Very good observation.

If I didn't lie down, I would faint to - it blackened more and more in front of my eyes. Very uncomfortable sensation. After giving birth everything got much better. No fainting and lesser pain during cramps, though much more blood in the first days.

They know about the pain. But they don't know the pain. So many are ignorant and some of them even hurtful and or foolish like the one above.

The pain often gets much better after having a child / giving birth. And my bleeding has changed too, it has gotten very heavy during the first days. But at least the huge pain subsided greatly and is now much more tolerable, so I don't need drugs against cramps anymore.

Of course she IS (not just feels) in charge since he refuses to be in charge of daily, unpaid, bothersome work that has to be done by both!

Lol Op, you are funny :-)). PS: That guy is horrific though... What a repulsive one on such multitude levels. One can only pity the clueless girlfriend.

These were my thoughts too. He manipulated her (and God knows how many women more in the past and future) for a short while and then showed her his true colours in hopes she would be attached enough to him in order to stay for sex. PS: Sadly some of those guys hide their intentions even when women tell them they seek a relationship and nothing else. Their behaviour is even worse with younger women whom they think they can exploit even more easily.

You did yourself a huge favour. Glad that you managed to ditch him when he finally showed you his true colours.

We have to teach already girls (and boys) about this and other form of violences (of course with age-appropriate words and examples given). Make them see and stop it by withdrawing themselves, immediately going away from such men, abuse and violent behaviour.

Exactly. A mother or a dad can help only that much if their offspring grow up in a hostile society and or environment.

Come on, you don't know that... We have to tell people their mistakes made. It's the only way and chance to understanding and improvement.

"Splitting everything", he and many other guys are delusional and ignorant. Next time tell someone like him that even to this day women do up to four times more work in relationships, especially when living together with the guy (household, kids, missed carrier opportunities etc). Men better pamper ladies and throw all their money at the women, relationship and family - or else men will become quite obsolete and "relationshipless" in future.

Good that you did. He might have learnt something important about women and his faulty treatment of women.

I read an article once about studies that revealed that most guys cannot envision / comprehend / understand / fathom the fear and caution women have to experience and exercise on a daily basis in order to stay safe. Most of the guys are completely clueless...

I think he is very insecure in reality, hence the arrogant, demanding tone. Poor socialisation, huge insecurity, all mixed with anxiety.

I'm German, and he's clearly an idiot...

What if your declined health is a consequence / result of your poor marriage and hurt feelings. Our body, mind, psyche and soul are strongly connected. They depend on each other. When one is being treated badly (either by yourself or others), the rest suffers as well.

"Men are men, their nature and attitudes towards me won’t change when I get “hot”." You have no idea... Bye then and take care.

An ex was also porn addicted (just one among other issues of his - like alcohol and cigarettes). That had its many negative side-effects. Although very heartbroken back then about how things ended (he pretty much ghosted me, no closure, no explanation), I'm glad now that that relationship didn't last more than one year... I shudder every time I think back.

Right?! But I guess Bradley Cooper was her temporary dream, till it vanished into thin air because of his fears of ending like Brad Pitt and the (bad) press.

So all the times you two emailed privately, there was "no problem" with his boss... Just suddenly tough he "remembers" that his boss might read your texts. He is pathetic and ridiculous.

Lol, exactly. I don't have a ring on my finger, so people could easily assume I'm a single mom - and oh boy do I turn all kinds of heads when e.g. running with my baby through the park. My advice is be yourself, stay in shape, keep your health up, then many opportunities and chances will come up.
