Took the advice I remembered from somewhere around here and told her that I'd ask her next time if she only needs to vent or if she needs my help. She actually told me that I don't even need to ask. Knowing that I'm willing to help if she asks for it is enough for her to feel loved. Guess it hurt my ego and I was being butthurt about her going to another guy for help when it was something that I'd easily deal with.

My thoughts exactly. I was afraid that I came out too forward and maybe scared her off by calling her out on it. I suppose that by playing it right you mean continue talking normal and escalate when I see her?
