The average 30% (or 20%) is indeed an average difference. But that only means that women earn 30% less. No reasons for this are given, just an observation of outcomes. The other value tries to figure out if they earn less because they are women. And explaining the difference by other factors than being female down to a few percent means that there is no difference. Again, that percentage is not a difference. That percentage is the rest that can’t be explained by the available data. You can’t say that women earn 4, 2 or even 1% less than men based on those studies. That would simply be wrong.

Not really. That small percentage is the difference that cannot be explained by the data used for the study. That doesn’t mean that women earn this percentage less. Also, these small percentages already mean that there is probably no difference between the sexes just based on the sex.

Some people don’t mind having sex without wanting to have sex. Like you don’t want to clean your kitchen, but you do it anyway. This is different from having sex without consent. If someone openly says no and is forced to have sex against his/her/whatever will, then it’s rape.

Because killing people is wrong. The death penalty is practically state murder. And you can never be sure that the state is not killing innocent people. Plus, it’s cheaper to simply throw murderers in prison for the rest of their lives.

Pedophiles often commit crimes in their own family. So the list doesn't help. Harsh punishments and public offender lists don't really help if you compare crime rates of the US with the ones from other developed countries.

In my country, bonds are usually depended on the income. So that rich people would have higher bonds than poor people. We also don't have the same arrest culture than the US, so most people won't even have to deal with bonds.

Not sending shoplifters to prison doesn’t means that there are no consequences. Plus the number of shoplifters per 100k capital is in „softer“ countries mostly lower than in the US. There seems no real connection between crime rates and how hard criminals get punished. Even in the US the homicide rates in states without death penalty are usually lower than in states with death penalty.

Not putting offenders of petty theft in prison is not decriminalizing. The thing is: Putting people for minor crimes in prison is essential getting a free degree from crime university. Money is better spend on crime prevention than on putting people for decades in prison.
