True, as long as you absolutely dominate the sexual arena, size really doesn't matter unless it is affecting your confidence.

It also helps to have a masculine voice, not just speaking succinctly and with authority, but actually having a deep pitch automatically changes people's perception of what you are saying.

I think one big step would be to rid ourselves of the culturally prevalent victimization mentality, which is especially present in females < 30.

If women naturally aren't as interested why try and make them? That seems silly, it would be like a program to try and get more men interested in cosmology school. Must we have exact 50/50 ratios of men and women in every area?

Women are very good at being trained and regurgitating that training, not so good at innovation. In other words, women can make fine math teachers, as far as mathematicians pushing the boundaries of human knowledge: mostly men.

These days geek doesn't so much mean socially awkward person who reads a lot and is really into science and math; it means hipster who has no real intellectual pursuits but watches Dr. Who and plays a few video games and thinks they are intellectual because of it.

Neuroscience shows that keeping your brain active and learning skills forms new and varied neural connections. Now i don't think anyone is going to boost their IQ 50 points or anything, but effort can be put forth to increase intelligence. Most people who are good at anything got there by practicing that skill—the 10,000 hours theory—even geniuses practice like hell, they just seem to get more out of that practice.

I agree with you in a sense: this is indeed how women feel. However your comparison to prison is off mainly for the reason that the majority of men—outside of prison—are not criminals who are going to take whatever they want from a woman, or man for that matter, without their consent.

That is hardly evidence of anything, especially relating to the possibilities of co-habitated shelters. If anything people who have been abused by either sex need exposure to members of both sexes so they don't end up generalizing and demonizing entire groups based on a select experience.

heterosexual sex is far more common than homosexual, thus the world normal can be used for heterosexual; this however does not making it wrong to be homosexual.

I rather like what Jiddu Krishnamurti had to say: I maintain that Truth is a pathless land, and you cannot approach it by any path whatsoever, by any religion, by any sect. That is my point of view, and I adhere to that absolutely and unconditionally. Truth, being limitless, unconditioned, unapproachable by any path whatsoever, cannot be organized; nor should any organization be formed to lead or to coerce people along any particular path. If you first understand that, then you will see how impo…

This is an interesting point: tattoos can be a signifier of personal body image. If one considers one's body a Maybach one would be significantly less likely to tattoo it, and if one did it would be inconspicuous. However some people see their bodies as more of a Geo Metro.

I think a large part of the difference is in what they consider "facts". While reasonable people consider facts to be supported by logic and empirical observation, feminists (speaking broadly) seem to think facts are things that just feel good to say.

It's true that most men want to fuck most women they see who are 7/10 or higher on looks, however men are actually committed. Even if they do go out and fuck attractive girls—usually because their wife isn't putting out—yet they will still stay committed in their marriages providing for their wife and children. Women are not committed, the moment they find a man who has more resources they will abandon the relationship. Many, even though shacking up with a man who makes more, will also still try…

Oy vey. Obviously individuals are more divergent than aggregate groups (men, women). If her opinion were well established in reality and not propaganda and hypocrisy i wouldn't mind that she (a singer) voices her opinion on political matters. Unfortunately the female apotheosizing and male degradation that was taught to me in school was from two male teachers, the problem is more complex than simply hiring more men. It already is, most sports programs allow for talented individuals to move ahead and advance to further leagues, and allow for talented females to compete with the males. However usually these girls who are talented compared to the other girls are only average or worse when compared with the males.

The roles were just different, there was about an equal amount of privilege that came along with the female role and the male role as there were limiting factors on what men and women could do. Men were as much victims through history as women were, usually just cast into different roles. The fact that we ignore male suffering in the past is really only a reflection of our culture's still prevalent bias towards women and against men.

I'm sorry but men and women on average are very different and if you can't see that then you simply have blinders on. That doesn't mean either sex is superior or inferior, they are simply incomparable because they are different. Men are more suited to certain things, women to others. Which isn't to say that there aren't masculine women and feminine men but, once again, on average.

It's a pretty juvenile and irresponsible mind set to say that someone is never growing up by opting out of having kids. After all, with so many societal problems, and an already burgeoning populace, isn't it irresponsible and egotistical to have children? I don't actively pursue or argue with people who choose to have children, but in my eyes they are making the more base (following their instincts rather than thinking) decision. Bearing witness to the many families with children around me i would say that most people are extremely confused about how to handle children. They often go for the quick and easy fix of yelling or threatening physical violence against the kids even over trivial issues. These children will then, more than likely, grow to raise their own children in a similar fashion. There really should be a mandatory course on raising children in high school or something.
/r/MensRights06/09/12 07:40 PM

Yes. Having trust in your kids and respecting them as individuals and free-agents will do far more for them psychologically than to be constantly hovering over them. It will also allow them to respect you as an individual, not simply as a caretaker, judge, and jury.

Thing is it is down to choice, you can't force women to work full-time/over-time instead of having and raising children, which by the way, most women want to have children and raise kids. This can be seen even in professional careers, many women get their degree, go into their field, then quit (or drastically reduce their hours) after about 5 years when they're married and want to start having kids and raising a family.

It is true that women were viewed as objects and property owned by men, however what you fail to mention is how society viewed men, which was and is as beasts of burden without value unless they were/are being worked for the benefit of society and the elite. I agree, i think constantly telling young men and boys that, "All men are rapists." will not have the positive outcome these feminists think it will. It's just going to psychologically damage men and boys to a greater extent than they already are which will likely lead to greater violence, including rape. Not only that but in the minds of those who are already inclined to rape it provides great justification: "Hey i can't help being a rapist, i'm a man after all!"

This is how most companies work, they don't give a shit about you, just your money. Daytime television and commercials are marketed almost exclusively to women, and many women love hearing and seeing men being mocked and depreciated, it helps sell products. However if she gets mad or sad, from simple everyday things, her ability to process drops considerably and she just seeks to rationalize her positions and warps reality to fit her notion…

I have a friend who is also pretty intelligent, however when she gets emotional it all flies right out the fucking window. That text thread of yours really reminds me of a few exchanges i've had with my friend. She is very smart but completely emotional and stupid when it comes to feminism/men's rights. It only happened recently too, she's adopted all sorts of strange new victim ideologies within the past few months--like i said, emotions = her intelligence gone completely.

Yes, interestingly Jesus had many contemporaries who were said to have performed miracles as well. Not to mention the historical accounts of other religions and their gods. What i'm saying is it is fine to accept Jesus as a historical figure but to believe he was the son of God based only on a text, is pushing it. It's not just rationalization and scapegoating of one's problems, studies have linked circumcision to alexithymia. It's higher in the US (circumcision common) than in Europe (circumcision uncommon). When you cause physical trauma, especially without anesthetic, to infants it can easily cause lifelong mental trauma as well.

Communism failed? Some "communist" (most communists i know would argue they weren't truly communist--Russia) countries failed but insofar as i know Cuba is still going strong. I'm not a communist but i just think it's funny how people so strongly associate communism with certain stereotypes. I think self-defense is completely justifiable, i don't agree with this, "violence is never acceptable" attitude. If a woman is attacking a man, he should be able to punch her in the face without being socially stigmatized.

...if women continue working the same jobs as men while being paid less, they are obviously willing to work for less. EDIT: Women, unlike the example of the Irish, aren't a minority, they are basically 1/2 the population, they could easily strike and remedy the situation were it true.

It's like the Irish a few hundred years ago, people hated them when they first came to America (many stereotypes associated with Blacks were also attributed to Irish at the time), but the Irish were willing to work for less money than most, so even employers who had a race issue against them hired them to become more profitable, they were willing to exploit them to line their pockets even though they thought of the Irish as degenerates. If as a society we are getting away with paying women less,…

I think of it more as a trait of personality, rather than a quota of how many people fucked. Difficult to explain, someone who enjoys sex is fine, but some people chase after sex so ravenously. The problem of drawing numbers go back to the ancient Greek philosophers: How many beans constitutes a heap? Or how much money does one have to have to be considered rich? If one has one less dollar than that amount, is one still not rich? ... Simply because i cannot answer the question doesn't mean the c…

No, some company would catch on, especially companies that don't require heavy physical labor and would start out earning their competitors who hire men and women. Companies make many decisions based purely on how profitable they will be, even if they were sexists running the company, i bet the millions they make would matter more to them.

As a guy if i'm attracted to more modest types, i'm a slut-shaming asshole (yes i've been accused of this by feminists simply by stating i'm not generally attracted to promiscuous women). If i'm attracted to promiscuous women i'm a pig. This game is rigged.

I agree, while the decision wasn't necessarily made by a feminist, this is the result of the feminist mentality that there must be exactly equal (or a female majority) in all fields otherwise it is "unfair" and "discrimination," even in fields women simply show significantly lower interest in occupying.

I agree, i can easily recognize my white privilege in society. While there are certain advantages and disadvantages associated with being male or female, no i do not recognize any male privilege. If anything my maleness does reflect certain discriminatory aspects against minorities if we ignore gender roles for a moment: harsher sentencing for similar crimes compared to women, more false accusations, higher likelihood of all violent acts (except rape) committed against me as a male from both mal…

There are slight advantages to being a minority in CERTAIN situations that most minorities aren't in, educational grants and lower standards for certain fields like government jobs due to affirmative action (which really is just insulting to minorities IMO) and a few government programs to aid minorities. I would like to add to this and ask, what is feminism doing to acknowledge that women can be aggressors and not just victims? I understand feminism is an extremely broad term and encapsulates many sub-philosophies, however the feminists i have come across largely don't seem to accept the notion that females can be anything other than victims, even when admitting that males have issues they seem to turn women into round-a-bout victims by solely blaming men for gender roles and "Patriarchy". Education discrimination? Encourage women to pursue careers in male-dominated fields, and one day it will no longer be necessary. Except it has been shown that encouraging women into fields doesn't necessarily increase their presence there. Feminists simply don't want to accept the fact that some fields are just not what most women are interested in, and it isn't because they aren't aware of these fields or because of gender roles. The reason you don't see as many women in science/math/engineeri…

I took several online tests for alexithymia and found out i test positive for it. I have large suspicion it is because i was circumcised as a child. Yes but unfortunately feminists have gotten away with these quotas for quite some time without actually providing any evidence that discrimination is occurring. They simply look at the fact that there are more male scientists and scream, "PATRIARCHAL DISCRIMINATION!" and men just go along with it. It's like the wage gap: If you look at the surface, it is true that men make more money than women, however if you look into WHY this is the case you find that it is because men make many different cho…

Yes isn't that why men are more prone to genetic mutation? So we see more cases of autism and other genetic mutations in men than women. Which is a double-edged sword, as men will get more beneficial and detrimental mutations over time. This is why we see more male savants than female savants. As i recall there was a professor who got fired somewhere in the Eastern US for doing research and publishing that there are more male geniuses, and idiots, because of this factor.

Thing is it isn't just this one event. More and more we see men being excluded from events like these and from the benefits of fundraisers. Also the same thing wouldn't be considered OK were it a "Whites only fundraiser," why should we tolerate similar simply because it relates to sex? It is the female entitlement attitude and white knights who have enabled this, let's stop supporting them.
