The really interesting thing here is what the interviewee said about the video process. That man spent 10 months in jail because evidence was taken as a pre-recorded video, which was than not tested in any way until the case came to trial. Had it been tested, the accuser's lie might have been found much earlier. This sounds very much like the pre-recorded video that UK justice secretary Liz Truss is now introducing for adult women accusers, having trialled it with vulnerable children.

Objectively, I'd agree. As a student, I had a job cleaning municipal buildings during the summer break. Without exception, the women's and girls' changing rooms and other facilities were in a much worse state. In the UK, there was the case of Jay Cheshire. He was accused of rape and arrested. The charge was later dropped. But he hanged himself. And then his mother, unable to carry on, also killed herself. If that case was used as a basis for changing the way the law operates, then we'd be seeing new protections for the accused. But it was very much ignored by the establishment. Wasn't there also a survey that tracked the hours spent on domestic labor, rather than relying solely on self-reporting? I've been thinking for a while, that it would be interesting to do a definitive study of all the Title IX allegations of rape and sexual assault that have been made since the 'Dear Colleague' letter. That's really interesting. Do you have source for this stat? I try and collect them for when this f***ing topic comes up, which it does again and again. I'll try and look out the study in which the researchers specifically say that they excluded the type of work that men do, because DIY is a hobby that people do for enjoyment.
