A fact is a fact, why should I not state a fact which is backed by evidence and why should whether I mention the fact or not depend on the gender of the person I am replying to? If someone thinks I'm wrong then they can correct me and we can talk about the evidence of the claim I made. Maybe there are studies to the contrary and I'm willing to see them. "Mainsplain" is a sexist term in itself, used decisively to make a ad hominem attack rather than sticking to the subject of the discussion

Good story, I will definitely try and be more like this when at social events from now on. I feel like it's actually a good way to make yourself feel more comfortable I'm these environments because after makes some small interactions you will feel like you have met half the people around you. It's also something I've never really even considered when it comes to drawing people to you but I think is an important aspect.

Yeah agree, I think it's a great way to be to build rapport tbh. I think I didn't like it because it didn't seem genuine when he does it. Maybe that's also partly because I'm not like that and so seems more fake to me than it actually is

I guess it's how the person feels inside. But tbh I don't think it's bad to try and be friendly to everyone even if you don't feel like it. I think all men would benefit from higher social status. It's probably the number one thing that attracts women. It won't get you a relationship if you are lying and being fake obviously because the girl will see through it in time. But for just getting laid his approach obviously works well. Yes I think he actually has narcastic personality disorder are I looked it up. I agree, I actually don't have the level of motivation he has. I think it stems from deep insecurity (there are other reasons why I know he has problems like what he was texting one of the girls who I made friends with). I am mostly happy to go home without a girl if I didn't find anyone that attractive but he's needs a girl every night

It was mainly because it was a clear show of disrespect. I knew he was trying it on with her right in front of me by speaking Spanish after I told him a minute earlier not to (I've seen him do it with a lot of girls). I think it's important to show some assertiveness here otherwise people can lose respect for you. If someone disrespects you like this it's important to not be scared to call it out (not necessarily being angry, you can make light of it while showing you don't like it)
