I’ll disagree. I think people get polarized more and more these days, so I’ll agree there. That’s a problem though because people are becoming increasingly divided, and if we choose to accept that as a society we are choosing narcissism and close-mindedness as okay traits that should be allowed to persist. The only difference in changing peoples minds today compared to 50 years ago is understanding you don’t get your info from your neighbor like yesteryear and everybody has some psychological ne…

Oxford: the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. How you use it is your call, but understanding it is how you understand people. Add that to conversational awareness and minor levels of creativity and what you say is good to go. After that it’s body language, being relaxed while you do it like you’ve been there before, and a sprinkle of positive energy so people want to be around you. People are gonna sense when you fake that, but if you make that your standard, it becomes au…

Empathy can be used to determine mindsets and how people think. It’s not just think of others, rather their perspective.

It’s Social skills. People just have less experience in general and are worse at it because they don’t have to do as much face to face interaction with phones and internet. So unless you were in an environment where you have to do those things, or you were motivated by other motives to do those things, I think people are just generally worse. Coming from generations of small town southern salespeople, but growing up in a new big city every 4-6 years people think I have confidence and charisma mo…

Yes, fortunately I can be openly opinionated as hell at the cost of internet points. In real life that costs personal relationships and possibly career opportunities, when I’d rather just say something witty get a laugh and let the people who need this in real life run their mouths and pay those costs.

When there is a need to share opinions, it comes from somewhere. Most people don’t need to share though. People tend to be looking for confirmation to boost their confidence on whatever it is when that is the case. That need comes from insecurity. People who have gotten that boost from others with that trait have a harder time finding common ground when disagreements of opinion occur. There’s less room for empathy and consideration when a disagreement itches an insecurity. That leads to bigger a…

Yup. I have plenty of opinions. A lot of them are better left unspoken because they would hurt people when there is no need. Needing everyone around you to know exactly how you feel is just weird to me when you can be confidant in your own feelings without sharing them to all. Lack of tact and social grace associated would make me hesitate at best. With that said, I far prefer people with strong opinions to those with none.

I don’t think this complicated question needs to be as hard as we make it. Someone who meets your standards simply. Send the rest back to app land. We develop them over time, so if you can’t nail down your own yet think about what you have learned through your dating experience or go date. Red flags are a bs term. There are things you can and can’t look past, no need to sugar coat it. Gotta see people as they are and decide at points whether you keep going or not. No right or wrong answers here …

Honestly I’ve been teetering the fence on having them, always have been. But you better be sure as shit I’ll dad the heck out of those little snot goblins if I do. If whoever I settle down with wants them I’m 100% down, I just don’t see a point in advertising it. That’s a huge part sure, but I’m not picking the people I stay with for longer term based on that.

You have to understand people have likely been that way for a good while(childhood), and neither understand the difference nor feel they have the ability to lose the weight. I have been 3% body fat, I have been obese at 290. Because I wrestled, I dropped 90 over a summer like it was nothing. People generally don’t have that comfortability with hunger or tie eating to emotions.

Also in priorities and security in self in general. With career, hobbies, and people taking up room, it’s just low on the totem pole whether it happened first night or after a few weeks. When people have nothing else to focus on, or don’t have great emotional stability on their own. People tend to use relationships as crutches to provide that. Nothing wrong with asking where you stand. If you do it that soon after hooking up like we’ve had happen, chances are good it’s not just that.

Well I think it comes from a trait people tend to have in common, selfishness. People want their kids to have the qualities that lead to success. People also want their partner to cater to their needs and think about them rather than those qualities in their kids. People just tend to have a viewpoint limited to themselves. At the end of the day I’d rather have an equal than someone that caters to me, but I’m sure my life experience that lead to that desire is extremely atypical. Who wants to nev…

Let’s shoot straight here. The people who would ask you that are people who are insecure in their own abilities. Most of us don’t care enough to want to know or would like to not. If we’re going to play that guessing game though, you can’t really be too offended because we deserve it for playing stupid games. After all, the only things you win are stupid prizes.

Sex is also just one area. If they mention the sex outside of the convos about it. Yeah it probably is that. If not, and they tend to back off more and more over time despite happy initially without that, the picture becomes murkier. Only you know your experiences though and can judge them.

Best way to explain it is wanting to get laid is selfish in nature. Caring about another person is not. A certain level of maturity involved is required for that we just haven’t developed yet when we are younger.

I think it’s the Reddit crowd more than anything. It’s probably less creepy to the crowd on here because maturity wise they’re likely on the same level, or don’t have the same life experience. In that case I can’t really judge them by the same standards I hold myself or those around me to.

I don’t know, whenever one of my buddies will date half a decade or more down we would always refer to whatever girl it was as “the child” and yes to whoever his face was. There were no good job bro’s, we said that cause it was fucking creepy 18-22 year olds are children compared to being in your mid to late twenties and we all know it, none of us want to be associated with that shit.

I don’t understand the empathy here. When life slaps you like it’s going to, do you lay on the ground and whine or do you get back up and learn how not to get slapped the same way. If you go to a strip club you know the deal. If you get used for your money you are a terrible judge of character. As an adult you should know your finances. All of this is basic shit. I can’t find pity for people who have no good reason to be that stupid. The only situations that deserve sympathy are taking advantage…

I disagree but I think alpha and beta idea is a huge fucking joke. I am the son of a boomer who had an alcoholic father. People love him and gravitate to him, and I’ve been similar in my mid 20s. When it comes to emotionally connecting with anyone personally, he can’t do it well. He’s good at sensing them, and being kind, considerate, and straightforward as a way of interacting with them but he just cannot express his own like they don’t exist. It’s like ice cream. Small gov is tasty until you’ve had too much. This idea is about as useful as a cardboard canoe. Could it work for you sure, are both of you gonna sound crazy for both sharing and not being slightly weirded the hell out? Absolutely. You are just gonna set your relationship dynamics as being extremely needy and with someone that eats that up if they stay which is a huge yikes. It’s a free country. I come from farming roots where animals are there to work and earn their keep the same as us, but if they fill that emotional need and that’s what you want to do go for it. Make sure you understand you will need an executor to manage that you trust who will not take advantage of that account, without that you might as well sign it over to the state upon death.

Those with inexperience or insecurity tend to care more. Unless you have certain strict religious values you hold near and dear, I don’t see a reason to care. If health is above board, and hopefully you all are smart enough to pick people who will say something if not, it doesn’t matter or define anything. Usually those of us with higher n counts will tend to be more stable when we do settle, because we know what the grass over there is really like and it’s not as green as it appears.

If there’s something I can improve at I’d like to know. Feeling like you’re the best is great, but if everyone is having a great time does it matter? If I don’t like something I’ll try to tactfully say it, but it will be said. If you don’t communicate there is no chance of getting better. No, and even if that was the case they make viagra for that. Before kids I get to have some level of selfishness and choose for myself in that department. After that the happiness and wellbeing of my spouse and children will come before that and many other things unimportant in comparison. It is how I was raised, and how I will my own. There are 35 million people in the US in 25-34 age range for me. If half of those are female and half are single (about 9mill). If one out of 20 is into me for whatever reason, that’s 450,000 possible matches. Chances are good I will at least run into a few no matter where I live if I’m not a shut in.

Recognition of this is key. There is a social drive somewhere to fit whatever we think the mold is. Once you recognize for what it is, just live your life who cares. I remember that time period too though, I never understood the attraction to skinny even when I was a teen.

That would be a uniform consensus for the one not picked, but we are human which means that chocolate bar if we added 20 people to this it would be to someone’s taste so it doesn’t exist. Even if someone is unattractive, there’s still people out there into whatever that means.

Yea I don’t like objectifying a way of life in a place I am not from, but it is objectively true. I wouldn’t say it’s even close to Muslim people in the west in my experience, especially second generation or later. Our culture, values, and history are just completely antithetical.

I agree with you. I’m at dr. Pepper numbers, and I enjoy my stints where I have no sex much more than with regular sex. Not having to communicate well, consistently keep in touch, or do things I wouldn’t particularly choose to on my own are much more valuable to me in time saved. Anyone saying it is actually a need to survive needs more focus and prioritization in life.

Women also tend to talk about it much more. When’s the last time anyone’s been chilling with their boys and started a discussion on how they look in their shirt. If you don’t look around and figure it out, you’re only gonna learn what to wear by error. Therefore, men are always gonna be slightly behind till we’re adults and it’s fine. It’s not something crazy or hard to get at a certain point.

I’ve never seen men that can talk to women fail to find anyone when motivated. Below average dudes in heights and looks hitting it out of the park seems like a norm to me. I think that position has its strengths. I pick RP due to the fact that it is easier to teach controling your emotions, not caring about the opinions of others enough to be molded by them and being your own man, and to be your own judge of character at least for me. I think you are very black and white on this. In general you can make your point, but also take that with the nuance not everyone wants the things you do. This view discounts the fact that people change over time. Would you rather have someone who has never had a wild phase in their lives, but some part of them, big or small, is always going to wonder. Wow this post has a lot of hot takes. There are many reasons for submissiveness. This post seems to be bedroom focused. I only have my own experience to go by. I think it is important to both genders though, who wants to not feel that attraction to somebody you pick. Only way anyone is ever gonna learn that is getting out there and seeing where you stand, and judging where improvement has to happen if someome does not like the results. Some things are what they are but mindset, what you saying, and to a certain extent looks is something everyone does.

I’m fortunate enough to live close to the area of night life in my city. I meet a lot of women on the weekends so I would guess I’m in the minority on this one for my gender. If desire is not showed on the other side why would I pursue, it’s a waste of time in that department. Friends? sure because they will have other friends and who knows if I’m their taste. Attention makes it more likely I clear some schedule room.

No. Marying young leads to a lack of personal growth. Having less life experience, independence, and self-sufficiency due to being able to shoulder that will lead to worse marriages even if it means less of them. You grow more on your own than with an emotional support blanket. Sometimes you get emotionally scarred, but most of the time you will always get stronger and better for it. It’s always a risk, and people tend to shy away but how else do you learn other than the adventure experience and…

Casual sex is available to me. It happens on nights when I want to go out and there’s a deal going on like a pint night somewhere. Sometimes it’s the weekends when I go to the bar or club. Weekdays it’s women I know that I just enjoy being around, the sex is nice but I enjoy the emotions and passion even though I don’t feel it outside the moment. Weekends it’s usually strangers, and only when I get drunk enough to forget I enjoy sleeping in my own bed alone on nights I get to sleep in. u/brillia…

Could be case by case. NPD would never do well for long with volatility involved in BPD. That volatility at any time is damaging and I would assume they couldn’t handle that. Definitely could see it though if they are just lacking any validation whatsoever in that arena, pennies for a pound.

Absolutely, balance is key. Have a voice but don’t rule over it. Feel empowered, but don’t abuse that feeling. There’s good and bad with about every philosophy. It’s just basics in personal relationships.

I would say some of the red pill things I hear would make it more likely you meet that type of woman. In all honestly though, narcissists are generally going to find empaths because the emotional needs are very similar even if the end result is super toxic. Narcissism which is caused by severe insecurity, would never go for long with a partner that showed very little, or is more unstable than them.

You’re not wrong with the availability point. The first comment also has validity too. Honeymoon phase is banging about every time you see each other, but after that u/JumboJetz is right in that regard. Sometimes it’s more than me, sometimes it’s less. Last sentence is a little different because people get different things from the experience. I enjoy showing some confidence and charisma at a bar for what is hopefully a hot one nighter. Depends on age, maturity, and experience honestly. Some people put up with those insecurities. I don’t see a point because people do what they want to do, who cares. I know I’m going to think other women are attractive probably more of the time, and even if I didn’t I won’t say no the sex drive involved there. Unless somebody’s taking action about those things it’s a useless worry, and if they are people give ques in some form.

Yea we also use it as a definitive adjective when in reality if we want to look at it closely we all have some alpha and some beta traits. What comes off more to an observer is the word used to define.

I’d say it’s cultural. If we didn’t watch other people do it for centuries or some variant, we probably wouldn’t do it too. It’s ingrained at this point. Doesn’t have to have a reason just is what it is, neither good nor bad at this point. As a man it’s attractive without a doubt. I’m sure for women there’s a variety of reasons because I’m not the person wearing it.

Truth, Life hits different and the people around you and you meet do too. It’s one of those things you think you get, and understand how to navigate until you have to do it. Life’s gonna teach a whole lot more than any comments regarding that phase. Only exception is class, if you’re comfortable and have money, you rarely are forced to grow and learn lessons the same way or at the same rate.

I hear about that so there is definitely some truth to it, in my experience if you want it you just tell a girl you’re casual with to bring a friend. How my buddies that have wanted it got it. Never been my own thing though, was invited twice in undergrad and only one of those was two women (the other was a couple who “liked my vibes”) and always at Halloween parties for some reason.

They are valid because there’s never anything wrong with how you feel. How you vocalize, act, and work through this has been the differentiating factor and why I see group A as I do. Opinions can change and might over time. With the square peg round hole reference I do agree because everyone’s dating experience is individualistic. Some people truly don’t enjoy it and that’s ok. From a group C’er, I always analyze three things. What did I like and what did I learn that I want to take with me, what did I not like and how did it make me feel that I don’t want to repeat, and what were the things I did that created a dynamic I did not enjoy. After 2-5 months post a long term relationship I’m usually good to go. Space always helps too. I archive, block, and delete to speed things along.

I find group A to be naive and inexperienced or alternatively, super serious and forgetting that dating is supposed to be fun. Past undergrad, group A is exceedingly rare and that is a good thing. It goes both ways women are just as willing to put up with bullshit and crazy just as much as guys are ok being whipped welcome mats and go along with crazy shit. To your main point about that opinion, yes I agree it’s both shitty and unreasonable for us as men to think like that. Where I disagree is that there’s only two ways it goes. There’s different nuance, variation, and reasons things go a certain way. If you want to see how open people are emotionally and connect with them on that level, ask those questions. Hooking up at its core is a numbers game. More women is more opportunity. Even if 70% of women would never fuck with someone 5’4” (and that’s an exaggeration in my experience), that still leaves you 3 out of ten. If you spend 3 minutes talking to 40 chicks at the bar/club over the course of a night feeling people you’ll probably end up with 5 numbers and going home with one of the ones that was really into it. Yes, us men in general just socialize different. Most of us make friends by hobby and social life activity (same places/frequency) rather than inferred social status. This limits how involved we become with each other lessening the mental valuation of others opinions or how much we regularly share personal info in general. This varies slightly by class. My male friends that have cared too much tend to have done so because of individual insecurity. Men and women are generally different in how the…

Way I see it, the worlds gonna take advantage of you if you let it. Women are part of that world same way shitty friends are. I would assume validation. You have to think his confidence is low, so attention from a chick he thinks is hot feeds his ego. Even if he has no shot. Also because his confidence is low, he’s probably bad at meeting new people so he needs that dopamine hit and comes back for more. Does he want sex or think he can get there, he probably does. The core reason though is validation because of a lack of confidence and basic social skills.

At the same time if you’re young or havnt had the experiences necessary to learn the lessons, I can understand it to a degree. I think the biggest things for me to reflect on after breakups/divorce and what’s helped me, is what were the good things that I should keep going for myself? What did I not like about who they were or how I was feeling? What about the relationship dynamics do I not want to re-occur? 25M I notice a lot of dates have some life experience now. It’s nicer. The people who carry a lot of emotional baggage are much easier to spot out and avoid. It’s also a place where if you find someone it’s nice, and if you don’t it’s also nice.

Also a man. I think we view dating differently. For me it’s an experience more than an end goal. Do I want to find someone I’d like to get to that end goal with? Sure. Do I care if it doesn’t happen? No. I expect to have a good time getting know someone, or being absolutely entertained by bad dates. Even on the good ones I may not go on another. I don’t expect anything, but if we go home together, we go home together. Paying for a date is a good excuse to go do something fun, so I truly don’t mi…

I’m 6’4” and fairly attractive, but the women who go after me all love attention usually to an unhealthy degree. I grew up around sales, so when I go out I meet everyone and make everyone laugh. Then by the time I get to them, they’ve watched what I’ve been doing and are extremely attracted to it. Attractiveness, education, and income potential has always been similar. Personality wise have usually been very different. Personally I fucking hate attention but like being invited to go do things, a…

People are more attracted to people others hold in good esteem. It’s basic stuff, but harder in a practice. Next time you go to a party talk, laugh, and have a good time with a lot of the people there before you go talk to who you want to. Don’t try this at a bar, that’s a different beast.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/21 04:08 AM

Absolutely. I think it also depends on the man. If you go hiking (or anything outdoors) with me, get me tickets to a concert, game, or movie, I honestly enjoy that shit more than sex. Sex is great, but going on an adventure to see something new is what really keeps my blood flowing and keeps me happy. Being a caring person is not hard, a little bit of thoughtfulness and empathy goes a long way. People and their needs and pleasures are too complicated to put in a simple formula.

Had an agreeableness of 7 but 80 plus in everything else. The thing that has helped me the most is keeping my opinions to myself. I tend disagree with others regularly, but learning I don’t really care if someone thinks I’m right or is just spouting uneducated bullshit has helped tremendously.

Yea dude, self reflection is key to everything you do in life. You cannot make people do it but realization is the first step in fixing your issues. Some shit you can’t fix, but you can definitely work on. God knows I still try and work on mine. Meeting people who are the same way feels rare these days.

It’s a skill like anything else, the more you do it the better you’ll be. Also you really don’t give a fuck, in a life where we meet tens of thousands of people not one persons opinion really matters. Good advice. Your conclusions, are good and come from life experience I would assume most people on here don’t have or haven’t experienced yet. Walking away is a skill that comes inately, or is learned over time. Time is the most precious resource we have, if I don’t feel that spark or am not crazy about something I leave. It really depends on situation. At the bar or out around people you don’t know well and alcohol, not being a nice guy will definitely get you laid more. You also have to deal with a lot more, and hopefully you don’t get yourself in trouble or make a bad name for yourself because that success will stop quick. Personally I’d consider myself a decent guy, and most of my female friends have tried to fuck me at some point. In social circles women will respect decent guys, as long as you’re not pander…

Correct. It’s about possible draw time. If it’s hidden they have to reach for it down the pants or in a jacket. I can beat that depending on where current attention is and space. If it’s holstered and a glock the most common pistol, then I can grab the slide it will not fire. I can’t beat that from two steps. If it’s a holstered magnum or other side arm I’m fucking off. If it’s a rifle or shotgun, well we’re in for a mass shooting so fuck it fight because your life depends on it.

I’m a dude, but as a universal truth I understand. If I have choices I get to be picky. For guys who aren’t as fortunate in that department I get it too. It’s just one of the things I need in a LTR. People gotta have their own interests, but if you can’t enjoy some of the same things and make it a routine It’s not as fun. But that’s one piece of the pie.

wholeheartedly disagree, that’s how social circles become incesty in my experience. Finishing conversations over the apps is absolutely boring and a chore. Talking to a girl I don’t know when I’m out takes less than 5 minutes for me to decide if I want to keep talking, or go meet another new person. Talking to people face to face forges a much better interpersonal connection than the apps will ever make.

It’s just young immaturity. I’m still not great at getting aggressively hit on by women I’m not interested in. I just give uncomfortable body language, then find any reason to walk away. People more immature than I will say mean shit, but we’ve all had mean shit said to us at some point so who cares. For me it’s a combination of weight and what I can gather out of a 5 minute conversation. If I get bored talking to someone or see traits I don’t like, I’m disinterested.

I’d assume that a good portion of men aren’t only there for sex. I go on dates to see if I find people interesting. If I’m bored or see a bunch of flags, why the fuck am I taking that girl home to stay in my bed till noon the next day. Sex without any emotion feels numbing.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/21 07:08 AM

How about we start with empathy, understanding, and humor. You don’t need to be selling a false version of yourself, to make enough of a connection with a girl to take her home. That sounds positively painstaking. I’d say about 70% of the women I’ve had the pleasure of going home with didn’t want a relationship, just someone fun to be with for a night or a few weeks. I’m not a top 20% dude, but why put yourself through that hell when you can just go to the bars, parties, or events and talk to gi…

Bingo. Learn to empathize and you can better understand women and how to filter men. It both makes your relationships more thoughtful affairs and allows you to read others quicker.

Who actually gives a fuck if someone watches porn? I wouldn’t care if my girlfriends did. I don’t understand the stigma. Why should anyone be limited by how they choose to pleasure themselves in their free time.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/21 05:54 PM

Man if I don’t feel any chemistry of passion with a girl, I don’t want to take her to bed. My sex drive is attached to passion, so if I don’t feel any it feels mundane. If I find someone interesting looks only matter up to a certain point.

Yup, I’ll add that TRP and FDS are 2 sides of the same coin. Things that could have some good value, but are warped and used as ideological shields by previously broken and abused people. Don’t take your life advice from the internet, live it yourself and learn from what you do.

I think that once a cheater isn’t always a cheater. People change and grow over time. People at some point have to face their own insecurities. I don’t think you made the wrong call here because there’s no set time period where people make this change, and it doesn’t sound like there would be trust. I also think that cheats on you, will always cheat on you. For people who do get cheated on, the type of growth mentioned doesn’t happen while you are still in the security blanket of a relationship.…

When was abuse mentioned by me or op? Are you ok?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/21 03:20 AM

Yes. Some of my female friends are like that and isolate themselves. Others stay the exact same. Everyone is different and reacts differently. Important thing is to remember this shit isn’t about you. People just behave differently in various situations. Most of the isolationists shoot me a text whenever they break up or are unhappy and wanna get back in the social circle and that’s cool too. It really shouldn’t affect you either way, this isn’t a personal thing.

I respect it, and no one is going to go out of their way to teach you that shit. In a world based on relationships with others being needed to get ahead, it does pay off. If you’re looking for dating or relationship advice. I don’t think you’re gonna find it in a book or from any of us. experience. You have to go out and date to get better at it and learn to handle each situation better each time. We each learn at different rates, just make sure you are learning.

1) where are you looking? Some people do better online/others in person. Also includes types of events you’re going to. 2) how well can you have good time and be fun to be around? You gotta be able to strike up conversations at the drop of a hat, and be able to not take yourself too seriously. 3) how do you respond to interest? Are you an emotional person, that’s terrible for casual. Do you blow peoples phones up, that’s bad. Do you want to take someone home that night? Women will smell the thir…

I think the bigger question is how do you want to better yourself as man? For me that’s self accountability, integrity, confidence in myself, and how I can be a positive figure for those around me. That’s what I saw in my old man, so that’s what it means to me and what I try to focus on and struggle with occasionally.

I mean sure trolls will send hate your way. I think the difference is overweight and obesity. Overweight is fine, on some it’s sexy. Obese and crossing that line of 30BMI is an actual health problem. 33% of healthcare spending in the US is because of that number. Having a partner with a likely future of high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, and many other associated problems combined with lower energy levels and higher likelihood for mental health events just isn’t for me. There are many…

/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/21 11:16 PM

There’s also the fact that the apps are boring. I want to go talk to women at events parties or bars. I want to meet interesting people who also wanted to go have fun, I don’t want the other schmuck lying on their couch swiping. I want to talk to someone for 5 minutes to see if I enjoy the conversation, and see who they are in that snapshot before deciding to move on to the next person there. The whole app experience just kinda pales in comparison, messaging is a chore.

Exactly I expect to be chosen first, and no hard feelings if not. Definitely not gonna be waiting around though. Not a reason to ever be mean to someone like some comments suggest, but there’s too many other people to meet to get stuck on one person that said no.

Man, just do whatever the fuck you want. TRP works for you great. TBP works? Cool. Just be authentic in whatever you choose to do and however you choose to do it, or you’ll be miserable. Both have their good points, but have holes and flaws. If you need a guide to meet people and make connections with others in aspects of human interaction, I think you’re missing the point of it. From a male perspective, no to all these things. I think the issue is dating bad people. People who feel entitled to things they shouldn’t are time, energy, and income vortexes. Let the bloodsuckers feast on each other. The actual importance of this is to be able to filter out people efficiently and to be able to do the free-est thing in the world, walk away.

Depends on time period. If that was a year ago I don’t care. If that was last month, would be a red flag. Number doesn’t matter. Why would I ever care how many people you’ve slept with, when the only thing I can make my own judgements on is your pattern of behavior. When one of my female friends who has abandonment issues makes a scene, it is because she needs and likes the attention. That has not changed in years. Honestly it’s a broad category for me. Whether it’s one night stands or friends with benefits it all falls similarly for me. But that’s just been my experience. I wouldn’t call it casual if you’re actively going on dates and trying to get know someone. I also think while you’re in a non-committed relationship you can date multiple people. Now you can’t be surprised that when people find out they won’t be hurt by it. I stopped doing that pretty early on in my dating life because of how the women …

How I read it is why I would never ship it. People who like casual sex tend to take comfort in people. I take comfort in music, impulse projects, and my imagination. Taking someone home from the bar means less free time the next day. It’s also an impulsive and reckless decision (because when I’ve done it has been so that’s how I see it). My lizard brain removes sex with any emotional connection, which my partners have not done. So doing it has hurt others in the past, which has removed a lot of …

They are but that’s not the issue. You just got a bad string of dates. Some of us are assholes, some of us are good dudes. Being on the apps means you run into more of the former than the latter. Projection. People tend to put their insecurities on others before working them out for themselves. It extends across the internet. We all join echo chambers we like. Number one reason is money trouble. This stems from a lack of communication. Have it and most problems can be easily overcome. Rip the bandaid off and stop communicating. Longer you wait harder it is to do. There are lots of people out there I hope you find someone that treats you better. Don’t feel bad for feeling jealous it’s called being human. As long as you don’t act out of those feelings you’ll be alright. You have done together things you have had to do. Your thoughts and feelings on the subject matter and should be treated that way. Maturity would be a better word I guess. Youth is more geared to the kids that do it in real life and to the extent of gifts and a legitimate amount of time.
