In my opinion this is a perception issue. Most people who were really rude to you and treated you bad or dismissively when you were overweight and had other issues are part of a percentage of people who are bad enough to actually be vocal about their distaste for you. If you think about it, most people simply didn't care about you. Now that you've lost weight and improved yourself a lot, a lot of the women who weren't noticing you before now are. it doesn't mean those exactly same women were the…

I think to be able to show other people you have standards and self-respect, you first need to believe that yourself. I feel like a broken record, but you need to improve yourself. And by saying that I'm not saying you're not good enough. I know nothing about you, I don't know if you work out, if you eat well, if you cultivate good habits and take care of yourself, if you try to be always learning new skills and cultivating the ones you have. But if you don't feel like you're worth a lot, you wo…

A generalization is just that, speaking in broad terms about a group. It does not apply to every individual. Obviously not. As if I knew every single person who posts semi-naked pictures on the internet. I literally don't understand how people get offended by generalizations. They are a tool to describe something in broad terms, and by its own definition won't apply to every case. This is the trend I've personally seen. If you've had a different experience, feel free to share it. And there is de…

This is exactly the type of disconnect going on. A girl will dress slutty, then complain when she gets catcalled. Or complain a guy is staring at he cleavage, when it's going almost to her belly button. Like?? Don't pretend you don't want attention when you go in public in shorts so short they show your ass. Or that posting semi-nude pictures on the internet is something you're doing for yourself. If it was truly just for you, you'd have printed a picture and put it on a wall in your bedroom, no…

There may be a political culture element to this. As you have the whole woke thing with lefties and liberals and especially with lefties you have them trying to show how progressive they are Exactly

A good point. "Empowerment" is the euphemism they use, but like I was saying on another comment, it's a lot of cult of the ego. It's not a healthy mentality.

LOL I have seen some guys do that stuff to. Again, I'm in a female dominated field, and about half the guys are gay. This mentality applies to them too. It's just that it's way more often women doing it, so people will talk about that more. And dude, I'm not projecting. Most of my friends and acquaintances are feminists, because I was one too until a couple of years ago. I've already lost some "friends" for posting conservative stuff, like being pro-life. I know exactly what's going on in their …

I think they may be getting some sort of sex addiction or what have you True. It's not a phenomenon caused by a single thing. It's a complex issue. I think what I mentioned definitely plays a part in it, as does what you mentioned, among many other factors. But for sure there are a bunch of women who believe casual sex is form or empowerment, a form of "showing" to the world that you're in charge of your sexuality and aren't looking to abide by traditional gender norms. I wager this is what's …

Yeah you know, graduating in a major with 80% of people being liberal and 3/4 being women has its perks! /s In all seriousness, I left mostly because I don't think social medias are very healthy (at least not for me). Oh, you haven't been to the right corners of the internet. Keep it that way, it's pretty decadent. I had been slowly unfollowing lot of people from uni over the years because they start posting semi-nude pictures of themselves thinking that it's somehow empowering. Have you ever seen women calling themselves goddesses? There's a lot of that going on in instagram. It's pure cult to your own ego stuff, and it's one of the reasons I decided to leave that platform a while ago. I got tired of seeing …

She posted a really graphic picture, where just the strategic bits are hidden, months ago on instagram. When this happened I did talk to her about it. And she got super defensive, she said that it was a way to boost her confidence in her body, and to affirm to herself that she felt good in her own skin (she had been going through some tough stuff at the time). But the picture looked like something you'd sext someone. I told her that this is what might be going on in her head, but it's not what p…

If you believe no causality - why do you think depressed women engage in casual sex? Because our pc culture currently is making women think that behaving like men do will make them feel like men do about it. "If men can be sluts and it's no big deal, women should be sluts and it shouldn't be a big deal either". Which then obviously doesn't go the way they think it will because men and women are wired differently. But they'll keep repeating that the results aren't the same because of socializatio…

I tend to get acne if I use most of traditional makeups, so my favorite brand at the moment is Alima Pure, which is an excellent natural makeup brand, if anyone is interested. I don't think I'll ever go back to non-mineral makeup. You just can't beat the finish. But it is a little expensive. So to answer your question, if you don't have super sensitive skin, a product I always loved was Maybelline's BB Cream, the one with the blue lid. It looks very natural!

If I offer my husband to sew a button for him is that sexism? If I'm the one doing most of the cooking? It's bs to call the behaviors on the post sexism. For each person to use their strengths to serve their partner, that's not sexism.

As a Brazilian, tattos don't have the same connotations here as they have in the USA. So it depends on the culture/ social bubble you're in. But you're married apparently? So ask your husband what he thinks. In any case, I have one and I regret it mostly because I found out how toxic they are. And I mean, it's a foreign body stuck inside you, so it should've been obvious that it's not exactly healthy. But people tend to dismiss this as tinfoil hat talk and just get it of that's what they wanna d…

That's why I don't believe in male/female friendships. When in group settings, yes. When it's not a close relationship, sure. But a close friendship where you text each other frequently and hang out one on one? I don't believe it can happen without one of them developing feelings or having hopes something else might come of it. Not that it's always malicious, in fact I think a huge part of the time it's mostly subconscious. But it's still there, which means the friendship is not competently inno…

Yeah, the truth is most college guys aren't looking for relationships. So it might take you a while, but don't give up. I can guarantee you you're better off by standing by your principles. You should probably try to date guys who are a little older (24-27), or in places and situations where they are more likely to be willing to commit. Guys in grad school, guys who already have a job, guys in church. (If you're religious but don't attend a church, you should consider starting)

He doesn't seem like he would be a good partner if he demonstrated all he wanted from you was sex. And if he was only texting and showing interest in you while he thought you could be easy sex, that's the case.

I think you're on the right path, then :) you gotta work on bettering yourself and becoming the amazing catch that your ideal guy would want to settle with. Work on what you bring to the table. Some examples, at least for me, is that I'm super headstrong and I have a mind of a debater. In /purplepilldebate there was a thread a while ago that illustrated this perfectly. In relationships, a huge way that man feel loved is by being respected. For women it's rarely like this. A woman being respected in the way men usually are often actually leads to her sex drive being totally killed, like you said yourself in the original post. Women feel love by being cherished. So there's one difference. Men aren't better than women, nor is the opposite true. But men are better than women in so…

I'm so happy you're finding your way put of the toxic view feminism has of relationships. not a boss who orders me around all the time. This is the distorted definition of submission believed by feminists. It's not what it actually means, and it'd be kind of abusive if it was like that, honestly. Submission is when my fiance says "I'm not comfortable with you walking from our house to the library by yourself, there's some sketchy areas in between" and I say "I'll wait so we can go together then …

Met my now fiance on tinder at 22. I wasn't and have never have been looking for just hookups so I dont know why I was really on that site. (Or I do, but I dont think this is the occasion for deep self analysis hahaha) But tinder really was just the medium for us to start texting. After that it was regular texting outside the app, then dating of a long while before even having sex.

I'd ask him if I were you. Let him know a little in advance you wanna have a serious discussion later so he won'tbe caught completly off guard. This will make him less likely to lie. And when the time comes, bring it up calmly. Say you took a vow to each other and as his wife, you deserve to know what's going on. Idk where your thoughts lie if that is the situation , but in your place I'd say cheating, or whatever else that is the problem, won't necessarily lead to divorce, if that's what has af…

What the fuck? I'm afraid of rape because that'd be a violation of my body and soul. It's something done against the womans will. That's the important part. Not how the guy looks. I'm against both prostitution and porn because I believe human beings deserve more dignity than to be treated as commodities. Your views of people and of women in particular are extremely distorted. I hope you find yourself in a better place mentally soon.

I don't think being an attractive man is correlated with bad prospects for LTRs. I think it's more the case that if a man is more physically attractive than the woman, then it's probably a bad idea. For example, me and my fiance, from my point of view, have the same smv. But I'm attracted to much more in him than his looks, and looks are more important to men. If we were talking looks alone, I think I'm more attractive than him. And the Chad stereotype I personally interpret more like a personal…

Feminism: Distorted my views of myself, of men and of relationships for years Is making it so that most women I know will be very miserable for most of their lives, starting at around 30 Has treated men really unfairly, which has created a scenario where they are very resentful towards women. Which is awful but it's not like I can blame them either Has me worried about what type of insanity my future kids will be exposed to.

You were a victim in those situations, sure. But they weren't an accident, specially when this has become a pattern in your life. Stop dating men who are out of your league. I think it lowers it. Specially for women, social media most of the time has a net negative effect. Even if you're instagram famous or whatever, being there, and constantly comparing yourself is in fact a bad thing that's affecting women's mental health. Look up the work of Jonathan Heidt.

Well, first of all, intersex people do usually end up developing one of the sexes more and identifying as one of them. They don't usually live in limbo. Having this biological condition doesn't make one "trans". But to get to your question, I don't really understand it. Are you asking what's the redpill stance on them? If that, I don't think there needs to be one specific. The sex that they live as would be automatically how they would be viewed.

I don't mean to be like one of those people who says EVERYONE MUST HAVE CHILDREN. If it's not something you wanna do, that's the end of that. But if you're kinda on the fence about it, you should think about it more carefully and reach a final conclusion soon, as you don't have forever to decide. And having kids will impact the rest of your life. It's not just about being able to sleep well in your 20s. I think the line lies in: he is already like that, and you're just encouraging an action, and not a change in character. For example, my fiance is overweight. But he's one of the most driven people I know. If he was someone who was content playing video games for days and didn't have much ambition, how realistic would it be to expect him to lose weight? And even more, how fair would it be to ask him to become a go getter if he's not? I think it's unfair to expect a change of character, or a chan…

I'm gonna take his side for a little bit: it's not fair to expect people to change for you. And by that I don't mean encouraging him to lose weight, to change his opinion on a issue or another or to try to not get as angry at traffic. I mean fundamentally change. Like how he lives his life, his personality, and so on. It's really unfair to be with someone counting on the fact that they will change. Not to mention it's a mistake, because 90% the time, they won't.

I'm not against people getting them if that's what they want to do. But as a catholic, I'd be weary of someone wanting to marry me with the mentality that this really might not work out. I don't know. And also, as far as I know they only make sense if one of the parties already has a lot of wealth prior to marriage. A prenup doesn't affect what you earn after you get married. So for most regular people they don't even really help.

I know I’m not taking crazy pills here, because it’s becoming more common for people all over the country to wait later and later to have children and it’s almost like having children is seen as a burden that gets slightly lighter the more you’ve traveled or partied. If the situation doesn't look like is gonna change any time soon, you should leave him. A woman not having respect for her man kills the relationship. To play devil's advocate and be somewhat "egualitarian", I'm gonna say to some degree both people in a relationship need to respect the other. But it is something that affects women more. Really, if a woman doesn't look up to her man, or she has this feeling that she's better than him, that's a sinking ship, my friend. You should get out before it…

I don't think hip dips are ugly in themselves, I think prominent hips, even if they aren't a perfectly smooth hourglass shape, are lovely. They just won't look good with most jeans haha. Ohhhh I understand what you said about looking like you have a muffin top now. So you're most likely an hourglass, actually, with like a problem area, called "hip dips", and the worse thing you can do for that is wear low rise. They are gonna accentuate the problem. I think there's exercises you can do to fix it, and also wearing high rise stuff, so you're not compressing the area, is a good idea. Look at 1919 vintage on etsy! I'm not saying that every woman should dress super feminine, but if that's your goal: try to have as many skirts and dresses as you have shorts and pants, or preferably, more. Find a style you like and start wearing dresses and skirts more than not. I love floral, but a piece doesn't have to be floral to be feminine. You just have to find what you like. Exactly. It's why Jordan Peterson got so popular, really. He's the one guy telling men to take action in their lives, that that's what will solve their problems, will help them dig their way out of depression, etc. It's an approach that's unapologetically masculine too. Which I think is a huge part of why the media despises him so much: he goes completely against the narrative that masculinity is inherently toxic.

Mmm I don't think so. I've met men who are feminists by the things they believe in. Just regular blue pill dudes who believe in the gender pay gap, the 25% bogus rape statistic and those sort of things. But those are different from the ones that went around telling people they are feminists. Those guys were weasels 75% of the time.

I've never watched that show and I already am in a relationship. But yeah, I'm talking about a man who is a natural leader, is stoic, would want a traditional dynamic for the relationship, would want to be the provider while I stayed home with the kids, etc

I think the manipulation part is further proof that if you identify yourself as a male feminist is because you're already very insecure.

That's too big of a gap. If you were my sister or a close friend, that's what I'd tell you. There's some stuff that's beyond how much you like each other that is just as relevant (if not more) to the relationship. Have you thought about when you're 55 and he's 78?

We had been dating for either 2 or 4 weeks. I can't remember because there were 2 weeks of just texting each other before we met in person, so the timeline is fuzzy in my head. He said it first, kinda laughing, I don't remember of what, and I said "oh no, I wanted to say it first!", he said "too late" hahahah we've been together 4 years, we're getting married this year. If we weren't long distance at the moment, we probably would have married a couple of years ago.

but somehow the "liberal parents" are wrong and you're not, but only because they're "liberal." No, they are wrong because wanting to raise your kids "gender neutral" is a social experiment for which you don't know what the consequences will be, and that, in my opinion, is what's unethical. You don't know that a boy being able to firmly identify himself as a boy and wanting to differentiate himself from girls, like most boys want to, isn't an important part of development and of building his ide…

It means that I don't plan to raise my kids within the feminist frame of thought. I plan to teach a little girl that being a career woman is not very compatible with having a big family, if that's what she wants to do. And that she should really figure out which is a bigger priority for her before she decides to get in debt for college. I plan to teach a little boy that he should protect his little sister, and that men should protect women. I mean, do you really have to ask? I'm talking about tr…

/r/RedPillWomen26/01/19 10:57 PM

Where's the contradiction? I said exactly what I mean: I will raise my kids within gender norms just like I was raised. If I have a kid though, that on their own, expresses the desire to do something different, I'm don't have a problem with that. Edit: That's exactly what my parents did btw. Me and my sisters were never discouraged from our girly tendencies. But when my middle sister wanted to take judo classes instead of ballet with me and my youngest sister, they had no problem with it.

I'm gonna assume you're talking about dudes who are super vocal about social justice, not your regular guy that if you asked them, would say "sure, women deserve to be treated with respect". Of the ones I've met personally: they seemed like super polite dudes and that was it. From knowing more about them over the years: most turned out to be pretty manipulative men. Exactly. And even then, behaving in that blue pill way is not something I think most men enjoy anyway. But they are too afraid of women's reactions if they behaved traditionally. Exactly. I've read somewhere that therapy is a thing that works really really well for women because most of us use verbally externalizing our emotions as a way of healing. Men are not necessarily like that. And proof of it is that female army veterans respond way better to counseling for PTSD than Male army veterans. And despite that, we keep telling men that their problems would be solved if they simply behaved more like women do, expressing their emotions more and talking about things more. B…

I think it has a lot to do with helicopter parenting with kids not being given independence, with play time always being supervise and so on. For a while I still labelled myself as a feminist while having that mentality. But to me personally, it just stopped making sense when it was obvious that was my particular definition and of probably 5% of the movement. I stopped wanting to be put into the same group as the other 95% of feminists. Then later on I found out about the other side of the story of feminism, and nowadays I don't even know if classic feminism was a good thing, but that's a discussion for another time.

Yeah I know :( it's awful. When I have the mother alone in mind, I want her to go to jail. She would have to pay back child support of they weren't together anymore. At fault divorce could be applied of they were still together, and the man would be the one being favored in this case, and the woman would have to go to jail for fraud. Her description matches a lot of men I know from liberal circles who are kinda awful. Behaving like that is kinda like a sneaky way of getting sex. Because these guys know they aren't "alfa" enough, for lack of a better term, to make liberal, hypergamous women want them while at the same time being masculine. So they behave in a way to seem more tame, less traditionally masculine, and get sex this way. It's the classical male feminists. I know there are guys who behave like this and aren't this.…

Define machismo. Depends on where you live I suppose, but more than anything, Brazil is a place that most feminists haven't gone as much off the rails as American feminists. It's an insignificant amount in the context of how much volume there is with all the other ingredients. You can also just skip it since it's there solely to give for fragrance. Liver is something it took me a really long time to start eating, even though both my parents absolutely love it, simply because of the smell. Where I live it's still a widely loved food, and it's very sad most Americans have forgotten how to eat organ meats. This recipe doesn't get rid of the smell, but the taste imo is absolutely delicious. And after you have appreciated the taste for a while, you get over the smell. It's just that our minds want meat to smell and taste like beef but liver wel…

I'm not showing my face, my real friends aren't here, people know very little about my life. You could say reddit is technically a social media, since it's a media in which you can be social I suppose. But it's more like a forum than anything. Completely different dynamics from Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and even Twitter. I'll assume you really couldn't tell the difference instead of purposefully misunderstanding what I said because... for some reason it was triggering to you? I don't know, …

That's not what happened. What happened was society's circumstances have changed in a way that has allowed women to stop requiring commitment for sex (the pill). And so most of us have, without realizing that by doing that, we are greatly damaging the balance of gender relations. So to try to balance that out, knowing it or not, feminism has made it so it's not socially acceptable to criticize women too much, which has hindered men's ability to properly gatekeep what they are supposed to be gate…

No problem. I know what you're saying. I do think there's a huge problem with acknowledging women's faults, but in this case I think the real problem is acknowledging that women are just as aggressive and competitive as men, we just do it in the social sphere. Also, people don't wanna admit using social media can be a bad thing

I think it's a little more complex than that. What you said is true, but also.. Women are the gatekeepers of sex. Nowadays, getting sex from some girls is as easy as talking to them for a little bit (for alfa males especially. It's why the pareto principle is returning). So men, who are in fact more direct and usually the ones approaching, get way more results with simply that than they would have when people still believed sex was for marriage.

Women are and always will be the gate keepers of sex. And men are the gate keepers of long term commitment. Current culture has chosen to ignore this completely (I don't think it's politically correct to say it anymore), so we're paying the price.

This is hugely gendered. I'm a strong believer that social media is very very damaging to women. Because our competitiveness is in the social sphere, and the internet has amped that to a degree never seen before. Men still have the highest suicide numbers, and I'm not denying that, but how much those numbers have risen for women (along with mental illness in general) is straight up scary and correlated perfectly with the rise of the social media age. I think women in general have a harder time u…

I had never thought of it like this but you're very right. I think our modern environment suppresses both of those a lot, which would explain some of the problems we're running into. I won't get into the male ones because most people are familiar with those already. But a thing that is huge in undermining that aspect of femininity and most people don't seem think of is social media. Specially the ego-boosting ones like Instagram. Instagram, snapchat and facebook can be really good at making you …

Women are attracted to a good looking guys, sure. But that's not at all as much of a priority for us as it is for men.

I understand the male perspective that lots of guys here have of "the only guys who could get laid originally were the alfa males" But this huge cultural shift has happened way more recently than that. The pareto principle is only returning now, after millennia of way more stable male/female relationships than what we have now. What changed? The invention of birth control. It has allowed women to let free the reigns we used to be absolutely required to keep on our sexuality. Well, when every tim…

A while ago on AmITheAsshole a guy was going on and on about how men opening doors for women is extremely sexist. Like he's saying she doesn't have the capacity of doing that for herself or something. I have seen more than one guy saying he stopped doing that for people in general after so many times of being attacked by outraged women who were intensely offended at the gesture. Those are the people you'd be trying to please by labeling yourself a feminist when you're not. We're obviously not ta…

That guy definitely needs help hahaha I know it looks pretty bleak for men right now, but a guy who was actually believing all those things definitely is not doing well. That's why I don't trust the Male feminists, I'm sure like 80% or more don't actually believe all that SJW stuff.

It absolutely is a negative about a guy. Even when I was still a feminist, about 2-3 years ago, I had always for some reason had the impression Male feminists were pretty slimy. A while later I realized it was like they were sneaking their way into women's pants, because they couldn't compete with other males in the regular way. Realizing what the nature of the Male feminists I knew in real life actually is was pretty eye opening and it was one of the biggest red pill moments for me. It was defi…

Yeah absolutely. Then embrace your femininity and don't be afraid of letting your (future?) man be the man in the relationship. You'll have a much stronger relationship than the marriages that people into this post-modernist thinking with their confused gender roles ever will. I feel really really sad for the men who are marrying those types of feminists. Their views on relationships is completely warped, as is what they look for and expect from a man, which make their relationships super unstab…

Yeah I mostly agree with what you said. Once you have his kids though, the man is extremely dependent upon you to take care of his offspring. And don't undervalue how much this means to a guy. If you're married he will be super dependent upon you for his well being as well. What I disagree with in this type of reasoning that you showed originally in your post is that it shows how much society has completely forgotten and belittled the part that women play in a relationship. You not being the one…

That's true. Sometimes it seems like I'm living in a simulation when I see a post like this on AITA and everyone is on the side if this woman. If she was my friend in real life if be seriously worried about her mental state. Women are not hyper sexual naturally the way some alfa males are. If a girl is acting like that, I can almost guarantee you there's something going on in her life. That's not healthy female human behavior at all.

Feminists THINK they want men to show their emotions and be more open in general. But I'm yet to see a woman who is attracted to that type of men when he's not hypothetical.

What do you mean by being dependent? In the way I understand it, it wouldn't be bad to be dependent on your man. You both depend on each other because you complement one another, and this dynamic works wonderfully with a feminine woman+masculine man. So maybe your definition of dependency is different than mine. What do you mean?

I envision a man who has self respect. Me as a woman would never ever want to be with a guy that has slept with over 80 women. That's disgusting. I'd never want to be with someone who treat people, himself included, that casually. And I think a lot of women think like me too. But of course men are not allowed to have standards according to the PC culture.

think that men are always right meaning they need to handle the finances and house decisions and they need to be submissive and have no spine. People there don't think that at all. And being submissive doesn't mean what you think it means. It doesn't at all mean being a doormat, and in fact this distinction is repeated on that sub over and over again. Feminism turned submission into this ugly and one sided thing that isn't what traditionally it has meant at all. They’re the ultimate “pick-me’s” …

You said everything I wanted to have replied to this post. OP seems to have no idea what that sub is actually about. I'm part of it and don't see any type of toxicity like "believing women shouldn't get an education". OP is also using the toxic and wrong definition of submission that feminism uses. No value in being a SAHM? How warped can your world view be if you really think that? And the truth is, most women, if we don't find a man who we think it's worth submitting to, won't be fulfilled lon…

Girl, you need to go low carb. You don't need to necessarily go keto if you don't want to, but eating low carb/ high fat is the best strategy to deal with PCOS. Plus it'll help you lose weight much more effortlessly. I'm pretty new to RPW so I'll refrain about getting too much into your real question and let other women who are more knowledgeable speak their minds. But my two cents on the subject are that you should work on your femininity, and all the other things about you will fall into place…

No. You should never put yourself in such a vulnerable situation. What if you break up one day? The only guy I ever sent them to is my now fiance. And we're catholic so no plans of getting divorced. (And since coming back to the church I've decided to remain chaste until marriage, but I digress) But I've regretted sending them and have been against them even in our situation (even before finding myself a practicing catholic again) for a long time now. I don't understand the question. What would it take for a woman to be like that? Probably parents that did a really good job raising her, as well as that she kept herself from being influenced by post-modernist mentality and its many subgenres, like feminism. So this question seems like a really weird one to make. Can it be that what you wanna know is "what would it take for women to want to go back to traditional gender roles?" / "what would it take to restore gender relationships in our cultur…

Nicely put. Most people here have a hard time with nuance like that. I personally am the type of woman that when I was single and I just started texting my now fiance (before meeting him in person) I had also been texting some other guy. But I started getting more interested on my guy. So I texted the other one and said "I'm sorry but I'm getting involved with someone else. You seem really nice but it's not gonna happen". 1) you can't answer this without knowing what the situation is. Do you guys already live together, or does she live by herself? Or is she living with her parents? Are you guys religious or traditional or are you guys very independent and don't care about this type of old school stuff? What does her and everyone else involved expect? Me and my family as well as my fiance's are catholic. I still live with my parents. He didn't ask them for permission, but we went to them togehter right after we go…

Woman here. I think a lot gets lost in translation on this topic. I don't think women having options until she decides on someone is necessarily a bad thing. However, that is different from knowing you're not interested in a guy who you know is interested in you and you still keep him in the dark about this fact. I believe a lot of women take the easy route of admitting to no guilt over a guy liking her and she not reciprocating. "I thought we were just friends", "being friends with me doesn't e…

Depends on your views in life more than anything. Imo the purpose of dating is to find a spouse. I don't see a point in wasting your time with someone you already know you wouldn't want to marry. I know most people don't think like me, at least in my social bubble. But to me that's exactly the reason most of those people will end up marrying very late in life.
