guys who are religious (like myself) and also traditional who didn't mind this and wanted to see where things go. Currently, I am engaged to a wonderful man who understood when I said I am waiting until marriage. The book "Not tonight Mr. Right" explains these things really well as well as different timelines for different women as to when they might want to b…

Honestly, from what I've learned, you cannot really control who your partner talks to or texts and if you try you'll come across as insecure and controlling. What you can control is your response or reaction to it. I know it feel yukky, and it sucks. I would remind yourself that while he thinks your friend looks good, he is dating you and not her. I would start worrying if they spend more and more time alone together (in public or private). Keep in mind, that men in general like to help women wh…

I see. I personally would trust him, if he hasn't acted in a way to show that he is not trustworthy. I would be careful to make plans with him, say for your special day, a couple days in advance so he knows he has this time booked off to spend with you. If she then calls him for whatever reason, he can say sorry I'm busy with my girlfriend. I'm not sure about you or your social environment, but most people plan activities at least a day or two in advance since they have other things going on in …

I see. This sounds to me as one of two things. She either likes him and is looking for excuses to hang out with him one on one, or she genuinely needs help and he is kind enough to provide it when her other friends don't. I'd be happy about the fact that he told her no in your example. The fact she got mad means that she was expecting him to drop everything and help her (unless he agreed previously to drive her and he forgot).

I see what you are saying. While I would look into the extent to which the person was this close with this friend before me dating him, I am noticing this trend with a male friend of mine. This has me wondering about guys who have a lot of close friends who are girls, especially girls who are older or younger and live alone in the city. The guys always appear to be helping out these girls in one way or another and talking to them on a daily basis. At social events, I've noticed these girls alway…

For me personally religion is important, so I ask his religious affiliation (if it is different, how willing will he be to attend my church for example), I look at his religious devotion (in actions in public and the way he lives his life), I look for leadership qualities usually (assertiveness, able to make decisions and follow through, keeps promises), I also observe the way he treats service staff (waiters, clerks, and how polite he is), I observe his behaviour around food and alcohol (especi…

There is truth in what you say for sure, and I can see guys who feel the girl is out of their league not approaching her. It's like the classic question some girls get, you're so great how come you're single?

Intetesting, I tend to get a good score on agreeableness whenever I do the personality tests. When I do argue (I try to avoid) I tend to use logic most of the time which stems from my education I'd say

thank you for this, this is insightful. I definitely do come across as having things together in my life, from finishing education to a good job that's full time. Can you elaborate on examples where it was just too much work? could it be that she was super opinionated? argumentative? cannot take "no" for an answer without an explanation?
/r/RedPillWomen12/03/19 03:06 PM
3

see that's what I thought as well so I have been actively changing my behaviour to be more of "go with the flow" with group decisions/ dynamics. I do project my opinion from time to time but tend to keep my most extreme, unpopular opinions to myself or state them in a funny manner so not to offend. I usually ask more questions such as "how about xyz" or "what do you mean by xyz"
/r/RedPillWomen12/03/19 03:04 PM

thank you both :) while I work hard to maintain good self image, confidence and be assertive I do agree that one can be submissive and keep these traits. Any tips you can provide for coming across as more submissive?
/r/RedPillWomen12/03/19 03:02 PM

interesting that many men tend to be intimidated by mild mannered women. I am thinking it could be the way I converse or carry myself that comes off as too serious
/r/RedPillWomen12/03/19 02:59 PM
2

Could be the weakest men are intimidated. I definitely know what I want in a man and have certain things I won't compromise on, religion for example. I don't believe I'm special per say but do have confidence/ knowledge based on my accomplishments and experiences. Maybe it's really finding the right man to whom I can submit.. Thanks for the reassurance :)

I agree with you in terms of conversation and I've been making a concsious effort to ask more questions about the person and their topic of conversation while adding in a bit of my experiences. I am definitely assertive but also nice and aim to have clear boundaries. I have had a brief relationship where I've naturally submitted to the man and it was wonderful, however I feel the man needs to earn my trust for me to actually submit? I don't blindly trust people. I'm also working on being more in…

Your reply made me think of my own personal situation, especially thinking why do I need a man? I can never seem to pinpoint this aspect beside having a partner to support each other as we go through life and potentially a father to our children. Personally for me smoking is a deal breaker, regardless if kids were to be had with a prospective match, simply because I cannot stand the smell and know what it does to the body (I always do my best to take utmost care of my health and expect some effort from whoever I end up spending my life with). Having said that, if you are interested in the person and smoking is the only issue, you can bring it up when you guys decide to take things seriously or he asks you to be his girlfriend. Something …

Thank you. I have read secrets and it was a quick and pleasant read. I didn't do the assignments as I don't have a SO yet but I read it out of curiosity. Thank you for the elaboration. I too have fallen into the trap of giving too much of myself to a certain date or relationship where the other person was not necessarily reciprocating, and I have been told by friends and family that I am too nice and a "giver", aka don't know how to say no for requests. What has helped me in dating is taking sometime to set my own boundaries, what behaviour I accept, my red flags, the purpose of dating for me (which feeds into what your criteria you are looking f…

I am 26 female virgin waiting until marriage too :) it is hard and adds a lot to your value. I argued with various people about this, including atheists where the religion argument doesn't fly. I am in a bit of the same boat as you. My PMS symptoms used to be extremely bad (during teenage years), even depressing at times. What I think made me cope/ overcome/ control them is journaling for the most part. I used to write down all my thoughts during this period, cry my eyes out when feeling down and laugh my head off at my own jokes when feeling good. Now I don't live with a SO but I do live with my family and siblings. I find the best way to go about controlling reactions or "snapping" i…

such a great idea! Here is how my month is going so far: I have been trying to get back on track with my dieting and workouts but have been stalling/ falling off track due to various interruptions. Getting back on track tomorrow (have a wedding to attend mid August)! I have volunteered at a community organization for the past week and picked up the pace on work/ school related deadlines. I like reading self help and fantasy novels books mostly, also books on topic of interest to me like economics 101. I am into at home fitness and nutrition, I really like my job which has to do with medical research and data analysis. For me, it was seeing my mom go from working as an accomplished engineer full time to being a full time mom and house wife due to a move my family went through. Even then, my multiple failures at handling everything between university full time, extra curriculars, part time work, and attempting to get into medical school also started to open my eyes that I cannot have it all. Happy new year! It's been a crazy December for me. A major project did not go as planned and a potential romantic interest appears to not be as interested. I'd like to wrap up said project early 2018 as well as get into a serious/ committed relationship in 2018 as I feel I am getting older. So my question really is: will I be able to realize these goals in 2018? what steps can I take to help me with these goals? Thanks for your time

Thank you for doing this again, I don't have much time to get on the sub a lot, however it tends to be my refuge when things are rocky.
