I disagree. If you're dating then she'll know you have a lot going on regardless of how often you text her. And in general I don't like the idea of not texting her when you'd like to because minimal texting is the approved strategy. It seems inauthentic.

I don't understand why the answer isn't "as often as you want to"?

Francisco D'anconia (minus the spontaneous speeches on the value of free market capitalism His speech on money was great. “To trade by means of money is the code of the men of good will. Money rests on the axiom that every man is the owner of his mind and his effort. Money allows no power to prescribe the value of your effort except the voluntary choice of the man who is willing to trade you his effort in return. Money permits you to obtain for your goods and your labor that which they are worth…

Career stuff. Have a pretty dead end job that I hate going to but I don't look for a better one. I hate working. I hate being an employee and don't want to be an employer. Making money is incredibly important to survival and freedom but I don't like the process.

That's a good point. It could be my own bias that sees him asking for her permission in the way that I normally do. However, I still think there's a better way to get her to say what he wants without asking her to come right out and say it so bluntly. Seems like that could lead to a lot of last minute no's.

That seemed a bit strange to me. It seemed like he was seeking something from her? If he knew that she wanted him, he wouldn't ask.

I really don't like the idea of not talking to women until you have 'high value'. Just start today. And hate the idea of not lifting until some kind of dubious posture problems are fixed.

I can see her point. Even though the words they used were harmless the tone was anything but innocent. It's fair for her to assume that these guys all said something because they wanted to fuck her. I'll bet that it's easy to not feel like an entire person after a day of that. The guy following her would've been scary to me - I'm sure she was terrified by it. I can understand her not wanting to be bombarded by guys wanting to fuck her every time she goes to the store. I think she has a point and…

What about The Hunchback? Poor Quasimodo treats Esmerelda like a queen, he's the nicest and kindest soul around and she still goes for the handsome knight instead.

I like that he goes to the gym in a hoodie. Not showing off, not worried about the approval of others. He's doing what he has to do to meet his goals.

If I see getting cut as an improvement to my body that matters to me, I think it'd be just as beneficial as lifting. And take a lot less effort. And, frankly, I'm not proud of it - not sure how to do a 180 and start being proud of it. And thanks for the comment. I genuinely appreciate it.

I don't want to ignore them and don't know how I could do that if I wanted to. I don't think its an unlucky thing. I think girls generally prefer cut and maybe the ones I was rejected were more extreme about it than most, but I still think the preference exists. Thanks for your feedback!

This is a problem for me. I'd so much rather play video games and chill at home than work on my career. That kind of thing doesn't make me happy at all.

29 year old here. I certainly feel like my prime years were 21-25 and its all downhill from here. Even if it is true that a man's prime is 30+, I think its worthwhile to tell guys that their prime is earlier so they start earlier and don't procrastinate. I wasted my prime and its a very depressing thing. Anything that can be done to have young guys avoid that fate would be beneficial, in my opinion.

I doubt it. Most women want a man taller than them. Thank you for teaching me the definition of solipsism btw.

The height stuff kills me. Being tall just seems like such easy-mode compared to being short.

Haven't seen the movie yet but how does Affleck change throughout the relationship with Amy? He seemingly starts as an alpha male, gets beta in the relationship, then becomes ??? by the end.

I'm not sold on NoFap/NoPorn. If I watch a lot of horror movies I don't know that it desensitizes me to real life horror - it desensitizes me to horror movies.

I wonder how those housewives treat their husbands sexually? It would be telling if all these women are reading a book in bed about being fucked by an alpha then turning a cold shoulder to their beta husbands.

I'm keeping an eye on this thread. I'm nearing 30 and have practically 0 experience with women. My guess is that no one will say it's too late but that will have little effect on your (or my) feelings about it. It's nice to feel self-pity and its hard to stop.

It's interesting that that would still be relevant today. I think a short wealthy guy wouldn't even be preferred over a tall middle class guy.

Thanks for the post. I can't believe how important height is. It's strange. It's so universal that it must be some hard-wired thing.

Thank you. If you're still in early blue-to-red mode, avoid this woman at all costs! This part was confusing, though. Why avoid them? Sounds like a fun time..

For what it's worth, the guys I've known who've cheated didn't own up to it either. When I cheated, I didn't.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
