Yeah it's amazing how much terminology from the book has become ingrained in pickup (even if a lot of the techniques are considered passé), and even in the mainstream non-pickup lexicon.

It was made famous in The Game by Neil Strauss (Mystery Method). Basically one of the OG PUA books from the early 2000's. I read it in college 15 years ago and it blew my mind. Now probably better read as a historical document than a pickup guide.

Did you actually read my comment? Yes there are sites to meet wingmen. There were sites back in 2012-2015 when I was gaming very regularly. Met quite a few guys on simplepickupforum.com back then, as well as puaforums.com. Most pickup forums have a subform devoted to helping people find wings. Just want to know where people congregate these days. I'm honestly surprised you've never heard of this.

Thank you, you're right. My self confidence has been a bit lower with the recent breakup, but I'm working back into shape!

I agree, it’s screwed up my frame a bit. Good point he’s probably jealous, I get more girls than him it’s not close.

I always feel like it’s the responsibility of the person in the relationship not to cheat. You’re not forcing her to do anything she doesn’t want to do.

Dave and busters is a great date spot. However it really depends how good your rapport is. If you’re both chill fun people it’ll be awesome. But if there’s some nerves and you don’t know each other too well it can sometimes be a little awkward. I took an ex gf there on our second date and it was one of the awkwardest dates I’ve been on, but further down our relationship one of our fave date activities became going to arcades. Don’t hate on the coffee date. Coffee date in a cool neighborhood and …

First of all, congrats on continuing to do pickup after 6 years. I’ve been doing it for a similar amount of time (7 years), and I’ve run through 10-15 wings who all gave up within a year or two with almost no success to speak of. The fact you’re able to get numbers is better than most people. Pickup is fucking hard. The thing is, us greybeards all know that phone numbers are only step one of like 100 steps. How long do your interactions last? Are you connecting with women? It’s really easy to di…

In this case it seems like she’s not interested and trying to let you down gently. Sorry. You can keep pursuing and you might be able to change her feelings, but it’s going to be really difficult and likely unsuccessful. It’s okay if she’s not interested. You can’t get every single girl to like you. Sometimes we get caught up and think PUA will let us get every girl on the planet just bc we know pickup. (For example, if a girl likes skinny asian guys and you’re a fat black guy, you’re gonna have…

Thanks for the positive reinforcement! However I’m sorry but I don’t think you should limit yourself to just people in the PUA scene, or you will develope a very narrow perspective on life and women. Don’t you value the friendships you’ve made in high school and college? Also, while I’ve made some friends from my years in pickup, a lot of the guys I’ve met through pickup seem to have low EQ. I’ve been doing pickup off and on for 7 years now, PUA is not the end all to be all.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
