I'll bite. Giving up porn, soda, mindless internet browsing. Goal: Write at least 1000 words a day no matter what. Bonus goal: Read for 30 minutes every day no matter what. In the meantime I'll be fapping like a madman for the next three days.

Wow. I just logged in to mention Gaiman here. Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. I've been a huge fan since my early teens, but as soon as he got with Amanda Palmer he started echoing all her feminist bullshit and I died inside a little. Can't blame him I guess. Feminists and SJWs are probably a large part of their collective fan base and, like /u/cocaine_face said, any smart famous person will say any kind of bullshit instead of speaking their mind for no real benefit.

I think any attention you get this way would make you the equivalent of that guy who goes to strip clubs and comes home with an empty wallet bragging about how this stripper was totally into him.

TRP isn't really about what to say. It's not pickup artistry where you go in like a robot reading off your script. Telling you what exactly to say in x or y situations is only going to hurt you. The point is to teach you to realize yourself what is actually happening in social situations and to react accordingly. As for how to think, I would think that reading the sidebar helps with that. I think the Rational Male made the biggest impression on me in terms of thinking. The topics in that link ar…

Being drunk if anything will make it worse. You run the risk of getting the ol' whiskey dick and not getting it up at all, which really sucks when you've already started the whole process. And if it's a ONS there is a significant probability that you won't be getting her in the sack again. Losing your virginity pretty much always sucks for everyone and there's not much you can do about it. You don't know how it's gonna go until you do it. It'll probably be quick no matter what you do, but it's n…

Men can't be friends with a woman because they will want to fuck her. I prefer to think of it more like "people can't be friends with someone of the opposite sex because one of them will always want to fuck the other more." It's not just men. In my experience, it's extremely hard to have an attractive friend without considering them sexually or romantically at some point. It's also very hard to have an unattractive friend who doesn't want you at some point. I used to hang out with some female br…

Having a PhD in particle physics doesn't really have a lot to do with emotional maturity or emotional intelligence. Highly intelligent people tend to be a lot more socially awkward for a number of reasons. They might have a history of doing hobbies which limit social exposure from an early age (reading, studying, video games, chess club). Often they overthink things or spend too much time thinking about the wrong things instead of just going with the flow. They are the type of people who will re…

I would also like to hear any opinions on what I can do differently next time around. Sounds like you got the results you wanted so I'm not sure what you want to hear. Honestly, you sound a little bitter about it to me. All the stuff she did afterwards and all the shit about twitter and her friend or whatever should be irrelevant if you're over it. "Well onto the next one then" comes off as a little tryhard and hurt. Should have just said "Cool" or "K" or nothing.

Good on you for not wanting to waste time. Wish I had that kind of initiative when I was younger. As someone else said, sounds like you've already got plenty lined up. Are there any other books I can read? Of course. Read everything, not just TRP books. Read Dale Carnegie, read Joe Navarro's excellent book on body language, read Day Bang/Rational Male/Models/etc. of course if you haven't, read fiction, lurk some of the other self improvement subs on reddit. It would also be a great time for you …

Why can't you drive? Get license, get a job, get a gym, get fit. You're probably not that ugly. Losing weight will help a lot. 4 inches is small, but not really a micropenis. Things always seem worse in your own mind than they are. You aren't deluding yourself. People a lot worse off than you have made such improvements.

My ex-fiance had hundreds of thousands of dollars of medical debt, along with student loans (no degree). Every time she had extra money and I suggested paying her debt, she spent it frivolously (spending her last $1000 on a Macbook or some bullshit). I have no debt. One of several reasons we ended up being "engaged" for over three years before I finally ended things. Even when I was BP I wasn't that stupid.

Goddamnit OP. Now I can't unthink about these. 1) Girl in HS sneaks me into dark, locked band room after school and kisses me against the wall. I didn't go for it because she had a reputation for being a slut. She wasn't that attractive, but I was 16. Should have went for it. 2) Gorgeous, popular blonde girl in high school talks to me the day after prom. Broke up with bf. Tells me she has a shitload of liquor still in her car and invites me over after school. I don't go because I think there's n…

A few months is a decent amount of time to get to know someone if you see each other a lot, and given the context of the conversation I guess it was a natural time to mention her past. But always be on the lookout with girls who wear their victimhood on their sleeves. This is a huge red flag that you may be getting into some serious shit, possibly having legal repercussions. I'm not saying that they don't have legitimate grievances, as your girlfriend surely does, but playing the victim becomes …

If you like singing, just own it. As long as you are confident about it and continue to not give a fuck I don't think it can be perceived as beta. Especially if you're good at it. To reiterate what AlphaAsFAQ said, though, I think it can be pretty beta if you do it in a beta situation. Definitely don't do it as an apology or a sappy romantic gesture or something like that. I would also avoid doing it on command if a girl asks you to sing for her or something. Not saying you can't sing to a girl,…

Want isn't my word. Besides the fact that this is the perspective supported by a multitude of notable Muslim speakers, that entire quote is basically verbatim what I was told by two Muslim women from Pakistan during a long conversation about the topic. I will pass along that they do not have a real understanding of the issue. I'm not denying that there is societal pressure to fit in. That is true in any culture. There is societal pressure in America not to wear socks with sandals. I only claimed…

What you're asking is basically the age old question of how to escape the friendzone. I don't know that anyone has a foolproof answer. The best you can do is put a shitload of time and radio-silence between you and the person (which you have already done) and hope for the best. It's pretty hard to let go of an image you have of someone and I think the results ultimately depend on how dramatically you've changed and how long it has been. If she was a good friend that you spent tons of time with a…

It's like the classic scenario where you think of a million better things to say in an argument days after the actual argument. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L'esprit_de_l'escalier The best advice that helped me is just to take your time. A lot of people who are very socially anxious or have approach anxiety with girls tend to talk faster. When asked questions, they answer almost instantaneously. It's not a matter of being "quick enough." It's a matter of what you say and how you say it. No one's…

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE WOMEN I can't agree more with this. When I was in college, before TRP, I lived with a girl who didn't work and was with me for basically every minute of every day for several years. I thought it was literally impossible for her to cheat, both emotionally and just in terms of having the time. I didn't find out until after the relationship was over that she had fucked some dude pretty early on. Believe me, they find a way. If they want to cheat, they'll find a way logistically…

The way she is talking to you is pretty shitty regardless. "I've done all these good things for you, but you've done jack shit for me." I think depending on how you've acted towards her this might become a recurring pattern of thought. I don't have a lot to add to what karmasutur3 said. From this alone, I'm inclined to think that you haven't thrown her a bone or that it's a bluff, but any of those other things are just as likely. I don't know. But I've been in similar positions enough to agree t…

Islam doesn't need feminism any more than anything else needs feminism. For anyone wondering, Islam does not condone beating women despite whatever stories Fox News can cherry-pick from a religion of 1.6 billion people or what poorly translated Quran quotes you are shown by white Christians. Islamic women are not "oppressed." Feminists or maybe American women in general are so egocentric and ethnocentric that they actually think they need to liberate these women. The reality is that there are a …

Beyond maybe a cursory check of Facebook every once in a while, you should have better shit that needs doing. If you don't, you need to find better shit that needs doing. Pretty much any activity in this world is more productive than gossiping on the internet with people you knew from high school and posting pictures of your vegan tofu burrito.

Most people have a pretty shitty SMV when they are young, especially while in college. Enjoy yourself by all means--work on your socializing, try to get laid as much as you can, practice TRP stuff, whatever. But most of all focus on yourself. College is probably the most opportune time for self-improvement. Get fit, make friends, get hobbies, work towards getting a good job, learn how to talk to attractive women. What you're doing right now will go a long way towards having a higher SMV in the n…

I live in Appalachia. Can confirm country music has always been heavily saturated with beta stuff like this. Hank Williams, George Jones, etc. all have lyrics like that anytime they write a song about love/women. It's just a case of being marketed to girls, women, drunks and dudes who romanticize that kind of bullshit.

The internal stuff will come with the external. When you've dropped 100 pounds, gotten a better job, started getting looks from women, it'll be pretty damn hard not to feel better about yourself. It doesn't happen overnight, but you don't need to wait for the end results. Recognize that simply by beginning to improve yourself, you are beginning a better life. You're doing things that a lot of men will never have the balls or discipline to do. Recognize your value for that alone. Congratulate you…

Being RP isn't synonymous with being an asshole. It's not about looking "alpha" to everyone or having an RP image. Trying to demonstrate to everyone how RP you are is not very RP. One day she'll leave you ... Does that sound like love to you? There is no "unconditionally." All romantic love is conditional. So what? If she leaves him does that mean she never loved him? To recap: You're telling OP that even if his girlfriend loves him and he "truly" loves her, he shouldn't tell her or reciprocate with his love because she will be lying and/or the relationship will end. This is terrible advice. "Ha. She's gone. Joke's on her because I didn't tell her I loved her or engage he…

So... Because your sister only had a couple of boyfriends before being married, you have concluded that some women must be paragons of virtue who will stay with you unconditionally. seems loyal How do you even know that your sister has been loyal throughout her entire life? Yeah, I noticed travelling was a pretty big topic for leading his conversations. I mean, anything you do can be segueable. Whatever you do as a hobby or even work if its mildly interesting. To borrow one of his examples: "Is that a good laptop?" You could say "I need a new laptop for [whatever class]" if you're in school. Then she asks about school, your class, whatever, or talks about her own classes if she's in school. If not, keep rambling. "Does [whatever company] make good shoes? How do the…

Not really sure what you're asking. I'm not not a huge fan of Roosh V but I'm a pretty big fan of Day Bang. I think you're overthinking it. I think the rejection thoughts are more like something to keep in mind until you realize that the worst possible rejection will never happen to you. Trust me. No good can come from this. If you buy flowers for a girl who already favors you, you get a sort of beta-validating "oh, that's nice." If you buy flowers for a girl who disfavors you, she still doesn't give a fuck, probably less so after the flowers. As AlphaAsFAQ said, positive reinforcement is probably the only opportune condition for buying flowers. The expensiveness of the flowers does not seem to make a difference in my experience. Sorry if I missed this in your story, but was this your first LTR? Mine was four years, literally almost killed myself with grief when it ended in my early twenties. Walked away from another five year relationship (one that was way better than the first one) a couple years ago and didn't break a sweat. It gets easier. I think even if you had hundreds of friends, it would still be too small of a sample to get a good bearing on this statistic overall. Not even taking into account other variables that might be more similar among your friends than the average population-- like ethnicity, attractiveness, income, etc. But as far as simple observation, I'm inclined to agree with you. How to Win Friends and Influence People This is the self-help book. Pretty much anything from Carnegie will improve your quality of life. He has a book specifically about self-confidence that is worth a read. How to Stop Worrying and Start Living is good too. Like someone else said, it might not be the best place to take away advice specifically about women because it's all pretty dated, but as far as kicking life's ass it should be your first stop.

I already removed all his negative blabbering. He had a lot of shit about his feelings in there. I cut his about me by 50% in general. He also had "Bisexual" as his orientation. And who gives a fuck really, but I think that would have narrowed his options some so I just changed it to straight (he didn't mind). I remember a cartoon from when I was a child where a dam was leaking water. When the character, Wil E Coyote or whoever, plugged the hole with his finger, then another hole cracked open and water started pouring out. As he kept stuffing appendages into the holes, the amount of holes cracking open increased exponentially until finally the dam exploded. You should treat it as a shit test either way if she is calling you out on it. If she just expects you to prattle on to fill every silence then I wouldn't worry about it. But it might be a genuine problem worth working on if someone is trying to have an actual conversation, putting in the effort on their side, and you're sitting dead in the water. I'm not much of a talker either, but being able to keep up a conversation is a pretty essential skill for anyone. Roosh V's Day Bang has a lot of usef…

First of all, stop thinking of yourself as a loser and "little pussy blue-piller" and "pussy loser." Jesus. No one has patience for that kind of talk, especially girls, and you shouldn't accept it from yourself either. You lift. You work two jobs, which is pretty badass. You presumably dress well. They are both definitely worth a read. I wouldn't worry about a couple of negative reviews. I don't think you'll ever see a game/TRP book that does not have negative reviews because of the preponderance of women and blue-pilled men in the world. I'm relatively new to TRP but, like most people here, I am an expert in rejection. Once you've done something with a girl, you can almost set your watch by the inevitable spiel about her breakup or not being ready or blah blah. Women never want to feel li…

I can't imagine that a guy would need you to vent to him unless he needs some kind of validation himself. Then you have to ask yourself if that is the kind of man you want attention from. It takes an insecure person to wish for the people around him to be weaker than they are. As long as he feels desired, I doubt that your boyfriend would want or need you to feign helplessness for the sake of his own ego. Life has enough hassles without manufacturing some.
