I went and took a look at the post, and most of these vile comments have been removed. Thank God there's still halfway decent moderation there.

I’ve mainly witnessed young men use gay as an insult (a shout back to the 80s) Not even that far back. "Gay" was still widely used as a synonym for "lame" up until the early 2010s. The word still has that connotation for a lot of people to this day.

Exactly. This woman is completely deranged and intentionally malicious. I've seen men get longer prison times over innocuous mistakes.

Only 4.5 years? Are you fucking kidding me? This woman deserves life in prison or capital punishment for this. She ruined the lives of ten people for no fucking reason whatsoever. Ten. Fucking. People.

Men and women are different and will never communicate the same way as men do. I disagree with that. Of course, men and women are different, but I think that this obnoxious, entitled mind-reading expectation in women is something that's largely societally conditioned. This kind of behaviour should be ostracised. As the OP says, teach your daughters to communicate with words. All this expectation and intuition stuff is crock. I personally have frankly zero tolerance of that kind of behaviour when…

I wasn't aware of what MGTOW was, so I looked it up, and literally in the first sentence of the Wikipedia page it described it as a "radical misogynistic movement". I fucking hate how blatantly biased Wikipedia is on certain topics.

Both. Men and women are both heavily exploited by the elite minority in different ways, but men's societal struggles are overwhelmingly not taken as seriously as women's struggles. We've come a long way on one front, but we're overdue to treat men's issues with the same severity as women's issues.

An extremely tiny minority of people control society. I have as much to do with them and their business as you do. Just because they are also owners of a cock and a ballsack doesn't mean I have some kind of malignant influence on world affairs.

It's bizarre how often the mainstream left is so deterministic. It's that same mindset that you see a lot with republican boomers who think poor people are poor exclusively because it's their fault.

Not just with beauty standards, but in general. Men and boys falling behind in education? "Not our problem." Men making up the vast majority of suicide deaths? "Not our problem." Women aren't the majority of CEOs? "Absolute disaster. We will invest billions to address this problem immediately."

I'm so fucking sick of this. I tend to dress in a lot of older men's fashion, and like wearing warm autumn colours, but good luck finding anything of the sort outside of thrift shops or specialty stores. The suit coat that I have is beginning to really show its age, but I just can't find a replacement, because all the suit coats I can find are those generic dark blue corporate suits that look like shit.

It's not that they're explicitly programmed to be pro-feminist, it's that most of the material it's been fed is pro-feminist. Remember; AI is a text prediction machine. It's been fed as much text as they could find, and the entire system is all about recognising patterns in text and predicting what the most likely follow-up would be. Most material about these problems are pro-feminist, so when the AI is prompted with a gender based social problems, this bias will come through. This makes AI a ve…

Those are really counted among gun deaths? As in, the statistics used to argue that people need to get rid of guns? Seems rather deceptive.

Completely false. It's noticeable, but that kind of social awkwardness is infinitely more acceptable when it is a woman doing it. It's often just seen as a little shyness, and often even seen as kind of cute. The moment a guy shows any hint of being neurodivergent, he's labeled as a creep.

No one's arguing here that abortion should be outlawed, and everyone is well aware of the biological difference between men and women. On principle, I support freedom of choice. Consent to sex is not consent to parenthood. If the mother is pregnant, the father should have the right to absolve himself of all rights and responsibilities over the child. Whether or not the child is born is then up to the mother, who will take her financial situation into account. If the kid is born and grows up in a…

100%. I am astonished by how often people talk about "male ego" when 90% of the men I know practically hate themselves. Most guys I know are not getting their social needs met, and for a lot of those needs, the only acceptable way to get them is from a romantic partner. I never really hear about women completely dedicating themselves and their efforts to their partner, but I hear the opposite rather often. And when it falls apart, the guy is sometimes irreparably devastated because they put almo…

Nah, it's used as an excuse way more often. Women are held to far lower behavioural standards than men. Just look at how they tend to behave while intoxicated. Pretty much any bartender, bouncer, or waiter can tell you stories of how they've been groped, grabbed, and harassed in ways that'd ruin your life if you did it. But it's supposedly fine because a woman did it.

Considering that most of western feminism now exists almost entirely online, I would say that those subs are extremely representative of feminism This is very important, and always gets glossed over. "It's just on the internet, it's not real." doesn't hold up when most of this kind of dialogue happens online now.

The way people just won't acknowledge this absolutely infuriates me. If you don't have a job, then the household is your task. You can't expect the partner that works to do a bun h of household work after getting home from an eight hour shift. That's your end of the bargain.

The fact that this behaviour is so rampant amongst high-ranking feminists and practically does not get called out, and often even supported, leads me to deem that the current feminist movement is inherently hostile to men, and should be replaced with egalitarianism.

The blatant lying is what infuriates me the most about it. Anyone looking at it with any sense of objectivity can see that women overall are far more outright hateful of men than the other way around. Publically, so especially. Yet you can't call it out because they'll come up with bullshit excuses that people don't call out as such.
/r/MensRights21/01/25 11:32 AM

This doesn't even make sense considering the lore around the Drow and characters like Drizzt, whose entire story is about escaping a rampantly cruel and misandrist matriarchal society. I've an entire campaign in the works about a male and slave uprising in one of the lesser-known Drow cities, which already has a pre-existing faction called the Jaezred Chaulssin. It's absolutely moronic for them to now turn around and pretend men's issues are bullshit.

We create one sided definitions and then use that to point out one group is victimized more. The same shit is happening with those people who are trying to change the definition of racism to "power + prejudice". It's blantantly hypocritical, and I immediately lose my capacity to take someone seriously when they use these definitions.
/r/MensRights07/12/24 10:08 PM

That's the thing, they very much don't. Feminists and other milquetoast "leftists" care only about superficial qualities like race, sex, and gender, instead of their actual political stances and policies. It's no wonder that young men are being driven to the right in droves. The ones pretending to be the opposition vilify and despise them, then act surprised when they want nothing to do with their bullshit.

It depends. Some people genuinely have something like abuse-induced trauma from their own sex which makes them severely uncomfortable with associating with it, but not to the point of wanting to transition to the other. However, in these instances, being non-binary is usually a temporary thing, as they'll often gradually become comfortable with their sex' gender identity once they're out of the abusive environment and start associating with it. But I agree that a lot, maybe even most people who …

All the ones you mentioned were by definition not socialist by virtue of being undemocratic. Party members might have espoused those ideals but socialism and dictatorship are inherently non-compatible. People always act like this is pretending bad examples don't exist when these countries simply do not qualify. Workers controlled neither their workplace nor their government. The most basic definition of socialism is that they do, democracy is the whole point.
/r/MensRights04/11/23 12:43 AM

People always bring that up like it's some sort of gotcha, it means absolutely nothing. Yes, wanting to castrate children has absolutely nothing to do with the socio-economic structure and ideals of socialism. What a shocking and surprising revelation! Bloody pillock.

As someone who's on the spectrum I seriously despise those programmes. They're in part responsible for people's terrible misunderstanding of the what autism is. The only types that are ever shown are either the savant types or the severe cases. Put on top of that how nearly all educational material on the subject is put towards children, so people will often assume any childish behaviour is because of autism rather than them being a child.

When we talk about living standards, things such as available housing, affordable food and care as well as time for the household and leisure are considered more important. Your example of more people eating out is strange, because to me it is a symptom of people not having the time to cook a good meal for themselves. Average house size doesn't mean much when many can't reasonably afford one at all. The quantity of technology is not exactly important when these are often requirements for work. T…

Wages have been stagnant, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find a house as a young adult, parents having trouble finding time for their home and children. Modern conveniences are in no way a substitute for a functional economy that doesn't fuck over working class people.

And yet living standards for either sex have not meaningfully improved. The 40-hour workweek was designed with the idea of one breadwinner and one caretaker of the house. Simply having both working what is to this day considered "full time" whilst still struggling to make ends meet is the sign of a dying economy.
