If it makes you feel better I’m sure half of those are just rage bait.

I think it did a decent job showing how men deserve to be treated as individuals not accessories. Ken is interesting and has growth.

Haven’t seen it but like, guys it’s just a silly movie. People who says “worst movie I’ve ever seen” just make me chuckle.

But you can’t go around saying men should dump women who bring up therapy. That’s such a blanket statement. There are men who need therapy and have caring wives/gfs who are looking out for them. It’s of course a case by case basis though. Some relationships do need to end yes. But I wouldn’t put out such a potentially harmful blanket statement.

“Women shouldn’t shame men for going to therapy” yes. Correct. “If a woman suggests therapy it means the relationship is dead and you should dump them” No! Lol. What a terrible thing to tell people.

I don’t think you started out on a good note. You went in basically saying “you women would be totally helpless without men” so it’s not surprising that they responded saying “well I think women don’t need men”. Ideally both sides should be willing to see that neither is superior.

Sadly a lot of cheaters rationalize by telling themselves “I’m not cheating, we’re just kissing” or “just touching” etc. and they think that they’re fine as long as there’s no P in V penetration - so “it’s not cheating” they claim. Therefore I guess some women think “well were just doing this or just doing that” and since there’s no P in V penetration their warped brain tells them they’re not cheating. Of course it’s total nonsense. If you’re doing anything intimate or sexual - anything that mak…

It’s only ever useful or helpful if you’re simply raising awareness for men’s issues. As soon as you’re drawn into a discussion of “who has it worse, men or women?” then people stop listening and dismiss whatever you say. Not saying it should happen like that, just saying that it does often happen. So you gotta steer clear of convos like this post. Raise awareness without comparing to women rights movement or feminism too music. After all, men’s right don’t matter because they have it worse or e…

Sadly, that’s how a lot of peoples brains work. To a lot of people “I like Star Wars” means “I hate Star Trek” which is just silly.

I was watching a reaction channel and she was reacting to a scene where a woman (padme, Attack of the Clones) in an action scene gets part of her clothes ripped to expose her midriff. The YouTuber was like “sure let’s use any excuse to show off her body. Tsk tsk” But when reacting to Indiana Jones he was shirtless and she was like “I’m really enjoying the shirtlessness. Nice of the filmmakers to think of people like me when making this scene.” Lol

As the saying goes, try to boil a crab it’ll climb out but try to boil 2 crabs and they’ll be so busy fighting that they’ll boil together. People on both sides get so caught up in “which side suffers more?” and it wastes energy and just makes people angry. I’m not just saying it’s as easy as holding hands and singing Kumbaya, but in general we should be trying to build trust on a foundation of common ground. So if a conversation starts to go down the route of “we’ve go it worse” “no we’ve got it…

Labels often do more harm than good. A person who calls themselves an incel could just mean they are lonely and wish they had someone in their life romantically at that’s it. But it could also be someone who resents all womenkind. Someone who views companionship as something they’re entitled to. Use sentences to describe yourself. Avoid labels because people will just assume the very worst. As ford which words other people use to insult or dismiss you, that’s out of you control. Be your best sel…

Are these women extrapolating the small population of men they gravitate toward sexually (toxic, abusive types) to the entire male populace? No. It’s all just stereotypes. Stereotypes tell us how to think, how to predict the world we live in. Sometimes we’re aware sometimes we’re blind to it. Society was taught very simple concepts Women are weak and innocent. they need protection. Men are stronger and more powerful. Power can be abused. therefore beware men, they pose a potential threat to wome…

Just flip the genders: Let’s say a woman answers phones and all these guys are assuming she’s ok with intimate language like “baby”, “honey” etc. and they start saying “oh sweetie you’ve got a sexy voice” to her. She’s be justified in feeling awkward and uncomfortable. No one (except the creeps) would say “lady, there’s something wrong with you.” Or say “you gotta learn to take it as a compliment.” Etc.

Obviously she wasn’t thinking straight but I just really really really wish that she had left the baby in her room. I just... it’s so sad. I just wish that little baby was still ok. Edit: downvoted for saying “I wish the baby had lived” ?

People want things to be simple, concrete, black and white. Women good, men bad. If a woman is sad, it’s somehow men’s fault. If a man is sad, men did that too. Life makes sense. In reality we’re all human beings and gender often has no bearing on our problems and suffering. When i speak up about men’s suffering it’s because I see the suffering and no one else seems to be talking about it. That’s it. It doesn’t have be this stupid game of “who suffers more?” and “well see, that’s really men’s ow…

stay away from low brow low quality women I’m hoping you’re heart is in the right place but unfortunately your wording kinda sounds like blaming the victim. If your friend got robbed, you’d say “that’s awful. Curse that idiot who robbed you. Anything you need buddy, I’m here for you” and you definitely would NOT say “what? you got robbed? Well next time stay away from those low quality people who might rob you”.
/r/MensRights25/12/20 07:39 AM

I know I’m preaching to the choir here but I mean come on, if you reversed the genders ... “32 yr old man lured 14 yr old girl to his house to ‘have sex’ “ already sounds 50x worse (to others. Obviously they’re equally bad)

I agree with all of your comment except for the very end, just because I don’t think we should paint with such a broad stroke and say “all women would do that”.

Imagine being so concerned about one-upping people that you downplay something as serious as suicide. Like, even if what they are saying is true, shouldn’t you focus on “let’s help people who struggle with these thoughts”?

This was me like 5 months ago. If you’re like me, then you might be saying that you believe all people, women and men, should be treated fairly and their human rights should be protected etc. which is great. 😊 I’m very glad that you don’t think men are trash (and I’ve upvoted your comment). The issue is not good, well meaning people like you. The issue is that the leaders/influencers of the feminist movement do tend to dismiss men’s rights, often with an attitude of “women have been so opressed,…

Don’t get me wrong, I have some issues with the ad. All I’m trying to say in this post is that we should imo engage in cordial conversations with people who saw the ad and liked.
/r/MensRights22/01/19 07:09 AM

Actually, she and I talk a lot about men's rights and men's issues. We watched Law and Order SVU together and we'd pause and talk about how violence and abuse against men isn't taken seriously enough by society. She simply didn't see the problems with the Gillette ad on first viewing but she agrees that men shouldn't be made to feel guilty or responsible.
/r/MensRights22/01/19 12:17 AM

I agree that the ad does sort of make people (men) the problem. I'm not defending the Gillette ad. I'm just talking about how we engage with people who a saw the ad and liked it. I'm not really commenting on whether or not the ad should've been made in the first place. But the fact is that the ad exists and is out there are some people liked it. All I'm trying to talk about is how we can have a conversation with the people who liked the ad in such a way that they're more likely to understand us …

Some more context: The original post was (obviously) about a woman berating and threatening her spouse - saying she’d break his phone, saying she should’ve married his friend instead, and actually throwing his phone across the room - all because he was bumping into a few things due to being distracted on his phone. The screenshot is of a comment pointing out that she shouldn’t mistreat or threaten people, which was sadly downvoted by other redditors.

We all know that you can only raise awareness for one group of people at a time. If you bring up a second group, then you are obviously just trying to silence the discussion and oppress people. Lol. I once saw a thread where someone was like “wait a second... why are we against men’s rights? Because is sounds like something we should be in favor of” and the reason that was provided to them was, you guessed it, that men’s rights activists really don’t care about men’s rights, they just bring it u…

This. We have to raise our concerns calmly and maturely. We can’t be whiny or bitter and we mustn’t overreact or exaggerate because then no one takes what is said seriously. I personally find much of OP’s post to be on the exaggerating side of things.

Whoa there. Just to clarify, I'm not saying anyone was raped or that anyone is an evil sexual predator. I'm honestly just trying to say that maybe pranks shouldn't be sexual since people can't give consent. Just something to think about. :)

Most subs I've been to require all the usernames be crossed out even if it's your own, so that's why I did that, haha. But I can see how it might look that way. I'm sorry you didn't like my post. You can never have someone’s consent to a prank, Then maybe pranks shouldn’t involve sexual things since they can’t give consent. 🤔 I really don’t think they crossed a line. I agree that it could’ve been much worse.

You’re so close to getting the point though. “As long as it was with someone who I would’ve consented to do that with had I been asked, it’d be fine”. But he wasn’t asked. That’s like if you were somehow tricked into having sex with there wrong person and then saying “as long as it was with someone I secretly wanted to have sex with anyway, then it’d be fine”. Saying that just proves that 1) who the person is and 2) what you want both matter. :) I hope this helps.

I don’t know about online, but in real life I think most people agree that masculinity is important. I don’t think most people think masculinity itself is bad, so when they say “toxic masculinity” they’re referring to the notion that men must be a “tough macho guy” that never cries, likes violence, eats only meat, treats women as trophies etc. and so when they say they want to fight against “toxic masculinity” they’re saying they want the promote the idea that men can show their emotions, enjoy …

I think I understand how you’re feeling, but if it makes you feel better, most people don’t act like that in real life. Most women understand that men’s rights matter too. It’s just too much internet chatting etc. can make anyone‘s hope waiver when actually there’s a lot of positivity out there. :)

You had a good start with the quote in the title, but then the body text needs some work. I agree that women should not be afraid that all men will kill them, obviously. But we shouldn’t imply that it’s a woman’s responsibility to not get herself murdered; it’s everyone’s (men’s and women’s) responsibility to not be murderers. :)
/r/MensRights22/09/18 05:24 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
