Damn I’ve been referring to Red Pill as Minimum Wage Forever Forum, but turns out that was a compliment. 😂

I would make him initiate ALL communication. All of it. I frequently would book outings with my girlfriends after dates so I had somewhere to go.

By being and knowing you’re a fucking prize. A lot of that is confidence so as I said elsewhere, go on dates with men you know you don’t like and practice cutting it off with them. Think of it as practice.

Good for you! The quicker you burn through guys the more easily you’ll be able to identify one worth marrying. If that’s what you want.

The most eligible bachelors I know wont date women under 27 so it looks like you're spending too much time in the Minimum Wage Forever forum, oops, I mean Red Pill. I will say that they begin to get biased around 33 as an upper limit, but you have plenty of time.

He doesn't like you. It happens. Go ahead and be sad. Listen to Lana del Rey's Ultraviolence on repeat. You're already do the best thing you can do which is use some other men to get back out there.

A lot of my friends let things go on much too long because they empathize with imagined reasons as to WHY the guy in their life is not demonstrating commitment. It's usually he "works so much!"(I fell for this one a couple of times) or "his family is having problems" or "he's going through a really tough time." The truth is that there is nothing that will keep a guy from a woman he wants and those excuses are just that: excuses. I advocate practicing cutting men off so that it becomes easier in …

I think maybe reassurance will come from practice. Something I advise but most women are too busy to do is to purposely go on dates with men where you know it wont work. This is expressly so you can practice cutting it off. After turning down ten men or so, your skills in dating will have sharpened and your self-confidence will grow. It will also broaden your perspective. If you're young, this is a particularly good way to spend some free Saturdays.

The assumptions are all yours. This is a forum for advice for women in dating. The counter-party will therefore be men. It's not that men value things differently when presented under differing conditions, it's that humans do. Men are humans. My background is consulting. I have no idea what chimpanzees do. The famous example of selling a piece a jewelry that the business is having trouble moving is not to mark it on sale; it's to raise the price and surround it by pieces that are unavailable or …

UPDATE: Because men need to make the first move to feel like they have agency in a relationship. Thats not really so much a “man” thing as it is human psychology. However men are so outclassed by women’s emotional intelligence that 5 years from now when he’s losing an argument instead of allowing himself to believe a victim narrative, he will remind himself that he choose her. Most people’s egos are far too strong to knock their own choices. Anyways update! The group outing was fun for all invol…

That is a very specific concern for sure. Worst case scenario if someone IS pining for their ex, they will reveal it pretty quickly. That’s when you leave. There is really no competing because you won’t have it. Part of the reason I recommend making the guy do ALL the communication effort and chasing in the beginning is that it tends to weed out men whose heart really isn’t in it. Now the very last part of your statement has more to do with unhealthy attitudes about love in general on your part.…

Are you joking? I’m sorry that’s harsh, but you just told us it was a boring date at best. You should be glad if he never texts you, and you should certainly never text first after a date even it was amazing. I’m sorry, but it seems your whole basis for texting him is that he half-heartedly made a comment at the end. This is the wrong mindset. You should be asking for advice on how to firmly put him off should he text you. Listen to your intuition; the date sucked. Explore why you feel the need …

I’ve had several men ghost after a refusal to come home on a first or second date. Just shrug your shoulders and move on. Clearly we were not in agreement if something so small could interrupt them. I acknowledge it’s very frustrating at the time. Ladies it’s much easier to move on from a second date investment than a 6 month investment who only stuck around because it was so easy.

When I was dumped he offered up the “but I hope to be friends” line. I scoffed, (not condescendingly, I was very sad) and said “that really isn’t our style so let’s not lie to each other”. This was 5 years ago. A mutual acquaintance told me very recently that he asks after me. He even mentioned my last words specifically; maybe as an excuse as to why he’s speaking about me? I found it surprising because I don’t really think about this ex at all anymore, and I’ve always been relieved to not think…

Marriage has held steady at the upper 1/3(est) of income earners for men. Men still want to get married. (And if you’re on this sub you should be exclusively fishing in this lake.) The bottom third cannot support a family in this country(USA) anymore. They probably couldn’t support an out of work or sick spouse either. There is no reason to marry them. They will only drag down the benefits calculations.

That’s exactly the point; I don’t “hang out” with men. Frankly I enjoy their company, but I’m very mindful of what box they are in. This is a strategy forum, and I stand by advice for treating men mindfully this way.

It’s no secret that friendship between women is deeper and far more emotionally satisfying than man-woman friendship(for the woman, men probably enjoy the free emotional labor). There’s no need to invest time into male friendship beyond whatever connection they provide to your hobby or career. Do not invite them into your kitchen. Keep them in the drawing room. I suppose there’s exceptions for non-hetero-men and woman friendships. But I’m lacking data on that one.

I would explore your instincts to be friends with men.... I can’t say there’s a single instance of male friendship that couldn’t be replaced by a superior female friendship. And all people have a limited amount of time for friendships. By all means keep him as a networking contact and do the bare-minimum of work to maintain that, but as PP said you didn’t really expound upon any convincing qualities there.

The problem with treating any prospect as serious at 24 is your own age. You physically are probably superb, but your mind and unique attitude have not yet fully bloomed. The highest value men who are hunting for marriage material will likely have a floor of 27 for their prospective wife (and a ceiling of 32 so it’s not a large window). This can be frustrating to you because I’m sure dating men of your age is dreadful and those in the prime eligible age will seem very mediocre because those with…

"Go on dates where you’re likely to encounter a lot of male mate competion." Purposely helping set this up this weekend. My friend is interested in a guy, but we all know women can't ask men out otherwise they wont value the relationship. Ta da, enter me here who has invited the most-overtly muscular and the one guy I know for certain is wealthier than my friend's interest to a casual late afternoon at the pub this weekend (she's going to have plans for the evening, so sorry, can't stay). She li…

Men don’t have natural risk analysis of commitment like women in relationships. If he’s had 4 relationships of substance that he was the one to call off by the time he was 28, he for sure thinks he’s hot-shit. If you marry that particular specimen, you’ll be trying to enforce your non-negotiables with him 4 years from now and he won’t cooperate at all bc he literally won’t believe that you’ll leave him. After all, he’s never experienced it. Let some other woman do the work if introducing your gu…

At one point I was looking for the father of my children (I am married with children). My non-negotiable attributes were intelligence matching my own, financial ability to support a family to my level of comfort without me working, and no introverts. My nice-to-haves were atheism, grew up with sisters, came from less means but doing well now, interest in running, and similar interest in travel. I am on this dating sub because many of my dear girlfriends need this advice and I screen shot it to t…

A lot of guys are subconsciously(consciously?) evaluating how to impress you early on. If you come off all libfem and desperate to people-please by how cool-girl you are, the guy will let you go dutch at ihop. He will let the waiter know the side of fries was yours. I say this because I come from money, and I must put off some sort of energy about that (high expectations?). Men would pull out the stops for the 2-7dates-ish.... even the men where spending might of been a stretch. $300 dinners did…

Strangers on the internet can’t tell you what you want. You’re going to have to decide and enforce that for yourself just like every other adult.

Over 38 and has always been marriage focused but couldn’t make it happen. There’s usually something very wrong with those. They usually end up tricking a 20 year to marry them when they’re 45 just by sheer inertia of compound interest.

This is not to drag op but: Dont play house with/depend financially on someone unless you’re married. (Or engaged to be married within the year). If he’s not ready to be married and you are? Walk the fuck away. It’s the only thing you can do.

Who said anything about not needing men? The best furniture is very heavy furniture, and I surely need men to move it around. Also opening jars.
