FLA contempt again just arrived awesome, not paying lifetime alimony for the service last 6 months since changed jobs - come get me damn - new income withholding order on the way, that ex won’t die - damn Paid alimony 13 years so far (2009 divorce) … infinity to go. Thanks for the link - more depressing stories but united we suffer - good email list (100s deep) I’m on with other sb1796 supporters (dicksantis vetoed) has many similar tales of woe… I’m guessing most just leave country and don’t look back - sad

Only a handful of states still participate in this modern day indentured servitude… and FLA is the largest… you can imagine there are many boomer era first wives club members down there … they never gone work, as the kids say

In case you missed it, Ron Desantis vetoed SB1796; basically took the cash from FL Family Law bar and ran —- exactly what Rick Scott did twice when previous bills passed FL house and senate … despicable Permanent aka lifetime alimony will remain unchecked in FL for many many years to come — I for one am never going back and they’ll have to extradite me and throw me into the chain gang to get one more cent.
