Similar vein, what about girls who remember facts you ONCE told them? Like the second time we talk they'll say "Yeah I remember you said that before"....

Here's a tip, it's what works for me when I'm bored. Find an interesting problem you wanna solve, and learn code as a way to solve it. Like i wanted a chrome extension to do something that didn't exist, learned how to code etc

Gonna go out on a limb here and say its because men are driven to create. Procreate is one aspect, but that's why they follow leaders. Leaders promise them the ability to create something lasting and that's s deep need for men. Social skill and charm are vital parts of being a leader. I might be an ottermode midget but if I can get the mobs on my side I don't give a hoot how ripped you are. That's why women are drawn to game, game is the root of social value. It's how you cultivate it

No, dude, YOU made it about manners. It's your ego that refuses to own up to your mistake. I'd have been only too happy to help you out, which is patently visible from the fact that I was the first one to post a response to your question. I don't need to help you out at all, bro. I got plenty of other people I can help, even here in Asktrp. And if that's not obvious, fuck right off to your circle of people who will jerk your ego off.

No, dude. Learn some manners. You're asking someone for their help, an order is not the way to go about it. That's basic courtesy, and your attitude shows that to be severely lacking. If you can't see the difference between someone's ego being stroked and showing them respect, you'll suffer for it later, and my help is out of the question.

I think you meant to ask me to rephrase it, not tell me. Remember, I'm doing you a favor by answering. Be polite.

Because you've convinced yourself that it's true. You've pedestalozed the men who slay and th women who you wish you could fuck. But when did it become such a big desk to you to do all this? Women are now your dragon, you have to slay to get your princess, which is really the version of yourself on the other side. I could be projecting though.

Look, I get your advice about pretending to not be ethnic to get laid. But if ethnic guys keep compromising their standards and allowing such behavior to be acceptable, the treatment continues. The second a girl says something like that to me my interest is dead. If you want a ton of lays, you can treat this as a shit rest, but if you're looking for anyone who's a prospect, this isn't a red flag, it's a black flag, grounds for instant dismissal.

Definitely Machiavellianism. Been on TRP for three years, the problem is that I keep running into these situations with people I know well, likely family, and feeling that I shouldn't descend to their level, but my ego is hurt,a lot. I wouldn't do it if they didn't, I only want to manipulate to parity or my understanding of it. Never find myself wanting to really manipulate of my own volition, but my own morals and fear of being found out by people who have been doing this for years, is what pre…

How do I learn this? I need this, I don't want to give up for dumb reasons, and it's happened one too many times and I usually have an emotional reaction and feel bad or outraged rather than getting the result I want

Good: Been working well and socializing a lot at work. Up at 5:30 to git the gym before. Work is interesting and I'm learning a lot. Down: evening time hasn't been super productive, tried to study but with the early wakes I'm just too damn tired, been working on some music though. Health hasn't improved significantly with the job affecting my shoulders. Emotion control isn't too great, social life needs some work but has improved. Still in my head a lot, nofap day 5.

I want to know how to make platonic friendsships with women, because I tried to go from incel to player without knowing how to be normal around girls. I'm not trying to date right now at all, just to be myself, accept who I am and not feel ashamed of that around hot girls. But right now, even if i'm just trying to open a convo with some cute chick at the cofeee machine I get nervous. I don't know how to have female friends. Where do I begin

A girl who opens with if you're paying? Strike nine right there. If she says it, its over. If not, I might pay on my own. Is she a friend? In general, you should reject in a tension avoiding way, not just a blank no. Like busy, or too far I'm lazy, or something. This seems unsuave and unlikely to succeed.

It's a fucking month, don't cheat till then. Break up after. Get with New girl. Dude, you guys are overdoing this masculine man thing, would it kill you guys to holster your dick and be a nice person? She's not a plate. This is an ltr. Who cares what she prefers? As a man of principle, decide what you're doing regardless of her. Care about her? Wait till then. Not because she would want it. But because you know it's best for you guys.

I get this post. The only way to move on is to remember awalt but trust yourself to find a good one. Imbibe the horror stories but don't let that cloud the idea that you might find a good girl. You're way too young. Wait at least till 28-30 before kid, gotta solidify career.

I really want to disagree with you. But then again, a lot of you have encountered women who are actually like this. Man, y'all are fucked. No wonder everyone's so paranoid over here

If you think moving in was a mistake, congratulations. You may have escaped that without losing the good stuff. Hit her up like normal, try and act normal, you're coming over, wear something nice, etc. Set a frame of I've moved out but things are still kosher. If she rebels, it's done. If not, you're good to go. Much like I'll deal with My little sister. Still smile and be normal, but she can't have my iPad anymore. She lost that privilege, but otherwise things are chill

Racism stems from either hating an unknown, or the people strongly disliking it after it becomes known. It's a fallacy to say an area isn't racist, the people are - the people comprise the area, and this is self evident. That said, some areas are more likely to be racist than others. Is a smaller village in Texas likely to be more racist than Austin? Absofuckinglutely

Keep working, the objective is to get better with girls in generAl, not just one gf. What if you lose her? What next? You'll need to keep sharp. Don't think about the results. Trust the process and you'll get there.

He has done interesting beliefs, many that I find weird or downright delusional. But he's right about this. Stage one is when you listen to the evidence and form a Theory based on facts. Stage two is analyzing how do I feel about this and why? Final stage is how am I going to proceed in light of the results from stages one and two. If you let emotion get into stage one, you can't learn from it. If you force yourself to feel something else, you can't analyze the why you feel that way part.

In general, once you see it you can't unsee it. I can't enjoy things as much anymore because I'm too busy observing, noticing and...seeing people as humans rather than "individuals/souls/whathaveyou". But that's my fault, and my cross to bear.

Who's knowingly living with a guy who wants her that she doesn't want back, and who constantly brings home guys to fuck. So? What's she supposed to do about that? No mention that she's leading him on, so no foul there. This isn't some virtuous woman that OP ruined. How did you get this? It doesn't follow logically from your previous statement. Only thing that might stand for your statement is being willing to go raw. Update: Too many! stands to explain it some more. Fair point, if by virtue you …

The closest thing someone would try to say was 'tricking' her was saying he didn't have a condom to test her slut level. That's no trick, is it? It's a way for him to see how suitable she is. He didn't lie about no condom to raw-dog her. What he could have done, is refuse to fuck her, and hence not be a part of her history of poor decisions. Sure, it is a disadvantage for him, but in the long run, it might mean something.

Do you believe there's nothing we can do to stem the bleeding? Or do you think anything you do, will be done alone, and if no result is coming out of it, you might as well play for the small benefit you get from fucking her? You may have answered my question partially.

I don't understand one thing, OP. You say you can't fix her. That's fine, she has to fix herself - anyone else can only help. Then you say, it's not my job. I'm not sure why you say this, because it is increasingly seeming like most people on TRP are using this to avoid taking on a girl who may have problems of her own. But if everyone acts this way, this kinda resembles capitalism, no? The people who are okay get okay-er, and the ones who are messing up continue to do so. Don't give me the logi…

I've seen this garbage. Just one overly dramatic special snowflake blaming everyone but herself for her poor decisions. If you see a snake biting 5 people, don't fucking expect yourself to be treated any different - you're not special. She breaks this rule a million times and blames the world for it. I tried that once. She was attractive enough for me to actually make eye contact, but not to the point where my instincts would take over. I did it for the experience, but I felt weird throughout. If you're not attracted, and you're not used to the moves you might find it harder to pull them off at all. It felt metallic, ya know? Robotic. I wasn't in the moment at all. My 2c

Besides, why are u deciding who she can fuck? If she's doing it in front of me, you bet I will be looking out for her. Is he good for her is going to be my assessment. Are u gonna decide also whether she can dump her boyfriend or not? Oh no, wait, that's ok, she can do as she wants there, right? Will I tell her what I think? Certainly. Will I guide her down the path I think is best for her? Definitely. Will I make her decision for her? No. I'll act in her best interests, always.

^ Yes. She is still your sister, and while OP does not seem to give a flying fuck about his own blood, I do, and so do you. Remember, you are the patriarch. Any man who wants to date your little sister or your daughter must prove himself worthy to you, and you will look out for her. /r/askTRP23/04/17 09:18 PM

Depends on why. If you want her to fuck you, then yes, it's probably beta. If she's your friend, and you want to help her out, then it's probably not. Things aren't black and white IRL

Dude, you posted this same damn question not one week ago, and I replied very patiently. Stop asking the same question over and over - seems like you're not looking for an answer, you're looking for someone to validate your prior beliefs. What was the point of asking it then? Look, if you don't like your area, move. If you can't, suck it up and play your game. Can't have it both ways.

Self improvement makes you feel better, but not really accomplish anything (in the sense of just doing things somewhat blindly for improvement). Now going out and getting shot down by girls reveals your weaknesses. You have to cut out the rotted weakness to realllly fast track improvement. So self destruct. Go out. Let your ego shatter and your beliefs be more in alignment with the world.

You know, as much as NYC sucks, I have heard some say that the European women in NYC might be more open to going for us while local white women are the ones that hate us. Absolutely, since EU white chicks don't have a terrible preconceived notion of Indian guys, and also because there aren't as many Indian men there to give them one. Where have you done the best btw? I am curious. Texas, go to a big city like Austin, if you go to UT even better.

Any place where there's a surplus of FOBby Indian guys and/or a shortage of white chicks. FOBs tend to give the rest of us a terrible name, so you must stand head and shoulders above the rest to overcome that prejudice. Rule out the Bay, and NYC for starters. You'll do well in the midwest, and Texas (white girl surplus) or Florida (Indian guy shortage). I'm Indian too, so here's my stance on this (work in progress). It doesn't matter how many people I get blown out with. The objective is somethi…

Exactly. How do you get abundance in the first place? I think I need a social group tbh. Join salsa or something. In school, I was doing 2-5 a day through daygame. Some went really well, some went poorly. But it got easier because no stakes. I wish I'd known all that sooner. I was depressed for so long that it was so damn mentally hard to do it at all. I don't know about that. On a football team, if the captain's ideas/plays are NOT the best, you should be calling it as you see it. Not "trust in a bigger plan". You don't tell a girl how to act, you pick a girl who acts in a way that you like to begin with. I had some family alphas tell me that that isn't always possible. There are some guys who will sleep with ANYTHING. Fat/ugly/easy. But only for pure sex. I can't tell you what they are like. You need to find that out by yourself. Sure as hell wouldn't get into a relationship with an ugly girl. Pretty sure that goes for any guy. Bodes well for you that you're on here seeking the truth. It's painful, but that's where true progress lies - when you skip the sweet lies for the bitter truth.

You're on a subreddit where MOST guys weren't slept with in high school. Many here are virgins into their thirties, too. Doesn't matter what was wrong with you in high school, though it can hurt to look back. Does it sting me? From time to time. Would I let that ruin my life now? Nope. Honestly, why didn't you get action in high school? Be completely honest, either here with me or to yourself. It's just really hard not to feel bad about yourself. While that's true, you won't get a lot of support…

Having sex 1000 times with one guy is 1000 times better than having sex with a 1000 guys. You can be experienced without being a ho. Women in RPW (and I have nothing against RPW) don't seem to understand that the reason I find it hard to vet a guy and have sex with a partner is because of the fear of comparison to other sexual partners and ex girlfriends and it drives my insecurity through the roof - so isn't it only logical to level the playing field so that's no longer an issue? Guys who compa…

You're not wrong, but the level of fear mongering in your post is wrong. If a guy has some minor problem with his girl. the solution isn't "DUMP HER SHE'S A HO". Firstly- LDR's do not work. Life is not like a movie. Get off your sith train, life isn't written in absolutes. They take a megaton of work, and might here because he took her virginity. He's been with her through a ton of shared experiences, and big ones at that. PLUS, this is a mentally ill girl. Those run slightly different to the no…

I have no idea how to undo 25 years of "sex is bad" conditioning to the part where they're open to trying more than just vanilla. The real problem is finding the good wife, not creating the super slut. IDK about that. Arranged marriages happen around a social circle. Traditionally raised women who come to the US have usually dressed conservative, and do not know what it's like to receive information and be in a largely sex-positive society. Some withdraw and these are likely good for marriage. The rest will embrace it and join the CC. Get crazy sex vs get a good wife. Dichotomy. Very unlikely for there to be both.

She isn't entitled to your secrets/issues. If you once sucked a dick and don't want to share about it, don't. But if she's a good girl and your LTR, you'll want to share more with her than just a friend. The more serious you guys are, the more you'll need to open up. Where you draw that line is up to you. As a rule of thumb, the closer I am with someone the more they'll know how I think. That's a powerful tool in the wrong hands. Be judicious.

Trust the process is HARD, because there's a fine line between trusting the process to make improvements vs not introspecting enough and making changes as needed. When it's your body and the gym, feedback is in the form of sharp pains that don't go away. Don't get into pre optimization and don't ignore the feedback either. Life is all about the right balance for you, I think.

If you mostly have all your shit handled (top grades, always emotionally under control, can handle a crisis, etc.) then on occasion you can open up/shed a tear if the situation warrants it (anniversary of dead pet/broken leg, etc.). If you're going to her for emotional support, stop. Don't. Not anymore. And the longer it's been, the more resistance you'll face from her when you do withdraw.

i think it's because when your personality is changing and being molded, it makes sense to try it out somewhere there is no real consequence. and once it solidifies more, in front of people who will test your frame harder.

Yep, I unlearnt these things when shit happened in my life. I took TRP too seriously and became a paranoid socially-backward a little guy because I was scared of people taking more advantage of me. Focus ONLY on now, and progressing from day to day. It's really painful if you look at all the coulda shoulda-s. Don't.

Congrats on the progress. I know how hard it can be. I don't have issues with strangers, I have issues with people I see more than once. Because I can't walk away from them if shit goes south. Keeping my mind occupied and busy helps. Shutting out fictional media helped too (when you don't know how to behave socially, and are actively learning don't learn from fake people because they don't share context with you). Not listening to music when I lift or venture out (staying present) as well.

I completely understand this. After TRP and some very bad interpersonal relationships I find myself always in third-person mode, analyzing what everyone does. I withdreew socially a bit because I didn't know how to deal with the pain and TRP convinced me I shouldn't admit weakness either. Learn to make small talk first and get a social group. The point of small talk is to find people who you can get along with when you're not diving deep and are just dicking around ie. you in a generally good mo…

It gets easier. I used to lose my smile mid sentence because I was so tightly wound from the idea that I 'need to get this number because she's attractive'. Yesterday I opened a chick telling her that even though she was tall she couldn't be my soulmate unless she was also scared of closed spaces. The point is, I wake up every day still hearing that 'daygame is weird', 'you are awkward and stilted', and 'this is why youre 25 and single', but I've been hearing it less and less over the last 6 mon…

I've had similar thoughts. Oneitis for a being with an agency of it's own is more dangerous, but you can still pedestalize anything. I pedestalized soccer, and when I sucked due to injury, I was caught in a dilemma - I know i suck and i hate sucking, but i can't get better without going through the suck. Hating myself for sucking makes it even worse. Pedestals suck, unless your love is really pure, like you want that field or that person to succeed regardless of whether you get credit or are cel…

Cold approaching pua style is a poor choice. Rsdtyler and rsd Todd both had to transfer schools because of it. Source? I did not know this, do you have any further information? I've been cold approaching almost exclusively on campus, but what do you mean pua-style? I've never had any weird circumstances, but in light of possibly new evidence I might have to rethink things. This guy is right, OP. I'm at university, and it can work, but under certain conditions: 1. You are unlikely to encounter the same people ever again. 2. You keep changing location. 3. You're not really bad at it, and you don't act super weird. I cold approach mainly at university, and I do it because I'm graduating in 3 months, and there are 40000 people. I'm calibrated enough to know when to fuck off as well. Keep these in mind.

Yeah, it's like talking to a crying woman as a beta. She will reject your attempt to reframe because she knows she cannot surrender to your arms and just 'know' everything will be ok. You are not alpha. You are not a worldbreaker just yet. You are alpha when she is willing to surrender to you.

Sometimes I get this feeling too. Moment of doubt, coincidentally something happens irl that seems like there's a message I haven't received yet. I think it's more that this theory was always close to the surface for you and when a situation happened that could be explained by this, you (guilt, maybe?) brought this to the fore and let you learn a lesson that hadn't yet been done.

It's always the beginning parts which are the hardest. The performance curve gets waaaay better once the initial part settles in. I'm a bit more pushy than that, if they don't volunteer their name , I will ask. (People in an insular group will act like that, so will people who generally think they're better). I try to show interest or banter, and that'll show me how cool they are. Some people aren't in to socialize, that's cool. You could be completely wrong or right, but your tone implies you're suggesting something obviously true. Don't do that here. A lot of people will take what you're saying as the whole truth. It could be a power play, or it could just be honest - she can't do better, and is also a good enough person to be supportive. I've seen people who did both - turned it around saying "You can't leave me I was there for you" or those who realised it wasn't a contract.

Meh, TRP made me paranoid as all hell, but it also alerted me to the nature of the world. It was my own fault for treating TRP as a step by step rulebook to success and being absolutely true as opposed to making it a point to understand context. Back then, I don't think they cared as much to ask this question. So what if it was terrible? Big deal, she's a good mom, opens her legs when I need her to, and isn't an annoying pain in the ass when I'm tired. We've made sex an increasingly big deal, I think.

Correct, and this was the idea behind the whole thing - women met someone early whom they've already formed an emotional and physical connection to, and since they didn't work they didn't meet many other men. So options were limited and risk/reward ratio was very high. If you've never had something, you can't compare it.

I think I know the rationale behind this - before they demonized it, sex was just another thing. It wasn't that big a deal, men were too busy largely building empires, amassing fortunes, and fighting wars. They didn't have sex because it wasn't honored or hated, it just was and wasn't a big deal the way you wouldn't talk about eating steak, it's just food and an essential drive. Yeah. On some level being a leader means you accept the group as it is, and make up the extra where you can. Is it harder than being a follower? Yep, but you should do it because you WANT to. Some people aren't leaders - they can be, but won't. . I think that was the point of the small family unit - let every man be the leader of a group that looks to him to lead.

I still think it's wrong, but since it's my house I have no real 'authority' to do anything. I can't tell him to GTFO. That's my deal, if he decided to escalate I can't say with impunity that I'll not have that in my house so gtfo.

I get what you mean. I still want heads to turn, want guys to look up to me and women to look at me with desire. I want to know I've got it. What helps is that I validate myself, after each little success. In front of a mirror, and in my diary. I can see tangible progress in my mental strength now. Whose validation do you want? Randoms or some specific people? If it's the latter, remember, they're not that important. if it's randoms, remember, that's a small milestone but NOT an important one. J…

My theory is that my major injury (due to failing a rep on the leg press) caused some sort of imbalance, which is fucking me up in a bunch of other ways. But I cant seem to find anyone to actually help me figure out how to fix this. Strongly, strongly agree with this theory - source, been there myself and figured it out the long and hard way over the last 16 months. Went from no leg day and can't run to playing intramural soccer and ass to grass squats. As far as the situation goes, I gotcha bud…

Friend in an LTR, her BF is fiendishly devoted to her. Tried to pill him, he accepted everything and said that's ok, if not her, no one. She dumps him and decides to lose weight, but whenever they get back together she makes him take her to fancy restaurants. She'll admit it out loud that she needs to be more fit when single to get a new guy.

-Miserable, and unable to understand why people are the way they are. - Always see the good in people and never understand their true motivations. - Forever have pussy on a pedestal, and forever consider myself inferior for not being perfect. -Always complaining about things, instead of living in reality and seeing what I can control and what needs to be let go of. My life is way better now, my clarity of thought and purpose eclipse anyone I've ever met. And I'm just getting started.

Yo, I had two slipped discs at 18. One cervical and one lumbar, made my life hell for a few years. Lumbar gave me some sciatic nerve issues on my left side. Things I did that helped for lumbar: 1. Stretches, every single day. 2. No bed/mattress, sleep on a thin bedsheet on the floor and use a comforter. 3. Very careful posture and I changed me chair so I wouldn't slouch, which made it worse. 4. No gaming, limit computer time to whenever absolutely necessary only. When I started lifting and dedic…

Ok, basic questions: Height? How long you been lifting? What about you do you think is ugly? Where I'm from they don't blow you off, they give you a number and never respond. In fact, TRP and other PUA gurus tell you to remove the results aspect of approaching from your mind, so to me all of it is very pointless. Uh uh, they mean approach so you get better at it - not approach with the goal of a number. For each blowout, pay careful attention to how they react. Are you coming on by surprise? Are…

I've felt this, sometimes I don't care about winning or losing, it's all the thrill of the hunt. I can appreciate a good win/loss if the opponent was worthy. Playing vs the best makes you better. I'll almost always be grinning after getting beaten, especially if it's something like soccer/football/b'ball where I get another chance to guard that guy/take him on. Strauss is right. I reached the same conclusion on my own. In idealised terms (rather, how it SHOULD BE): When you're young, your mom provides emotional support and comfort, but not solutions. I think the issue with OP is that he's taking a black and white stance on a ton of greys, as the red pill is often wont to do. But most newcomers coming here do not realise how to figure out when black and whites are necessary and when not. To people who've been around, its evident that experienced hands such as you mean to exaggerate. I'm not so sure about the newer guys, anyway. Do they mean it as hyperbole? Or is their black and white model just what they believe in?
/r/TheRedPill11/06/16 03:44 PM
2

I didn't say anything beyond chemical imbalance, because I don't know much more than that. Drugs and therapy help - and I know that OP's wrong about those. You cant know what came first, the chemical imbalance or the depression. The human body is a complex chaotical system where everything effects everything and reductionist models will always come up short. Hmm
/r/TheRedPill11/06/16 03:40 PM

And it’s ridiculous that therapy is even a thing for those who are depressed. Talking out your feelings like a fucking puss bag can only take you so far. This exposes that you plainly know nothing of depression. Real depression is NOT 'wah wah my life sucks my feelings hurt'. It's a chemical imbalance, not merely unhappiness with life. And for a lot of people who grew up with abuse, therapy is helpful to change the way they see themselves. Don't step on it just because it wasn't necessary for yo…

Not because they're capable of worse, that's still men, but because they will literally stop at nothing to get the outcome they desire. Perfectly great guy, veteran, war hero, family man, community chief? None of that matters when a women 'feels' rejection. Tar and feather him, sit him on the back of a donkey and parade him through town. For a woman, emotions are her 'crack'. Who needs roid rage when you can get it from fe…

Misses her family. Wishes she were dead. I wonder if she'd have felt any of those things had she not seen the pregaming photos with girls with better tits, better asses and way more style. Brilliant. Much respect for all such dedicated fathers. He said that he's going to say his piece because the words wouldn't be wasted; they'd sink in either today or in ten years, but either way, they'd sink in. That's what fathers do - they give you the knowledge not because you'll use it today, but because you'll use it someday. Spot on. Minor tears. I agree. The twist ending is what beta america needs, to watch their underdog win against all odds. Hell, even I was rooting for the underdog. But that's the part where there's a break from reality - IRL, Chad takes your family and breaks your mind and spirit, if you let him. Be the best version of yourself, with a certain Chadness about it.

Two questions: Are your friends really that good for you if they want you to give up a good thing for a few nights out? Selfishness isn't all bad, but this is self interest with a known-and-ignored-downside for you. Are you being completely honest with yourself when you say that 'pressure from GFs is the only reason I'd go?' If yes, it's on you to find a way to ignore them. If no, then you have another rabbit-hole to go into.

Most of the men there (not indicative of larger trends) say they'd refuse to play. That they'd answer and never see the girl again. In past days, generations used to give respect as an initial offering and be shown respect in turn. Between the betas who offer too much and the initial douchebag alphas who offered too little, the meaning of that initial decency has fluctuated. Now you can only afford to offer decency, or you lose skin in the game.

Nope, women are the most responsible children/teenagers, and the teen years are feared for a reason. Rebellion for its sake, disagreement in some fool's notion of freedom, etc. All women behave like children. Men I suppose are more susceptible to survivor's guilt as well(see Rollo Tomassi's War Brides article); women are capable of compartmentalising to maintain their mental state. Frame is the mindset with which you approach any interaction. You're right in that it's a framework of communication, but a frame is unilateral. I went to a party this weekend, as one of the medium to higher smv males. This was a dance party, and I was high smv because talent. It would have been very convenient to have read this post a week ago, as it stands I struck out with the highest smv female at mine. Should have gone passive instead of assertive.

It's close to impossible to just 'decide' to do away with your old self and be done with it. Worked for you, great. Your old habits become nearly instinctive if they've been around for even a little while and take time to unlearn before you can relearn.

Strictly speaking, the patriarchy is responsible, considering that they did take a long time to emancipate women/to give them any opportunities outside of housework and a few basic jobs here and there. Not that I disagree with your ideas. Your article points out some interesting insights into the working of the human brain, you should use them in a more detailed article.

Let's get it stickied. I hope that's not a satirical post - the title could go either way, honestly and it would confuse the everlasting fuck out of newcomers.

That's a false dichotomy - neither is the idea true. By telling my friends I'm not cool with what they're doing, I don't automatically choose to side with their enemies. If we can work out this misunderstanding, it's better for all of us. We're ok with their being some rules - we want to know what they are, and who they apply to. Different sets of rules are fine - once again, as long as they're clear, not overly disparate, and stuck to.

Good post - but I strongly disagree with this idea: If you can't read F9R's post, "Looks are everything", and realise that he meant "Looks are important" then you need to work on your critical thinking skills because that shit is obvious. I agree with the message. I agree with the use of hyperbole to not only draw attention to the post (absolutes are more attractive headlines) but also to make a point. However, for lurkers, it is very often NOT obvious that these are hyperbolic. We should make i…

Love this post, and I enjoyed the previous one as well. When the victims are entire groups of people who have been equally dealt an "unfair hand," we look to them to try and architect a world of equality. This is the problem with democracy itself, and the 'reservation system' implemented some countries. Yes, it is a nice attempt to make their life better, but when the hand that is fed begins to bite the feeding hand, consequence must be enforced to punish, not placate. I still believe in the nob…

Fortuitous that this post comes out on the same day I read an asktrp post about this and ponder the same question. Everything is sexual strategy. Even if it doesn't seem like sexual strategy, it'll be indirectly related to it whether you want it to be or not. Oscar Wilde, paraphrased. When you do it for a girl you tell anyone who might have a problem with you "here is how to destroy me." Tell a girl you worked out to be more attractive to her. If she's still impressed, you're a liar.

Which blows, because I can never be myself around anyone. Except on TRP. Where friendships don't count and conversations don't mean shit. These are the conversations I want to be having with real people. There are even people who'll listen to your feelings, but tell them the truth about how you see the world and you've given them access to your mind. TRP has shown me the faults in my previous behavior with women but has stunted my social front. Yeah, that's pretty accurate. I believe this is due to the fact I had never put the words to my behavior because I was always doing what came natural to me. With TRP, I can now label my behavior. And labeling makes it easier to tell whether said behavior is one you wish to keep or to purge. I used to make self deprecating jokes around women, it was easy to talk to them that way. TRP showed me that's b…

I've done a lot of things since the start of my TRP career. So that's hard to pin-point. Give me an example. I'm looking for asshole-ish behavior that I can try to implement. You can't change the hand you were dealt. Feeling like shit when things aren't fair is normal (but eventually you should stop this too), expecting that life WILL become fair by some mysterious circumstance is foolish. Nice post, I like the insights. A little litmus test to see whether you're a nice guy or not: When you're offering something, think about what your reaction will be if it's declined. If your reaction is anything of pain or anger, you're caretaking, not genuinely giving. Caretaking is when you are providing for the sake of providing and not with the aim of alleviating or helping. Caretaking is from a place of scarcity, caring and true niceness are from a position of abundance.

Once a beta, always a beta is like a frog in gradually heated water. If the change is too minimal to notice, you'll remain a beta. Easiest way to change your status in her eyes from beta to alpha is to go off radar and that way the progress is much more visible when you're back. If you can ask her, and handle the rejection, go for it. Don't make it weird. If she says no, accept it gracefully. But as /u/abdada has said, she's seen you at your weakest. You're projecting. A woman saying 'get to know you' is almost always different from a guy saying it - a guy means it literally, a woman figuratively. You're interpreting it as a guy would read a text from another guy. Ask her what she's looking for. Who knows, maybe she's fun enough for you to like her for outside her HB status alone. Maybe she's going to be a platonic friend. Possibly a wingwoman. Point is, go into this with an open mind, that opens the most possible doors.

First off, how are you inclined to react? Ie., what's your natural reaction? I do not know how to take compliments. I tend to be uncomfortable and doubt how genuine they are. I once promised I'd pay for sublime text, IllimitableMan's work, and now this. 2 down, I'll pay for this too. Edit: Mods, we owe you all, ECs and plebs alike. Bravo, bellissimo!

Put your pitchfork down. While u/razorwan is being quite skeptical, don't expect a free meal from anyone, even Elon Musk. It is a very real possibility that Musk is in the same thought-class as Da Vinci (masters who truly care only for forward-progress), but it would be unwise to suggest that his motives are above question. A role model he may be, but an altruist? Much less likely.

You're thinking the right way, albeit in a more cynical manner. "Whenever you see altruism, question its motives" - is how you learn to read the machinations of those whose techniques and maneuvering seem otherwise obscure. While it is possible that he is a pioneer at heart similar to Da Vinci, it would be foolish to rule out business motives as anything less than ancillary to the overall picture.

Correct, this is what I got out of it too. I got the feeling that she would have been more open about it had Baby not been on his side and correctly interpreted this as a volcano-waiting-to-blow-up. She didn't back down even a little and this seemed like a straight up power play. I expect Conan would have folded in mock (but real) deference and forced her to smile to the audience, but Stewart recognizes this as the frame-grab this is and refuses to back down. Interestingly, it seemed as though S…

Yeah, this sums it up concisely. When women talk about a letter from Chad, they salivate and so does their pussy; taming the alpha, if you will. When it's from Billy Beta, she feels happy because she is reminded that she is Indeed Special. Who wrote it? "IDK, one of those orbiting betas".

Here's the deal - there will always be a Chad better than you in some way. You might not have the resource/ability to change that. Confidence comes from in you - knowing that Chad A is perhaps better than you at activity A, Chad B is better than you at activity B, etc. The point is, you are a unique combination of what you provide, the sum of your life, your thoughts, your experiences, and you have to trust in that no one can do 'MrRaspberryJamz' like you can. For a more actionable plan, look in…

Good analysis, this is what I noted as well. Honestly, to learn about Machiavellianism, study not only his articles but how he is, himself; on the site or elsewhere. I've learnt plenty by observing IM. Edit: At the risk of nitpicking, the last few lines in his comment involve snark, followed by goodwill. What's your overall measure of the message? Positive. Neatly done.

I didn't quite understand the Book of Five Rings. Quite possibly due to lack of sufficient background.

For all that talk of abuse, when did we start conflating lack of bullcrap-tolerance to abuse? My grandfather barely paid my grandmother any attention outside of his evening coffee and meals. She knew his role as the alpha provider and he knew it too. I've never seen him tolerate her misbehavior, and he worked 12 hours a day to ensure a house over their backs and 3 square meals a day. Men were born, forged, and remained tough. Not like the pussy-whipped little boys of today still looking to suckl…

Why would women hate the behaviors that attract them? And why would men hate the behaviors that attract women? Women don't know what truly attracts them, because it's hard to see clearly when you're weak and the knees and your underwear is moist and looking for that cock to get off on. Because men are all in the feminine frame and no one is seeing for himself. Something I'm slowly coming to appreciate is the value of being skeptical. Your mother feeds you nonsense on how to pick up girls, but yo…

The nebulous dichotomy I never understood: Are you not alpha enough or is it her code? Do you wait or not? By pumping and dumping the few good girls that are left, we are ruining them for posterity. What does a good girl do? Hold off, and lose the man who made her tingle vs. Offer her pussy and realise she will be regarded as easy and not LTR worthy?

Shoot first, ask questions later. Seems like a typically SJW move, or something a little spoilt brat would do. Do something you know is unsound, then when faced with the consequences, say "Well I said I was sorry!". Then blame the others for not accepting your apology and cry till the betas back down. Win. Repeat.

Milo is such a fucking boss. Clever use of that compliment to completely take the wind out of her sails. I admire the cut of his jib. Even when he's being interrupted, look at his face. Amused irritation, as if he's waiting for her to shut the fuck up so he can finish his declamation.

Fantastic, yet fundamental. Easy to construe attachments as only to material possessions. One can just as easily be ego-invested in a school of thought, in an achievement, or other intangible sources of pride and belonging.

You are projecting, based on the way you see the world. This isn't necessarily a bad thing insofar as it is quite accurate. Men do hang with other men purely for the joy or entertainment they gain from said association (could be considered a gain as well) but you don't always have to earn your place with a group of men. With women, expect it to be true almost always. Will you be respected more for contributing outside of your presence or witticisms? Probably. TL;DR - Utiility is a sufficient but…

The heaviest door is a metaphor for your innermost secrets, your fears and desires and weaknesses. The ones that women purportedly want to hear, but will never respond with anything other than a shift in behavior and a noted dryness in the nether regions. Do not share everything you feel, fear and think with her. She will only be turned off. Better explained here: http://illimitablemen.com/2015/06/01/the-hierarchy-of-love/ For a woman to know your innermost, she must have proven herself to you o…

when I cannot adequately perform basic tasks. The definition of basic tasks is "basic" from their frame of reference. In your case, this isn't basic. Expect a formerly-deaf man to understand how sound is proportional to distance? Ridiculous. The situation may not be the best, but it is what it is. Own it, and let no one show you up for it. Use machines for lifting. How about bodyweight exercises? Plenty of other hobbies you can take up. Trekking, a ball-based sport like football or basketball. M…

Rape is traumatic as fuck, I don't know for sure that she has or hasn't based on what you've said. That said, the idea of her leaving on another vacation is fishy at best, downright suspicious at worst. It may be her family's way of helping her cope. Proceed with the pressing charges part. See how that turns out. I'd give it a chance, but either way she's probably not worth the trauma she'll cause YOU if you stay. 1. She was raped, and you'll be subject to all sorts of shit and crazy comfort tes…

You are correct. Most men do not know better; they're the wolves who think that sheep's clothing makes them a sheep. Either they live that way and wonder why the sheep treat them different, or they awaken and shed their skin. We don't hate betas, we either pity them or ignore them outright. You are either altruistic(in this case, retarded) enough to try and change them, or you are more self interested and would rather let them figure it out on their own.

Conventional wisdom believes in rainbows, unicorns, and fairytale weddings. It's malarkey. They can't(or rather, won't) attribute this to the idea that someone could actually be born with a cruel streak. It's much less of a cognitive dissonance to the idea of the-world-is-good. Hence, the plebs endorse the idea of " The only way someone would hurt you is if they were hurt in turn". False premise. Some people are born assholes. They get a kick out of making others suffer.
