If you have a few minutes, there are two interesting videos that offer different perspectives on your situation. First, the YouTube channel PragerU tells you to Be a Man and Get Married (literally the title of the video) because it will help you settle down into a career and have a real life. THAT is your incentive. Next, our old friend Turd Flinging Monkey made a reply video. If you only watch one, watch TFM's video. EDIT: TFM's video essentially repeats everything in the first video, so just w…

PREDICTABILITY. I'd write it in bigger letters if I could. Everyone is a unique person capable of free will. But, damn, more and more, some women appear to be running off of the same script. When I read stories on MGTOW from other men, and the shit they went through with their ex-wives and family court, I was shocked. Here we have men who are total strangers to me, we never met, they have no idea what I've been though. Yet, their stories were shockingly similar to mine, even sometimes right down…

Some people like pets. I knew a single woman once who deliberately adopted a very-high-needs orphan from Cambodia with several developmental problems. Kid had all kinds of high-demand medical issues. She loved the praise she had for caring for this poor kid, but secretly, I thought to myself: she just wanted a pet. A pet you can dress-up and show-off.

Brilliant post. But don't forget abortion. To some, it's the cornerstone of female 'rights'. Hell, they were so afraid of Kavanaugh taking away mah rights, they lined up women to lie about rape, sacrificing pawns to save the queen.

To her credit, private prisons should go. I was in favor of them until it emerged that corporations wanted a seat at the table, so-to-speak, to influence sentence length, parole hearings, etc. Brazen conflict of interest. But the rest? All sounds good on paper. Implementation is a bitch, though.

IANAL, and OP really needs to talk to a lawyer. But there is a legal doctrine called an unconscionable contract. The law does recognize that some people can be tricked into signing a contract that a reasonable person would find unconscionable because it is extremely one-sided and unjust. Diminished mental capacity is one such valid claim. It's a form of fraud. However, you're dealing with the Family Courts. They care more about money than justice. So, good luck. Don't be surprised if a lawyer sa…

I had one or two friends like this along the way. Thankfully, one of them, a much better friend, finally broke out. Near the end, even he was unable to deny what was going on. When I see a post like this, I'm always reminded of a short bit called Getting a Beer with John. It's funny and sad how accurate this really is.

I don't know about the 70s. But in the 90s, girls didn't have smartphones. They actually had to dress-up, know how to have a conversation, be interesting, and have a solid strategy to land a decent guy. Old Dude here (obviously). Once they hit 10 or 12 years old, it seems every girl is nose-down in their phone constantly, even while on a date, presumably looking for the dopamine hit from social media validation. Their strategy? Post selfies. I don't get that at all. Conversation? Sure, for about…

Thanks for the misquote, DUDE. I said merely going through ROTC for two years isn't enough to be a Marine officer. Boot camp is for enlisted. You sound like you really have no idea what the fuck you're talking about.

Yeah, I'm kinda with you. Plus, whoever made that short video picked an unfortunate photo to make his point. It appears to show female Marine officers. Some of their standards might be a bit lower, but it is no easy task to become a Marine officer. You can't just go through two years of ROTC majoring in jack shit, and walk out with USMC Second Lieutenant bars. I was a Navy civilian contractor in Fallujah, working with female Marines. You'd be surprised. They're pretty tough. Most of them, anyway…

There's profit in separating children from fathers. I'm being literal here. It's true. Shared parenting leads to decreased (or eliminated) child support payments. In a 50/50 custody situation, mom might be held responsible for her half, and dad for his (THE SHOCK! Holding moms responsible!). With no child support order, the state gets no Title IV kickbacks, and the Child Support Enforcement Agency is denied a 'customer' (and that agency measures its success by how much money they extract from da…

Believe it or not, there's a legal doctrine called Unconscionable Contract. It basically says that if a contract is unconscionably one-sided and grossly unfair, it's unenforceable under the law. When a divorce lawyer told me about it, my IMMEDIATE reaction was to point out that the marriage contract itself (with the State, not the wife) was unconscionable. No man would enter into that contract if they really knew what it meant. The dick lawyer thought I was kidding, of course. Scumbag.

Archie Luxury. More of a humorous inspiration than role model. A very bitter divorced man who makes angry videos about the Family Courts and females in general. For a sample, watch this video for about a minute (starting at about 11 minutes in, but really, the whole video is worth watching). I can already see people making fun of this guy for his anger and unsightly appearance. But I get the strong feeling he speaks the truth, and all young men should listen. As long as the kid gets the basics (and I mean VERY BASICS, such as enough food to survive, a place to sleep), the woman is free to spend child support money on anything. Even if you can prove she's misspending it, the US courts do not care. She can even use it to pay for lawyers to sue you for even more child support. In the US, child support is a fraction of a man's income. Sometimes, you'll hear about a celebrity such as Tiger Woods who pays $25,000 a month in child support. What child costs …

I read her biography. She was actually, by all accounts, smart and hardworking. She was an outstanding officer candidate. She could have had a great career in the Navy in any number of fields. She wanted to be an aviator, and that's fine. Wow. I Googled the writer's name. She's a Family Law attorney (I guess the Nazis weren't hiring). Also, she's a heroin addict who served time in prison for drugs, and was caught lying about her criminal past. So, yeah, she's lecturing all of us on what's acceptable. Can't make this up.

The writer interviewed a social worker with a very poor understanding of economics. The social worker said prostitution is a "supply-and-demand" situation. That's true. However, she said when demand goes up, supply MUST go up along with it, resulting in women being "obligated" to become prostitutes. Obligated? Supply always meets demand? No one votes for SCOTUS Yeah, I know. But I was thinking that if a man had the resources and motivation to push for a Constitutional challenge, it would first need to bubble-up through his local circuit court, state supreme courts, and so on. Along the way, he would, no doubt, encounter judges more interested in the next election. But I get your point. One of the bulldykes Obama Really? Seriously? Which one? I hadn't heard. Kagan? BTW, regarding Kagan, why didn't she ever come out of the closet?…

we should be teaching young boys To be fair, traditional marriage has unraveled relatively quickly. My grandparents and great-grandparents wouldn't have considered divorce. You were in it for the long haul. You found a way to make it work. Considering the long history of Western Civilization, the changes have come very fast. Family Courts, Feminism, Facebook, Tinder... these are all relatively new ideas. And family law attorneys? They almost didn't exist 50 years ago. It was sleazy work and wasn…

the concept of alimony is a constitutional violation IMO, female votes are cheaper than men's votes. Women can easily be pandered to. So, what judge, what politician, what state assembly would stand on the side of men in a decisive case against women? There is no sympathy for men mistreated by the Family Courts, just like there's no sympathy for child molesters or drug dealers. No one with a political future would ever back anything like that. Not that I don't totally agree with you.

Biggest lesson I learned: security and convenience are opposite sides of the same coin. Tell users you'll inconvenience them, and they'll groan, and figure out how to get convenience back. Hence, the premise of the article: people sync everything together with weak passwords because it's convenient. Then one day, they get bit.

If you're interested in seeing one good exception, find Assault on Precinct 13 (the original film from 1976, not the 2005 re-make). It takes place in 1970s suburban Los Angeles, but it's based on the 1950s classic Western Rio Bravo, which starred John Wayne and Dean Martin (and was even recognized by the Library of Congress for its cultural value). Assault was a low-budget film; one of John Carpenter's first after film school. Action, thriller, drama, no love stories. One of my favorites. EDIT: …

It's not just money. I went to Iraq as a civilian Navy contractor. Worked at one location with about a dozen other great guys, all contractors. On my last day, I took a group photo of all of us. Old Dude here. In 1994, there was a low-budget film called Clerks. The script obviously contained some parody and exaggeration for humor. In one scene, a man is outraged to discover his 20-something girlfriend has sucked 37 dicks but only had vaginal intercourse with three of them. Thirty seven! At the time, I remember thinking it's obviously an exaggerated number, scripted only for its comedic value. Wow. That was "only" 24 years ago. From the article: "a judge feels the [father] should be allowed to spend time with his kids". So, there you go. Common thread: for men who've served with the military or police or provided a vital civil service, when they get screwed in Family Court, they instinctively react by pointing out their service. Aren't all women crisis actors? And they learn at a young age. Wow, you just reminded me. Somewhere, buried on YouTube (can't possibly find it now; it's been too long), some dad recorded his kids fighting with a hidden camera. The girl CLEARLY provoked the conflict, but as soon as the boy hit back, the girl could instantly turn on the tears and scream 'victim'. It's really insightful into human behavior. Girls know they're a preferred victim.

She calls the cops, basically says her boy has been kidnapped (but the dad says he's free to go), frequently cites the judge's orders, insists that her son's feelings don't matter whatsoever. court system would enforce a dead man to pay a dead woman That really made me laugh. Of course, laughing at both the absurdity and the truth. I can completely foresee this becoming a common reality. As it is, some courts order men to get life insurance so that, if they die, support payments continue. So, sure, why not extend it? Order the man to pay his ex-wife (and her estate) for 50 years. Buried in the article is an interesting factoid: Twenty years ago, among the single moms who were receiving child support, the child support payments were only 29% of their total income. Five years ago, it was 41%. Based on the trend, it's probably 50% today. Said another way, if you're a single mom, HALF of your income is child support. As long as Stacy Single Mom can vote, why would ANY politician or judge ever suggest we roll-back child support or its enforcement?

Why? Why not just explain it to educate her? I see this attitude on MGTOW all the time: anger against older people who don't yet understand how the marriage laws have changed. Maybe getting married was great advice 50 yeas ago, before feminist laws and Tinder. Some old people just don't realize how bad things are. Why not educate them? How will the laws ever possibly get changed if so few people know the problem?

Strawman? Not really. Maybe you could say I used the Masked-man fallacy. If there were many political parties in the USA, then, yes, I would agree that strawman would apply: OP never actually said Hillary was better. But, in the USA, we really only have two parties. So criticism of one party is difficult to separate from support of the other. Know your fallacies! And BTW, thank you for agreeing with me that both parties hate men.

Wow. I can relate to much of this. Except, my dad did the "slow-burn" suicide. Just drank and smoked himself to death, didn't really care much about anything when he died. The title is a bit hyperbolic -- and it's about criminal courts. But Family Courts, by definition, already offer no right to due process under the Sixth Amendment. People who've never been near a messy divorce sometimes find this hard to believe. A man who's committed no crime can have his children taken from him, and be sent to jail (if he can't make the assigned payments) -- all without the right to talk to a lawyer. You mean a contract for which you're not rewarded for breaking? What kind of nonsense is that? Someone (forgot who) had the idea that marriage contracts should have a term limit. This would never fly, of course, but it's an interesting idea. You get married. Five years later, the marriage naturally expires. No divorce, just expires. If you're still in love and want to continue, then get re-married. And unless you do, you're automatically single again without the mess.

Ah, you've just run across the dirty little secret: child support has NOTHING to do with the cost of raising a child. People look at me as if I'm retarded when I say this. But it's true. When deciding child support amounts, no one EVER asks, "What amount would support a child?". It's not even a consideration. Instead, it's, "How much can we fleece from the dad?". Yep. Sounds familiar. Dads are just useless, and maybe dangerous. So, better to just cast them aside. And if they dare fight for shared custody in court, just lie and say he hits them. Lying under oath in family court is allowed if you have a vag. Plus, more child support money for mom when she's got full custody! It's in the children's best interests! Somewhat related... One of my favorite bits of trivia: we're all the product of incest. You have two parents, four grandparents, eight great-grandparents, and so on. The number of ancestors doubles with each generation going back in time. If you go back 32 generations, perhaps just 700 or 800 years, you have 4.3 billion ancestors, but that's far greater than Earth's population back then. The explanation? You're the product of incest; it's guaranteed.

Old Dude here. I was a young man back when there were no cell phones, no Facebook, etc., and looking back, it was glorious. Women actually had to make a real effort to impress a guy. When I go out now, all I see are women who JUST CANNOT PUT THE FUCKING PHONE DOWN, not even for one damn minute. I have dated a bit in recent years. When I would be in their presence, I would turn my phone off as to give them my undivided attention. They reciprocate on the first date, at least for a while. But event…

SCOTUS opinions clearly say that "a hunch" is insufficient. Anyway, you say it's no big deal. But to many people, it is. BTW, cops always ask for ID, regardless, and phrase it to sound like a legal demand.

Sure, I tend to agree with all. I was more focused on IQ. As I get older, I do admire anyone who can get rich by themselves. I know this annoys Reddit, but I have, in the past, pointed out that Sarah Palin is a self-made multimillionaire. I know Reddit hates her, especially the neckbeards who live in mom's basement ("What's your checking account balance?"). But it's true. It's undeniably true. Well, let's start with your question. How do you define 'genius'? The typical definition is someone who has an IQ at least 2.6 standard deviations above average. That's about 140. Not sure if you know about IQ distributions or Bell curves or standard deviation. But it's easy enough to Google them and learn. An IQ of 140 or more can be found in 1 person out of 400. So, it's rare, but not so exceeding rare that it's difficult to find. By this measure, there are nearly 800,000 geniuses in the USA. …

There was a post on /r/TalesFromYourServer two weeks ago from a waitress who served a man eating by himself. Fun fact (I think of this each time height is a demand for reproduction): take a peek at regression analysis (a statistical process for estimating the relationships among variables). The earliest studies were investigations into why the heights of descendants of tall ancestors tend to regress down towards a normal average (a phenomenon also known as regression toward the mean). Today, this is why we call it regression. In plain English, two tall parents don't make even taller kids, or necessaril…

Here is a question: How much joy do you get from eating? If it's 5% of the total joy in your life, fine. I mean, once in a while, we all need a bag of Doritos and a beer. But for some people, eating is 50% of the total joy in their life, or 90%. Seriously. And we are humans. Why would anyone pass up an opportunity to feel joy? Find other things in your life that bring you joy. Eating should be down at the bottom somewhere. And even then, reward yourself. That is, eat healthy all week, but promis…

OP, I agree, MGTOW is apolitical. However, it's still impressed on me how, in the first ten days or so after the 2016 US Presidential election, nearly 100% of the posts on /r/TwoXChromosomes were anti-Trump and pro-Hillary. The election became a de facto race between men's rights and women's rights. And Trump enjoyed a healthy boost on /r/MGTOW. More than any other election I can remember, it was, in many ways, men vs. women. Pollsters have shown that if women's votes had been disregarded in the…

Speaking of biology, Ben Shapiro makes an interesting observation. If women are locked-out of STEM because of institutional sexism, can anyone explain why women dominate the fields of biology, zoology and veterinarian science? Also, if you go to countries such as India and Pakistan, many women choose and excel in STEM. Why? Quite simply because they're poor, and a STEM education leads to a good job. The choice to them is obvious. But here in the modern Western world (again, this is Ben Shapiro's…

Some context: When Hillary's husband was President (starting in 1993), he did the progressive thing and ordered the Pentagon to start allowing women into limited combat roles, including fighter pilots. Over the years, I've come to see the Pentagon as a dog willing to please its master (also see: the rush to promote open gayness once the ban was lifted). So, in 1993-1994, there was an unofficial race between the US Navy and US Air Force and US Marine Corps to see who could produce the first femal…

One of them found her on Facebook, and wrote to tell her how he'd always had a crush on her as a child, and still had it. And he added that he was now legally an adult. The whole argument here is that women initiate divorce to get money No, not really. It's a symptom. But the whole argument here is that marriage is bad for men, no matter who's to blame or how you slice it. No man wakes up in the morning and thinks, "Gee, I'd like to lose custody of my kids today and be financially ruined." No matter if he deserves it or not, or if he's a Good Guy or a Bad Guy, no man wants that. And yet, it happens. It happens far too often. Enough men have gotten together arou…

OK. You've known two women who didn't financially benefit from divorce. So what? In the big picture, it doesn't mean much. I knew two people who smoked a lot of cigarettes and still lived a long time. Do you think that's proof that smoking is good for you? You're obviously just trolling this sub. If you got something to say, just come out and say it.

Xbox One, and I only have one game: GTA V. After a stressful day, I come home, slam a few shots of bourbon, turn on the Xbox, and do almost nothing but deliberately hit female pedestrians with a stolen car. Or get out and start fistfights with them. I've learned where females congregate. I also like going downtown at night, soliciting a prostitute, then running her over. I like the way their bodies get flung over the car, and the sound effects. Inevitably, the police are called. Sometimes, I can…

A good read: http://black.blue/FireYourWife.pdf - especially the parts about money. It's a bit dated, but still good info. Plus, it puts you in a better state of mind going forward. There are ways to protect yourself a little, but it needs to be more subtle than "Sell your stuff for a dollar." And, lastly, Happy Fucking Father's Day.

OP, your question reminded me of a comedy sketch. It's only two minutes long; worth watching it all. But listen carefully to the very last question, from the girl, at the very end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuOBzWF0Aws

There's the opposite extreme in this forum too: some 15-year old virgin boy, who hasn't experienced a damn thing in his life yet, deciding that he's MGTOW and will never, ever have a girlfriend. I'm all for making smart decisions in your life. But you have to live a life, too. Sex and romance is part of the human experience here on Earth. Feeling love, risking your emotions, these things make us human. Just like firing a rifle and building a house. Would you take advice on alcoholism from someon…

Very poor preparation on the part of the male interviewer. He clearly wanted it to be a hit piece, but he didn't have his facts straight. And it's amazing to me... first, they talk about freedom of speech and how it's wrong that the film was banned in Oz. But in the very next breath, he uses the film's unavailability to defend his inability to make an intelligent criticism. What was the fucking point of the interview? "I didn't see the film, but I hated it."

In 2009, I took a train from Zurich to Geneva (and later to Paris, then flew back to USA). The train had the most amazing views. Ten out of 10, would do again. Had no woman with me. To iterate: twelve out of 10 would do again. EDIT: Switzerland was pricey.

Tell us more, brother. Where'd you go? What did you do? Older, bitter asshole here. Been to Europe many times. But tell the younger MGTOWs what you learned. Assure us that Buddha was right when he said it is "Better to travel well than to arrive."

how the fuck does the state actively condone this female horseshit? Female votes are cheaper. Just appeal to their emotions. You're not alone in this. Kids who grow up without fathers are at higher risk for future problems down the road. But Family Courts never factor it in.

Here is the original news video that mentions her legal strategy of being "cute and white." (go to 2:04 in the video) Additionally, she planned to cry to get her way. Wow, it's really as if women are programmed to manipulate men with tears. As a former Blue Piller, this "hard wiring" in my brain was the toughest to re-wire: to ignore a woman in 'distress', set aside emotions, and keep things based on facts and reason. Female tears mean nothing; tears are often lies.

Really sad reading. And now, we have a society where men avoid contact with kids (because, OBVIOUSLY, all men want to diddle youngsters), so kids are essentially raised entirely by women, with no role models for boys and no exposure for girls into half of society. What kind of kids are we raising today? The long-term consequences can't be good.

I'm with you in principle. But this... I ... don't want any ... savings, ... income, ... digital memories ... skills and hobbies... No income or savings? In the words of Vincent Vega, that's called being a bum. Quite possibly, there's nothing wrong with being a bum. In your 20s, maybe that's fine. But in 20 years, if you're broke and have no income, you'll realize you let some golden opportunities slip by. Time is on your side. Use it. You'll need money one day, like it or not. No skills or hobb…

get my own idea of how dangerous it is He was in Special Projects Squadron Two. I won't get into details, but you can Google it and see what's out in the open. It's safe to say those aircraft fly in a very 'dark' world. They're spy planes. They change their tail numbers during missions to avoid standing-out and to confound planespotters. The crews all have cover stories. They're often quietly going into Asia and Africa. I'm a civilian contractor who flies, and I'd sometimes hear their callsign i…
