These incidents don't happen that frequently but when they do its on the front page. Most of the news is like that. Thats why I don't watch. Gotta learn how to swim before going to any open body of water. Some "friends" tried to get me to jump in a lake with no life jacket. I think people assume you can swim. A lot of well off children are born with pools in the backyard to practice. I for one wasn't one of those people. So ill just be careful and not agree to go out to any "drownable" area until I learn how to swim. This includes cruise ships, jet skying, surfing, fishing, etc.
