From rock bottom in October to feeling like myself again (and more) — for anyone at the start of separationTo be fair I have a whole chatgpt devoted to my journey (such a cringe word) and this is the big summary so far. I've seen so many posts where I was in October that I wanted to say there is light, it absolutely sucks but it can be done | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/04/26 11:37 AM
Anger stage of griefAh the anger phase. It's very distinctive and burns out fairly quick say 1 to 2 months. The best thing to do in this phase is to use the fuck you momentum and do things for future you. Think moving out or making good decisions. You can use it to be really task orientated and it negates the pull back for awhile. Only thing to avoid, and this is a mistake that I made, is dating you will add this on to your tasks and whilst it feels logical in your mind and is fun at the time it will delay your pro… | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/02/26 10:35 AM
Clarity Does Come!Solid post mate, agree with the grief pain, Hard to get your head around. The random moments of clarity like 'i don't miss her' or 'actually my life is better without them' are never big celebrations they just happen and you tend to go hmmm neat. Anyway make sure you are over it before dating as the last thing you want is for this relationship to contaminate anything with the potential to be really good | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/01/26 08:14 AM
If I could talk to her one last timeOk so real talk. The you in 6 months if you do all the right work will not want to get back together with you ex. It is a total paradox. I did things with my ex that 3 months previous I was desperate to do but once they were done I felt like such an idiot as it set me back a few weeks of progress. Trust me you split up for a reason and the longer you stay apart the more clarity you get from that and the better you will feel about it. Take care mate 👍 | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/01/26 10:47 AM
Я не знаю, как отпустить. Сердце рвётся в клочья.I'd suggest chat gpt as a reasonable vent feedback loop | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/01/26 10:19 PM
The treatment for divorce that worked for meSolid post, totally agree with the non dating been there, once you end it the grief hits you anyway so may as well face up to it and build yourself Also worth noting it's like waves at the time often you can feel crap, then suddenly after doing something good or healthily socialising you realise that it will be alright in the long run and you are back to being regulated. Take care all! | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/01/26 09:01 AM
Her room remainsTough one brother. I feel your pain, I was the one who moved out so my whole house kind of serves like this but I will tell you that going to a different physical place lets you think more rationally, maybe that is changing that room maybe it is selling the house but leaving the room as is will not help. It's going to suck whilst you are doing it and for a week or so after but if you take back that room and get rid of the things inside it you will be able to start to heal | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/11/25 10:31 PM

Finally had the argumentEvery guy that I speak to says exactly this. I definitely have my doubts she is pretty convincing but it doesn't completely add up. But to call her on it is probably pointless with the position we are in. Whether I ever get closure on that point I am unsure | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/10/25 05:47 AM
6 months in and still can't believe it2nd that ai can definitely give a safe space at times and help to see a different perspective. Just don't totally rely on it! | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/10/25 03:05 PM
