Notice the indignation instead of counterarguments. It's never "That's not true" it's "It's wrong for people to think that it is true." Appeal to shame instead of appealing to reason.

Lots of good advice here, especially the point that it usually has more to do with her than you (unless you have a small penis, sorry). The only thing I wanted to add was that arousal is rooted in the psyche for both men and women. If you have problems with anxiety and nervousness, then it helps to try to keep in the present and focus on your desires. Take the initiative, and basically do what you want with her unless you feel like there's something really wrong. Don't take it, wait for her to w…

Absolutely true, but you also need to use your intelligence on this one. The point isn't to bark orders at your SO, or try to make all the decisions for her. You're not leading her around like a pony. You're not trying to micromanage her. The message here can go from alpha to beta if implemented wrong (which is why you need to hone your game before getting into a relationship). Yes, you can be "too controlling", which means that you care too much about her following your lead, or doing what you …

Fair enough. You make some points. It might not have been society, or the media, who lied to us on this point. It was women. And feminism. At one point many of us believed in the patriarchy, and that everything that we learned from the movies, or television, or advertisements, were stereotypes and social constructs propagated by a conspiracy of men. For instance, just those things that you are assuming as a premise has been vilified as misogynist. Basically, feminism reaches men as a list of "th…

No. Negging is widely misunderstood and often used as a means for attacking PUA culture. Even Mystery, the most influential proponent of "negging", says that negs aren't insults. Negs, when properly done, are just meant to get the target out of her frame. A personal one on a dating site: Her: I love to bake! Me: You look like a baker. Her: lol...thanks...I think Personally, I wouldn't consider a comment a proper neg if there isn't a bit of a teasing element to it.

I think the key to Skyler White is that she was obviously written by a blue pill male. Her story is the story that blue pillers would think that an oppressed woman goes through, what woman's motivations are, etc. Her husband is a secret, drug lord...she finds out, he dominates her, and she loathes it. The red pill story has a different ending.

Non-evo-psych theory: The easy answer is that music and art are the gateways to the soul. Women are more heavily affected by appeals to feeling and emotion than men are, and there's an associative affect going on. This creates interest in artists and musicians, but I'm not sure this leads to attraction or arousal on it's own. But a guy who is surrounded by other women certainly gets the preselection going.

Nope. No real issues with depression that weren't related to where I was in life. Took the red pill rather than the blue pill to deal with my depression: Moved out on my own away from family, learned game, and invested in myself.

The best advice that I give is to not take a girl seriously until she goes out of her way for you. In game terminology, that's basically compliance testing. But your sons are going to have to figure out women for themselves for the most part.

Very different context when a woman asks that to a guy than when a gay guy asks that to another gay guy. Also, as a gay guy, notice how much more straight forward men are than women. Gay guy game: Do you have a boyfriend? A: No, but I'm not looking right now. Straight game: Do you have a boyfriend? A: Yes. (Really no, other than the guy she's crushing on at the moment.)

Shit tests are indicators of interest. This is the most important thing you need to know. Internalizing this, in itself, will help your game in spades. Basically, shit tests are opportunities to increase your attraction.

My opinion is that as a guy, you either arouse her feminine or maternal instincts. The friendzone/beta orbiter category means that you arouse her maternal instincts, and she probably does love you but only in a maternal way. Not all women use beta's for validation. Feminine women really do have compassion and empathy for people, more than men should. Main lesson: If you find yourself in women's friendzones often, this is a really bad sign. But don't frame this as that women are using you, they a…

My opinion is that video games are a form of idleness. It's something that people do when they don't have anything better to do. I hate thinking about activities in terms of productivity. Yeah, you're more productive at work than at home playing video games, but at work you're productive for other people. Rather, look at it in terms fo self-investment. Neither work nor video games are forms of self-investment, for the most part, but there are exceptions. If you're enthused by your job, and are a…

My father likes to joke that since they've canceled mandatory military service (in my country) men are weaker. This will be a controversial view, especially with the hyperpatriotic conservatives in the manosphere, but there is reason to think the opposite. I've seen it produce the opposite, military service produces passive men, because the ability to follow orders without thinking is a trained effect of military discipline. I would suggest instead Nietzsche's aphorism "Strength can be found onl…

I'm gonna play the devils advocate here. Okay. being credible as a man means being there for your girl whens she feels scared. Depends. Is she actually scared? Will talking to her on the phone somehow fix that? I advocate that red pill men discipline themselves and cultivate a sense of reality, which is the polar opposite of bending to everyone's feelings. That's credibility, in the long run. Sure, in just this instance, maybe she feels safer talking to him. But in the long run he's reacting lef…

I agree with the consensus here: Yeah, you lost frame, failed a shit test by treating her like a princess. Not a big deal though since you're in a six month relationship with her. Your thoughts here are all right. Yeah, you care about her, and when you were satisfied that she was safe, you should have just got off the phone and told her that you'd see her later. Just remember that you are the one who should be setting the frame, not her. Her guilt trip doesn't make sense, you know it doesn't mak…

If you love and care for your child then make sure that he has a great role model, friend and adversary to look up to and seek advice from. This is great advice. Everyone should consider their fathers, and think about what makes you think highly of them or not. Generally, if you're alpha, your kids are going to love you, even if you're a bad parent. Sounds contradictory doesn't it? There is no justice in this world, and it doesn't conform to the "dead beat dad" archetype. Having children just mu…

It's all frame. There really isn't a spectrum of "more submissive" and "less submissive" women; there is only a spectrum of stronger and weaker frames. Also, where is your leverage when explaining her behavior is unacceptable? This is a man's view of things, but women don't really understand leverage. Women don't think to themselves, "Oh shit, if I do this, then he's going to do that, and I really don't want him to do that, therefore I shouldn't do this..." That's not how women think. They don't…

I really don't like that thread. First, be careful about the Ben Franklin effect as an explanation: Getting women to do things for your isn't going to cause arousal. It certainly helps for setting frame, but little more than this. Second, here's the thing, if the facts don't fit the theory, then either the facts or the theory is flawed. If the theory is confirmed, then we have to doubt the facts. So consider this when someone posts here with a bunch of anecdotals. Main problem: Guys are really b…

Never do they ever acknowledge they are wrong, and that pisses me off to no end... No sense of justice in general. There no "there" there. That inner code that most guys go by, where we need to make amends, make things right, just doesn't exist for women. They might torture themselves for their own crimes, but doing things out of principle is anathema to them.

the bottom line is you need to start competing. nothing will be handed to you for free, that's the fundamental difference between you, as a man, and the kind of women you like (feminine, pretty). I like this. The red pill, for some, will be realizing that there already is a competition: A competition for women, as well as money, for security, for access, for power. Blue pillers lose by default because they don't realize that they are in a competition. That general sickness of life that they feel…

It's basically a lot of educated guessing. I got into the Red Pill hard core after reading The Red Queen, but the author says pretty strongly that none of this is what you would call rigorously proven science. We aren't saying that women are strongly attracted to dominant men because evolutionary psychology tells us so. We know this from experience, and from game. Evolutionary psychology helps us understand why women are strongly attracted to dominant men, which some of us wonder about.

I think he means that you shouldn't put up with female antics and misbehavoir simply because she is female and is more "emotional." Oh sure. Guess I'm not following the reasoning that suggests that you should be more lax with women because they are more emotional. If anything, the opposite makes more sense to me. Women are emotional, therefore I'm more strict.

Please go on and tell me what good "calling that person out" or what, in concrete, "holding women accountable" means to you. If your idea of circumspection is to engage in pointless shame tactics, then I pity you. First, yes to circumspection. Draw boundaries, have your own laws about what is acceptable and non-acceptable, but this can only work within a condition of hypergamy. You're not going to combat hypergamy through shame tactics, or internet protests, or whatever it is you have in mind in…

I think this is one of those things that distinguishes red pill men and guys who merely have contempt for women, and it's the difference between guys who have accepted the nature of women, and those who haven't. If you're following this narrative of "women need to be held accountable for hypergamy/solipsism/narcissism/etc" then make no mistake, you haven't really taken the red pill. You've spit it out, you hate the taste, and in the end it's really a sort of equalism you're still endorsing: You'…

Yep. Economics and sociology just doesn't make sense if you don't allow that women are emotionally and psychologically different than men. For instance, why do women do most of the shopping? Why are more men criminals? Here's a subject ripe for inquiry: HB migration. Not all women leave their home towns as they get older, but I would postulate that HB's move more often than non-HB women, and this is because they are chasing alpha men. And they are moving to the more powerful cities in the countr…

It is costly in time and willpower cost. Especially the nutrition and not boozing all the time part. It is goddamn hard not to drink 6 beers a day like my dad and all the mature men I know do. Your point is true, but it is a low-cost signal for high status. In other words, it is no longer a strong indicator for possessing high status in society. Never had my testosterone checked, and I'm definitely interested. Is this something that is usually covered under insurance? Do they just draw blood? I'd love to check my testosterone regularly because I'm also going through the P90X program (mainly to lose weight without losing muscle). I read somewhere that your testosterone increases while losing weight, and I want to confirm or disprove this. For reference: 6'1", 30 yrs, 212 lbs. Holy shit that's long. Here's the thing...I would love it if women could find something interesting to talk about that isn't about them. Seriously...I didn't read the whole thing, I was turned off by the length of it, not just bored. A scrolled through to the end and apparently she wrote a whole book about herself. So she's telling women ten years younger to settle, even knowing that ten years ago she wouldn't have settled. Then stupid, hamster reasons why she broke up with each guy.

but that doesn't appeal to every girl (only a certain sub-sect that use the look as a cue) Pretty sure that's what I just said. Yes, I generalize to prevent a 10-paragraph post exploding into a 10 volume document. Gotta read between the lines a little. A healthy body will always be attractive, and in general a fit, healthy body has looked the same over the centuries. Disagree. The difference between the two pictures is purely one of body fat. Bodybuilders in contest-condition look sick because they have abnormally low levels of body fat. In fact, they can usually only maintain that low degree of body fat for a week or so. The rest of the year they look more like the second guy.

Okay guys, let me explain what's going on here. I think some of you guys have the wrong idea. First, remember this: Female attraction doesn't work the way male attraction works. Female attraction isn't nearly as visual as male attraction. She wants a strong guy...someone who can throw her around, and overwhelm her physically. Again, it's not about what your body looks like, but what it feels like. Second, this controversy is really about status. You think it's about looks, but it's not. The look…

Absolutely. My opinion: I like to characterize alpha in three categories: Physique, Dominance, and Status. Alpha physiques generally have an easier time with one-night stands, but can't maintain harems and suck in relationships. Alpha dominants get laid plenty, but have to apply more game, and have a hard time with anything long term. Alpha status can have women throwing themselves at them, but have difficulty generating arousal and have crappy relationships. They have lots of women qualifying t…

I wasn't even thinking about friends with women. I just think that the value of social proof has been underestimated. It's much easier to be alpha if you have a vibrant and high-value social life. Sure, you can fake social proof Mystery-style, but it's easier if you don't have to. In doing so however, you need to pay attention to dominance hierarchies and status. Worse than being beta in a group with alpha's is being in a group with no alphas. If you don't realize that this is a competition, the…

You're assuming she's hot. I seriously doubt that. She's post-wall, has two kids, her hypergamy is out of steam. She'll gradually turn into a cat lady. That's why she doesn't think she's going to be happy. To be fair, radio shows do produce a sort of staging effect. She's getting attention for saying what he, and audience wants to hear, so she embellishes her story to fit the narrative. Two things stand out about her: First, she sounds near-retarded. She's a stay at home mom not only because she's lazy, but probably because she's a failure in the workforce. Second, she married early when she was 17. This is basically before she had a chance to explore her hypergamy. She's probably right that she w…

Glad someone mentioned Sheldon. Don't take Sheldon too seriously, but there is an intellectual type of alpha that certain kind of women definitely have a thing for. That's basically how chivalry works. People don't realize that chivalry was practiced by the nobility, the upper class in Feudal society. Doesn't have the same affect for the average Joe.

Essentially, in the times before feminism, beta's did pretty well. Women wanted them because they were providers and stayed with them because of marriage. Just as an aside, I disagree with this. Betas have never done very well. Just because a guy has a trophy wife, and if societal conditions prevent her from cheating on him, this doesn't mean they have a good sexual life. I don't know about anyone else, I'd rather be single, forever alone, than be in a committed relationship with a woman who doe…

Alpha doesn't mean intelligent or clever. There are plenty of dumb ass alpha's out there. Intelligence isn't a huge turn on for women. But there are plenty of women out there having fantasies of that kind of tough, dominant man who has the balls to walk into a bank with a gun and demand them to hand over cash. It is exactly that gumption, fortitude, strength of character, "confidence", that women fantasize about into the night.

No...listen to this guy. This is why the five date rule is so important...I mean you must have sex by the fifth date. Women can and will string guys along who they aren't sexually aroused by. This isn't necessarily cruelty, especially with teenagers, but ignorance. She hasn't been unlocked yet. Women have a harder time controlling their lust than men do. Work on your game. The Red Pill was made for guys like you. Read lots of Rollo.

The only right answer here. I read "confidence" and I can't help but associate it with the seddit-lite, blue pill version of confidence. Confidence is a symptom of alpha, it's what women look for, and pick up on; but it's not an action. You can't just "be confident". Working on dominance will bring you much closer than working on confidence.

Don't really have one. For men I'd recommend the Art of Seduction for more classic forms of seduction. Asshole game doesn't work on men. Odd, turns out that guys don't actually like assholes, and leave guys who abuse and disrespect them. If women did the same, I wouldn't even be here.

When do sour grapes stronger and more passionately than men do, and are rarely conscious of it. I never trust that the jerks that women tell me about are really jerks. Sadly I think of all the chumps out there who are taken to the bank on dates like this. There are 99 chumps to every guy like this, and odds are good that even this guy is embellishing the story. Careful guys, girls like this are low quality. Don't care how hot she is, no better than a pump n dump. You don't want a relationship with someone with this sort of attitude.

Otherwise, I don't understand why it would upset you. It's called disgust. All respect to gay guys, but this guy isn't even gay. Or he should be. Or he's so beta-submissive that she's gotten this guy to humiliate himself to her sexually. This really has nothing to do with homophobia. I have the same response to the cuckold fetish. Either you're genuinely gay, or you're not. It's in the genes. If you're not gay, you shouldn't be getting fucked in the ass.

Add status to your stature and you should be good. I see hot girls with short, even shorter, guys and this is typically what I've seen. Sorry but being a six-pack alpha isn't going to work for you. Also, I think 19 is the worst age to be a man. You're basically going from high school to college/real world, and for women it's like going from a small pond to the ocean. Hypergamy is a paradox. Strictly speaking, there can only be one, or a few, alpha's in any society. But we're teaching game on how large portion of men can emulate an alpha. So here's the paradox: Alpha's aren't passive aggressive, they're active aggressive. They don't vent about their problems, they deal with them, usually by some sort of violence. Yes, this doesn't work in modern society. But this is why female instincts don't take well to venting, passive aggressiveness, and insecurity. Above…

Sex is a psychological need. Check out /r/Foreveralone for examples. Notice that most of those guys aren't complaining about a lack of companionship, but a lack of sex. They could have lots of nerdy friends, but tear themselves apart at home from pussy deprivation. That said, honestly I think power is higher than sex in terms of ultimate goods. "Nice Guy" was originally a term meant to invoke a bit of cognitive dissonance among women, to get them to look at their own dating histories and note that none of the guys they spent any attention on could be classified as a "nice guy". I think of pre-WWII Japan as a nation that basically lived under a dominant male imperative. Even while we shun the feminine imperative, a dominant male imperative may not be the sort of society that we really want, one that not only forces back female hypergamy, but crushes it altogether. The consequences of such a society, in terms of natural selection, is what Japan is dealing with now: Reduced height, athleticism, penile endowment, and musculature; and since the defeat in WWII by the female …

You're going way too far toward the opposite extreme: Someone, somewhere is going to reject or disregard you - how you react to that (or not at all) is how you are in your whole life. Don't define your life based on rejection. Alpha's don't. They don't even remember, because it wasn't important. So when you get rejected is when your true self shines through Beta philosophy.

Why, though, who really cares if you can pick locks or shave with a straight razor or program in Python? Other men. We've spent so much time trying to attain the respect of women, that we've lost the respect of other men. In male world, we like accomplishing things, significant things, and showing that we can be better at it than the other guy. In female world, they care about status, and status signaling. Men care about winning.

The feminine imperative is evident where speech is censored. The idea that there is a sexual market out there, that there are buyers and sellers, and that this market is as irrational and instinctive as any market (that the other market should rather be compared with this one), it is this rather bland and mundane idea that really isn't permitted in polite society. This prohibition serves its purpose.

So here's the relationship game question: Should you always go for the close with your girlfriend, even if sometimes she shrugs you off? My answer is: Always go for the close. That's been my mistake for a while now. I think I've been afraid of going for the close, because I was reasoning that her shrugging me off was conditioning her to shrug me off more. I also had some silly rationalization that not going for the close was being "aloof and alpha". Sorry guys. Gotta kill that hamster. Here's my…

Yep. The poster made another subtle point that I liked. Look at it this way, the guy who goes around pretending he's a ladies man, even if he's fake, is going to be better off than the guy who tells every pretty girl he meets about his troubles with women, and how he's a decent guy, and just needs to find someone who can appreciate him. As noble as the latter guy sounds, he's probably not going to get laid. Pre-selection is about more than having hot women hanging off your arm.

This is a subject dear to my heart, I just call it ideology. Feminism is a perfect example. For instance, is patriarchy real? A lot of guys are anti-feminist, and balk at the question; and feminists balk at the question too. The reason people balk is the same in both cases: They don't care what the answer is. For these people, what matters about an idea is it's consequences, and ideas are being wielded as weapons to change behavior, alter public opinion, and change policy. When I was younger I w…

Eh, it's not that good really. Their satire is from an anti-market ideology, so they think it's funny that we bread down sexuality into an economic market. But check it out, it's a thing, and it's not just us saying it. The bigger picture is that you can't understand the economy without understanding the sexual market: For instance, the big business of the wedding industry makes no sense if you don't take into account erotic capital. And Machiavelli isn't wrong, and writes from an era before the…

Sure. But Roosh makes the valid point that even if you're going to a fitness club, but ignore most of the machines, classes, spa, steam room, shake bar, etc, you're still paying for it. Here you can go to a basic gym for $30-40/month. "Health clubs" are usually more expensive.

How does it make men "look like girls"? Crossfit, from what I know about it, is essentially the combination of cardio, gymnastics, and olympic weight training. I've never been to a "box"; with the right equipment you can do Crossfit wherever. The gymnastic aspect of it disfavors physiques with low strength/weight ratios, and favors upper body strength. I suspect this avoids bodybuilding-like physiques, which I personally don't consider all that masculine. Bodybuilding is essentially cosmetic.

Learn how to train with free weights. Learn compound exercises. Honestly, you don't really need a gym, you can just make space to train at home. Most of the expensive equipment is unnecessary. Cardio machines are generally not much better than running or other sports. Anything that makes training "easier" is going to be less effective, because training isn't supposed to be easy. do you believe that there are exceptions to the generalities about women? Yes, for two reasons. One, in my opinion, the things we talk about are best seen "writ large", that is, over the whole population. Hypergamy is hard to see unless you look at the whole population of women, and how they choose their mates. I think a lot of this is just paradoxes resulting from the difference between the id and ego. Let's talk about women: The ego is basically a woman's understanding of herself, her feelings, and her actions. The id are her feelings and actions themselves. So when women tell you how she wants to be treated, what kind of guys she likes, what she's attracted to, she's speaking from the ego. But then you notice that the id contradicts the ego. It would be like sarging with your mom: Obviously, your mom is going to screw things up for you, because she instinctively wants to see you protected, she doesn't want you to get hurt, etc. My suggest for the OP: Sarge alone. These friends of yours are going to kee…

Interesting point. Unlike a true alpha male, a bad boy frequently displays beta male qualities like envy, jealousy and possessiveness all of which are rooted in scarcity, insecurity and / or fear of loss. This is a good point. It's true that a lot of "bad boys" also have beta characteristics. Of course, they do better with women than "nice guys" who have those same beta characteristics, but lack the confidence or dominance.

Not really big on people linking to comment threads that they have already participated in. The linked to image says: girls are not made of sugar spice and everything nice girls are made of carbon atoms and lies Not everything that is negative towards women is red pill. I don't subscribe to /r/funny, otherwise I would downvote that one. The only thing really red pill worthy is the classic reddit assumption that anyone who says negative things about women must have trouble with women. This assump…

I know a lot of people are going to be bored by the history lesson, but I think this also helps sort out a confusion: Feminism ≠ Feminine Imperative The feminine imperative is older, and it's the sort of thing that generally always exists as long as there are women in society. Feminism is very recent, and I'd entertain debate as to whether feminism even represents the modern feminine imperative or not. In some aspects, feminism seems to be really an attack by women who lack key female characteri…

Man...it doesn't even sense. I think the red pill interpretation is sound. Consider it from the feminist perspective: I thought they were upset about the objectification of real women? The objectification of sex bots makes sense...they're objects, we treat them as objects. Are feminists defending the rights of anything that looks like a woman now? I have a female friend who is big on the idea that we should be judged on our inner beauty. I objected that if we were to judge everyone on their inne…

I like this one, mainly because I had this problem in my AFC days. Basically, checking out women is generally DLV. There's different ways of looking at it, one is that men are attracted to women at a distance, being visual creatures. In fact, I've read somewhere that men can pretty much determine whether a woman is attractive over very long distances, even better than eyesight alone would suggest. But women aren't visual in their attraction. Seeing you from a distance just isn't doing anything f…

I'm not sure. I kind of think that women just instinctively trust their emotions, I don't think this is something they were taught. Nietzsche wrote something like that a man's sexuality courses all the way up through his intellect. I think the same is true of women. Sexually, women are passive, and so intellectually they are passive too. They are passive in their decision making to their emotions. In decision-making, men feel like conquerors, women feel overwhelmed.

You have a very ideological outlook, as if the mere act of stating the facts is going to make them worse. We're not talking about stereotypes, we're talking about statistics.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
