The 4 months thing is bs. It takes way longer to prove incest/rape, and rape isn't taken seriously anyway 99% of the time. The new abortion laws have changed my mind about having sex. If I choose to date again, I won't be having sex until I'm married. It doesn't completely take away the risk of needing an abortion, but it helps. The right wing anti-woman laws are another reason I'm a gun owner. I can see more women opting for sterilization to protect themselves from the right wing baby trapping …

Big big ick. If I could go back to my pick me days and slap myself I would. And that smugness men get when you love them more than they love you. Ugh.

I've never dated one myself but some HV behavior I've noticed were with my 3 male cousins who won't let any female guest in their homes touch the dishes. I'm not sure if their wives have ever done a sink full of dishes before because the guys do all of the housework as well as work full time. Another time, one of my(now ex) husbands friends offered to detangle my fishing line since I had my hands full with my kids (and husband was drunk). He is married with his own kids now and I'm super happy f…

100% about the legitimately problematic women being very obvious. I went to an educational meeting at a local spot last weekend where I learned that the typical buyer of sex trafficked children is a "35 year old married man with children" and that put a whole new spin on how I think of single dads. I wonder how many divorces are initiated by women trying to get away from their child predator husbands.

This is why I won't date a single dad. I trust his ex's judgement.

It's another case of pure projection from LVM. I've never heard a wealthy man worry about "gold diggers", but I see men mooching off women ALL the time.

Enjoying singehood as a single mom yes. Just being able to do stuff alone or stuff with my kids without my (now ex) husband hovering, getting his parents involved, treating me like Cinderella, or being on edge if I leave the house because he's going to be texting me within 5 mins asking when I'm coming back.

Even the unibomber was an in.ce.l. A few months ago in Waukesha WI a guy plowed thru a Christmas parade. He had just gotten done with assaulting one woman, and had gotten out on parole for running over (with a VEHICLE) one of his baby mommas about 2/3 weeks before. And the cops and news are like "nobody could have predicted this what a senseless tragedy". Men let men be murderers.

99% of the time they are lying. Lundy Bancroft explains it in his book "Why does he do that". Usually men complain about their exes so you switch into "I won't be like (this) other girl!" Mode And walk on eggshells from the beginning. Like, my own ex should be in jail for what he's done to me and our kids and I still wouldn't go around saying he's crazy. I say "it's taken me some time to learn how to manage his behavior towards myself and our kids". If his ex is legit "crazy" you will literally …

It took me 2 years after my ex tried to kill me to report. If I would have reported it, he may have killed my mom and kids while I was in emergency surgery. There are medical records to back it up. It hasn't gone anywhere and the police I reported to kept spitting on the ground during the report. I'm 110% in support of adding social workers to the police force so violence against women is actually taken seriously. Something like 40% of police officers are domestic abusers themselves. So evil pro…

Two FDS members were in my DMs of my old reddit account after I posted about some BS I was putting up with. A week before the messages had come in, I had done a ritual for the goddess Kali (Kali is seen as the ultimate mother figure, protector, and liberator) and asked to have connection with other women, because I felt so alone in my relationships with men, and I couldn't make female friends. I can't even trust my own mother. I definetly didn't trust men (and rightly so). After finding FDS I am…

Doctors are actually off the list of men to date for FDS. Plenty of money but not worth the ego(not saying that's your problem but it happens too often to bother with). HV is measured by how you treat your partner. Being in shape, knowing basic adult stuff like cooking, having a job are simple basic things that make you a functional adult, not a HV man.

Him accusing you of being a gold digger is very telling too. The only men who worry about "gold diggers" don't have any gold to be dug anyway. The men who do have "gold" know how to protect their assets legally from anyone who might actually use them for their money. They also have a budget for dating/spending on their woman already figured into their finances.

It's just them bragging about how careless and LV they are. Men who go get lost in the woods/go out and about for days without any phone/communication when they have a wife and kids at home are massively selfish.

Her daughter bosses her around because the dad lets her/encourages her to. Parental alienation happens most to moms, not dads, and it starts even before the child is born in most cases with the father (and his family) negging the soon to be mom.

Made me chuckle. When my NV ex drug me to marital counseling because I was no longer reacting to his abuse the way he wanted me to, the therapist recommended the book "why men love bitches" to me. He was a 55 year old Catholic man. It think my current therapist may approve of FDS judging by the resources she has recommended to me, and I might bring it up sometime this year.

They get the legal right to stalk, harass, assault, sexually assault, control, and financially abuse any woman they marry, even after she leaves him. They also get a lesser prison sentence if they kill their wife/ex wife (as opposed to a longer sentence if they kill a stranger or gf). They also get more raises at work for having a family (something women get fired for), as well as the social status of being married.

I got downvoted to hell for saying that men would do sex work if it was "just another kind of work that uses your body". It's almost like men don't want to get paid for letting a man use their body for sex 🤔🤔🤔

The book was written 20 years ago and times have changed a ton. Pretending that we don't want commitment sounds like a cool girl/ pick-me idea in 2022. And I think in this day and age we should be more straightforward and say that we are looking to get married. And then follow every other part of the advice of the book and FDS. If he gives you crap about marriage, into the bin he goes. Next!

I represent myself against my ex husband in family court. He went so far as trying to kill me, and still abuses me and my kids. However, representing myself has been the cheapest and easiest option for me. Two of the lawyers I hired were absolute psychopaths, and one worked with my ex against me. I know it feels hopeless but numbers don't lie. And if you are already on disability, that's a sealed deal. The only defense you need to state is that: You've been married for 25 years. The law says tha…

This is a good lesson for all of us to learn. I've experienced this in my last relationship. It was something as simple as using the same chapstick brand as his (not even abusive) ex he felt he was somehow victimized by. He'd say something "my ex used to use that brand. But it's ok. It's ok if you're using it. I know you need it and it's a good brand. I love you even if you use that brand" If a man was legit traumatized by chapstick (and weird triggers do exist) he'd take himself to therapy to h…

Ugh this. I was a sahm while my ex went to school and got into the workforce. I couldn't afford to work because he wouldn't pay anything towards daycare. He wouldn't let me finish my degree either. And now we split custody 50/50 yet he makes about 100k and I make about 10k without child support included. I end up paying for everything anyway so the kids don't go without.

Dating will definetly jeopardize my life in more ways than one. Getting married to a NVM (and divorced) ruined any potential career I could have had. I have my own small business and I'll be able to live off of other streams of income, but it's still a bummer. Even if I found a man who wanted to pay for everything, they often pressure you to not work and not have your own finances, or just interrupt your work life constantly with their emotional bs. 1 Happens just as much with married mothers who are married to scrotes and use their sons as "son-husbands". 4 I see this so much especially online. Men of single moms can be huge golddiggers. I am a single mom with a boy and a girl. My son is massively intuitive, and figured out that I left his dad because his dad treated me so poorly. Strangulation actually is a huge sign because it's a direct way to kill someone (as opposed to beating). I had an ex try to strangle me in my sleep. I told people and he was pissed. He wasn't physically violent towards me again until 4years later when he tried to kill me. Telling people what happened and getting medical documentation, and staying permanently away from the abuser is the best plan. Excellent list. I'd also add under the belittling accomplishments, they will threaten to break up with you for your accomplishments by either playing victim to them, or by saying something like "Well since you're so accomplished now, I guess we are done. All I wanted was for you to be happy."
