Seriously... "a safe space half the time..." My wife is verbally abusive. Not so much that she wouldn't get 50-50 custody though. She has family close by that would testify for her, they dont believe the problems. Right now, I can keep it check and balance it out. So you're saying I leave the kids with her 50% of the time completely unchecked? I came home yesterday to my son crying after she tried to help him with homework. I calmed it all down and was able to help him that night. So he would ha…

Yeah, 50-50. I meant half of the rest of their childhood. You have no idea what my situation is. You have no idea if things would be better for the kids if we separated. It's wildly arrogant of you to assume so much. I have friends where divorce really was the best option. That may be the case most of the time. It's certainly not 100% of the time. Some of the divorces were because the parents are selfish aholes that want to be able to party every other weekend at the cost of fucking up their kid…

Honestly, it's not even fair to the kids to do that because our finances suck so bad. We make a lot but wife spends a ton so we never get ahead with savings. Lately my strategy has been to just spend more. If it's in the bank, she'll spend it so may as well spend myself. I spend a ton on the kids ($1000 summer camp, be…

Golly gee, mister. I hadn't thought of it like that. Ok yeah, I'll leave my kids with this awful person half of their childhood so I can go find myself and live my truth. It's been a roller coaster of mostly bad for over 16 years. It's been completely bad for the last couple. I'm in the final stretch. Obviously, it's a long complicated story. That's not what this post is about though.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
