Hmm your comment makes sense though, narcissism and the gaslighting that comes with it might actually be LVM’s adaptive attempt to get women to settle for them.

In my book that’s way more socially acceptable than paying for a man’s dinner 🤷‍♀️

I mean there’s minoxidil and androgen blockers which stop and even reverse hair loss if they catch it early on, but oh right nvm self care is for women & simps

I love that he’s balding. With those wrinkles and eyebags, I would say the caricature is about 23 years old.

Or you could just ask your wife what it is that she likes, ask her for feedback and continuously improve, instead of assuming she’s into whatever degrading acts you’ve seen in porn and/or things other girls before her liked? Oh right sorry, that requires effort and dropping your ego for a second.

As someone who grew up with a narcissistic father, none of these strategies work. It’s a chronic disease, it never goes away and you can’t change its course. No (or minimal) contact is the only way to go.

Me too girl, but then I realize that some of them thrive on that too. Don’t bother.

Hahaha this whole story is basically a transcript of Ryan Gosling’s character in Crazy, Stupid, Love. I watched that movie when I was 14-15 and even then, with absolutely zero dating experience, I thought it was completely ridiculous how Emma Stone’s character just changed a man’s whole persona by talking to him for like 3-4 hours.

Oh wow, now that’s a serious game changer. And as an added bonus, you actually end up with something that’s quantifiable, be it a cheesecake or a pinterest diy project. Stellar advice!

Welcome! I’m glad to pay it forward. Have fun reading the handbook, I’m sure you’ll love it! :)

I remember reading an article that stated the fact that we have twice as many female ancestors as male ancestors: that’s because it was the norm for women to bear children but it used to be very difficult for men to procreate: the HVM who proved their worth had one or more children, while the lower value men had zero (so it evened out). I think it is our duty and virtue, by nature, to keep selecting for high value men, and therefore decimate the LVM population.

Thank you so much for this! These are all very helpful tips. Also, if you’re like me (i.e. having high expectations, making up fantasies that will 99% never happen), it’s useful to remember: he’s LVM until proven otherwise. Good luck out there! :)

I have triple D’s on an average frame, and they’re sagging ever since I got them at 13 (because, you know, gravity). If it helps I also hate dating (and especially the first time you get to see each other naked) because men expect women with natural bodies to look like the top grossing pornstars who spend half of their income on surgery. Unfortunately for us, it is damaging no matter your cup size.

Apologies, can’t link on my mobile browser. One of the top comments is by a girl who runs an Onlyfans account, whose boyfriend loves that she runs it, as “her nudes pay for his pizza” 😐😐😐 I am so sorry for her.

Gee, I wonder where they got the idea of randomly sticking fingers up a woman’s anus. Or the idea that it’s gonna come out perfectly clean.

I’m so sorry to say this, but this sounds like triangulation, the most common manipulation strategy of narcissists. Comparing you to other women in subtle ways which make you doubt yourself slowly, but surely. Once the self doubt has begun installing itself, you can hardly go back to trusting him (I sadly know this from my own experience). If I were you, I would tell him how uncomfortable it made me feel. If he shows remorse, apologizes, reassures you and unfollows those models, then maybe you c…

Thank you for this! My cousin had to buy her own ring because her significant other couldn’t bother to find out what kind of ring would be to her liking. He just handed her over his credit card. The pickmes in my family all agreed that “WeLl, hE pAiD fOr iT sO hE oBvIoUsLy CaReS” 😐 PS: I love your taste! All these rings are gorgeous :)

This. I am in my 20s and I just can’t help noticing how bad men my age look compared to us. I am talking crow’s feet, wrinkled foreheads, deep creases on their necks. I have honestly never seen these in a woman under the age of 45+. And they have all of these by the time they’re 25!

I live in a country where skin cancer is rampant. This might be a little specific, but this is actually how I filter out some men. I am very passionate about skincare and I also am very pale so I am religious about reapplying my sunscreen every 2-3 hours. I tell men about this on one of the first few dates, and watch their reaction: if they disagree and say that SPF is useless, gives you cancer, that they would never apply it, it’s too much effort etc I know they don’t care about their own healt…

I agree with you. My narcissistic father proposed to my mother after 9 months; she only begun seeing the red flags a few months after they were married. Be careful, if you feel rushed into something the outcome is almost always in someone else’s favor.

Damn, you’re right. I forgot that in Economics people are deemed as rational, but this does not apply to men in this case.

Am I the only one who finds it weird that his only quality that she listed was... his height? Like she didn’t say that she stuck by his side for his brains, personality, the way he looked after her, sense of humor etc. That pretty much says it all.

Damn, this is exactly what happened in two different shows I’ve watched. Apparently it’s so common that it’s now a tv trope.

I believe that just like in Economics, the market determines the equilibrium: if all women rise their standards, those scrotes will have no choice but to treat women the way they want to be treated. That or die alone in their parents’ mold filled basement.

I like how this goes both ways. If you choose to be a pickme, that will cost you high value people and relationships. If you choose to hold yourself to high standards, that will cost you low value people, relationships and those kind of additions to your life. As the saying goes: birds of a feather flock together :)

Damn, you can almost smell the cognitive dissonance. Thousands of years of evolution and monogamy vs your three girl friends telling you that your LVM jerking off to 3 different women a day is ok because their equally LVM told them it’s “normal”.

Preach! I remember a few weeks ago someone on here said that getting choked by your partner is one of the most significant predictors of homicide. Really puts that whole “choke me daddy” culture into perspective.

This is a heart breaking read. I am Eastern European, and the fall of the communist block about 30 years ago has left us with grossly outdated laws on children’s rights. Contraception and abortion were banned in quite a few countries during the communist period; the outcome? Understaffed orphanages full of young, vulnerable children. I know that in the 90’s plenty of westerners (all male, of course) wrote guides on how to groom those children, because people here were desperate for money. This a…

This reminds me of Samantha breaking up with Richard in Sex and the City because she couldn’t trust him anymore. “I love you, but I love me more” is the only good mindset in that show.

This is extremely sad and misleading indeed, I come from Eastern Europe; Here, videochat companies spend unbelievable amounts of money on marketing, ads etc to trick young, impressionable women into thinking that they can make up to 5k USD a month (which is a lot of money in Eastern Europe, especially since it’s almost always tax deductible), get free stuff, live a glamorous lifestyle just by “talking” to men online. A lot of them end up earning barely more than the local minimum wage while havi…
