I like to plan/prepare everything for the next day. I also like budgeting/using a calendar or planner to relax. I like it as a relaxing activity (naturally anxious type A, feel better when things are in place) And its also great when I have more energy to be social, I have more room in my brain for hobbies and loved ones

You’ve been an adult for 2 years. So much more to life than a relationship. Find out who you are first!

Hi hi!! You should want to improve yourself for you!! Right now focus on filling your cup up, and that confidence will attract someone!! In regards to makeup, wear makeup that is most flattering to you. Don’t worry about what anyone thinks but you, it’s your face! I would say since you just started with makeup, I would try a tinted moisturizer, lip gloss and eyebrow gel. Highlight the aspects of your face you love!

Hi hi!! I just want to say while self care is important, you don’t need to have a lot done to be feminine. Being feminine for me is more of a mindset and the other stuff follows, just listening to that softer voice above the more masculine. Listen to how your body feels/aspects of your physicality you want to do and listen to it. Want to take a bit of R&R? Take it Want to wear a skirt? Wear a skirt TLDR: confidence and mindset are all you need!

Of course it’s important! I totally agree!

Pudding pop, I just got back to square one after a 4 year relationship. I’m 24! You’re young, have fun! If you guys end up not being compatible you can’t force it, just find someone who is. It’s not personal, you guys just seem like you want different things out of life.

Sweetie you’re 20 😭 This conversation is important to have but you’ve only been an adult for 2 years

Sweetie we won’t judge. This man is a predator. You were a child. I’m so sorry you went through this.

Pumpkin, I was in a similar situation as you. This isn’t a matter of you respecting him, he wants to control you. He’s isolating you from friends. Huge red flag.

Hi G, thank you for your comment. I understand being there to support a partner. I felt my most recent partner was pushing me to take care of everything for him. We both worked full time jobs, but it was my job at home to manage his schedule, clean his apartment, and cook him meals. There was nothing to reciprocate that, it’s just what he wanted. I love caring for others. I love baking and making my space welcoming for everyone. He was taking more than he was giving. He wanted me to look 10/10 e…

A soft place to relax, and help him when he needs it. Emotional support. I meant in my first comment that I wouldn’t have to worry about him like I would a child.

She actually owns her own makeup brand and his written and sold books! I’m not saying she’s a morally righteous person because she’s not.

To me, an alpha is someone who is capable of holding their own while helping to take care of me. No reminding of doctors appointments or to clean or to do XYZ.

She’s the most like Andrew Tate, not a role model lol. I think a lot of her advice is fine, I think cheating is just wrong

I was a feminist for a long time (like 6 years? I’m 24). I thought men and women weren’t that different. I knew I was interested in masculine men and being feminine I just wasn’t able to. Weak men used me as an emotional punching bag because I allowed them too. I couldn’t be soft. I was too patient, too forgiving. I prayed for patience, grace, and understanding. Before my most recent partner broke up with me (4 years over text, he tried to take it back but no thank you) I was watching videos abo…

I don’t plan on it, I’m over feeling inadequate. It feels like pulling teeth to spend time with him when he’s not playing video games. If we FaceTime he’s playing his game. I get upset because it’s rude? But he doesn’t see how it bothers me.

This might just be a me thing but it feels kind of silly to dress up when we’re staying in playing video games

He was an only child! I am pretty sensitive but I’m working on looking at this with an objective POV. I want to spend time doing things besides video games with him. I enjoy video games and I don’t have an issue with them, I just don’t want to play them all the time.

That is a fair point! We’re currently not roommates. If we lived together I would have no problem maintaining my space like I do at home lol!

I got “comfortable” by dressing as he does when I come over, and he didn’t appreciate that. I am certainly not comfortable now!

I’m not sure how to hit that balance 😞

We spoke about marriage but I’m not sure if I meet his expectations. He wants his partner to be a SAHM and have 5+ kids, which is fine! However, he’s asking me to cover half the rent if we move in together. Both of these ideas are fine separately, together I don’t think it makes sense.

I don’t mind helping out when I’m not being spoken to like a little kid (why don’t you make me dinner? If ____ bothers you then you clean it) I stay on top of my space and try to help out my parents

I don’t mind helping my partner I just don’t appreciate being spoken to like a child. He’ll get annoyed when I don’t answer his phone but I can go a full day without hearing from him (he works nights and I work days)

The way he asks me makes me feel inadequate. “Why don’t you cook for me?” “If the sheets bother you then you change them” instead of… not that

I see your point for a date night in! He has nice ideas for a night in, but he ends up playing videos the entire time. I have no issues baking or cooking, he just tells me I HAVE to do it, but I don’t speak to him that way.

We’re in our early-mid twenties, together for 4 years. I haven’t moved out of my family house so I’m pretty sure that’s adding friction. I just started working and I want to be mindful with my student loans.

We both work full time! I live at home with my family right now (student loans lol) He works more hours than me since he’s eligible for overtime.

I get what you’re saying! From my understanding, he wants me to dress up to just stay home and play video games. He’s gone weeks without changing his sheets and when I mention that they should be changed once a week, he said I should do it if it bothers me. He also asks “why don’t you cook for me?” I tell him he doesn’t have a ton of food for me to prepare. He told me he would bring me grocery shopping so I can help plan the meals and shop for what we would need. I have no problem cleaning up af…

He wants to find an apartment with me. He makes more than me, but I would have to pay half the rent. He says the economy is tough and he has more expenses but I’m not sure how comfortable I am with that. He works overtime at work

Do both of you guys have jobs? Have a family? Friends? Hobbies? He needs to chill

When I started dating I felt that men could sense my empathy and they really took advantage of that. I felt they saw me as a mother figure that could help them with their problems (waking them up for school, making sure they are enough, sleep enough, etc) it wasn’t reciprocal. A relationship isn’t a caregiver/child relationship. It’s about building each other up! Some men will see that ounce of caring in you and try to exploit it. Don’t let them.
