I haven’t even started dating but idk what you even mean. The plan is regardless what happens, maintain a good relationship and even a friendship (yes it’s possible for people to do this). That said idk how me being concerned about somebody’s feelings means I’m not ready to date. I’m a human. I care about people and their feelings, doing that doesn’t mean I’m not ready to talk to people.

We have a separation agreement already in place that’s notarized and everything

Yes this sums it up perfectly. Sadly I don’t even know what makes me feel good. I can’t get any peace and quiet and when I do try and go on a drive or something alone my wife always wants to go. I just want peace and quiet.

It depends on state and county regs. Some states it’s not public record.

I feel like all of this is accurate. If somebody is the exception they need to fight it and document it. Definitely don’t just sign anything and don’t agree to anything without consulting somebody

I was on the fence but I’m personally done. My wife wants to make it work but after 20 years of being beaten down, I’m done. What does marriage counseling actually do anyway? We can’t make it work cause we have different insurances and I can only see providers my insurance company employs.

This post was perfect. I am actually going to counseling. First session is Thursday. I’m also severely depressed. I put others happiness over my own which I need to stop doing. I definitely don’t want to rush into it. My wife does know I’ve thought about it, came out during a fight. I do know I’d be happier alone. I also have higher self esteem and not so much afraid that I won’t find happiness elsewhere. In fact I’m sure I will. Out of respect for my kids and for my wife, I’m trying to work it …

Has anyone just left a note and not face to face?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
