I personally just find the ratio of numbers and dates / cold approaches far too low for my tastes. I have no trouble talking to strangers in line or that I'm sitting with and shooting the shit for a while so it's not AA either. Just giving myself the highest chance of success. That's why I've never really liked this whole "Approach 50 girls a week" method of game a lot of books teach. Then again, maybe my AA was never as bad as I thought

Exactly. I don't cold approach a lot. I pre-screen sets and just make my interest known. I approach less women and it probably is a contributing factor to dry spells, but I find my success rate when it's good is very high

I've been doing it for about a week and it already seems to be doing some wonders for my mindset. It's definitely frustrating at first but keep with it. I try to dedicate 20 minutes in the morning and at night every day for meditation

You're getting too in your head. Try practicing meditation. It'll help you get into state and the flow. In reality, it'll never matter really what you say, more why you say it and how you say it. Try not to over think. "Hey", "Yo", "How's it going?", "Lines pretty long eh?", "I want to pee in your butt". Anything! (Okay maybe not that last one, but you get the idea)

Yeah I know. I was like "Ugh I probably shouldn't have done that." I'm probably going to be picking her up and the earliest showtime I could find is a couple hours after she gets off work, so I was thinking of taking her to dinner before the film. Both give us time to work it out and escalate

You'd be surprised honestly. There's a girl in my Public Speaking clas(ironic I know) whose a solid HB8, though she suffers from a little bit of RBF(Resting Bitch Face) and it turned me off of her. I've started talking to her more though and she seems more down to earth than I'd have ever thought. Wishes more people would approach her, feels kinda awkward, ADD, recognizes her RBF, etc. Not stuck up at all. I'm not Quasimodo, but I'm certainly not Sam Worthington either.

The purpose step really speaks to me in this article. Exactly. We're both 18 so this is the world we kind of grew up in. Texting often may be something older women don't mesh with, but I feel like if you have the connection that you can text someone back and forth over the course of the entire day, from good morning to good night, and do it multiple days in a row, you have something intimate.

A little late but I'm in this same situation. There's a mismatch in our investments, I want romantic whereas she wants platonic. The thing a lot of people recommend is breaking it off, but the tripping point is the fact that us not dating seems out of her control. I'm taking 30 days of no contact to get over this oneitis and accept I may never talk to her again, and I've been happier over the past few days, but there are still doubts like I'm the one being a dramatic dick here.

Not OP, but in a similar situation. For me, it's not that there's nothing to talk about. The conversations are great and I try to be clear with my intent. I've been listening to a lot of Corey Wayne and he is very straightforward about the fact that, if you want one thing and she wants another, the best place you can end up is the friendzone and it's better to say "Have a good day, nice knowing you" than drag on a facade.
