Trying to genuinely be busy with other stuff be it friends hobbies family or other women is the best you can get. I’m starting to think that as soon as you get the to stage you consider things like this you’re already too invested, and more invested than you’d like to admit. I say this as someone that has been there. The only way I’ve found to be able to be generally indifferent is to have multiple girls on the go, but this is difficult to maintain when you meet one that you actually like

I am an overthinker that will put off asking for the date if I think the texting isn’t going great. To get around this I’ve decided I will only use text to set up the date. This way I get my answer right away and don’t work myself up into an anxious mess and then not even get a definitive answer. In terms of a check, I think about if this was my best mate, what would I advise him to do, or if this was a rival, what would I want them to do, and then do the opposite.

Kinda fucked how the less you put in the more you get out. Can be very hard to hold back when you actually like someone, whereas when you dgaf it’s easy. Hence why you either end up with someone that you’re genuinely above or you show great restraint early on

Agree totally. Better to be busy than fake busy. Cos when I’m fake busy my brain tries to tell me why I should contact her even tho I know better to meet in person and leave texts for arranging dates. It’s just a bit differnt as this is from an app so naturally we text more before meeting
