I'm probably doing this wrong by Seddit's rules, but there have been quite a few girls I've been with that I've texted often. Like this past week, met a girl off Tinder and texted her frequently in between the initial match and our date, still ended with an f-close, so I'm not too sure what the big deal is. Obviously every girl isn't like that, but I just do what I, and the girl, feel comfortable with and go from there.

Everybody that I know who's been good with girls or is in a healthy stable relationship has used texting or things like Whatsapp with communication as a supplement to actually seeing her and stuff (including myself). Like it's fun and they often really like it themselves!

Also quite confused by the attitude towards it but I suppose what poro said above is true.

If you haven't fucked you shouldn't be texting too often because you run the risk of becoming a 'text-buddy', like you said. Why? It's hard to keep that burning I-want-to-fuck-him-attraction going when you're pinging back and forth for 12 hours, everyday for a week. You stale out.

You also run the risk of getting to be 'just some guy I text sometime'. Get her on the phone, get her out, fuck hur.

Once I've fucked I text her when the fuck I like; and the most mundane shit too.

I'm still in college and it's the norm to text girls quite a bit. But it all comes down to personal preference, just do what you want. If you don't know a girl very well it's weird to text her a bunch unless she's into it.

But I'm not sure what you mean by "texting buddy". Like friend zoned? She only texts you for attention?

If you don't want that to happen just be flirty and funny but don't come off as creepy. Seriously girls love it when you make jokes. Not like actual jokes but be funny and sarcastic. And drop some slightly risqué shit in there if she's shown interest. I garuntee she has other guys that are talking to her every other day. And guess what? She's getting way more interest from them than she is from the guy that only wanted to set up a date and not talk.

But with all that being said, if you're busy you're busy. Don't slack off at something like work just to text girls.

Well, half this sub is a bunch of dudes who cant get laid telling other dudes how to get laid so as with everything, take any advice around here with a grain of salt. I've been texting this chick I met the other day and we are already texting about what kind of things we are going to do to each other, sexually, next time we meet up this coming week. Some people are into texting. And this chick is over 30. Whatever, I'm going with it and I'm gonna get laid.
