The thing is she asked you out on only Coffee. If you had tried to pay her bill it might have become an awkward situation because the question would have arisen, why would you pay her bill? And this topic can become very delicate quickly with for example anyone saying the word "date" out loud.

i think its like this: The girl who chose the mean guy sees herself as an HB9+ The girl who chose the dating techinc guy seens herself as HB7-8 The girl who chose the AFC sees herself as HB6-7 Thats the only explaintion i got from it.
