I think the part you are missing here is that I have also worked through out the years. MY money has gone into OUR checking account which paid for OUR vehicles and OUR houses. Not enough to support an entire household which is what I’m scraping to do now. My money went into all of those assets too over 15 years.

Everything you are saying is exactly what I am asking for. The car is in his name. I just drove it. WE paid it off once and HE took out another note without my knowledge.

I haven’t gotten a dime. He’s putting off getting divorced and stringing this out. Finally came up with attorney money. What I signed from the banker isn’t what I thought I signed. Signed the morgtages but apparently not the notes and am not on the deeds. Just found that out too. Yep am working and working my ass off with $2.87 to my name

I did not sign the note on the car. It’s not in my name. He took out an extra note without telling me. I had no idea. I don’t want the marital home. He can have it. I just want some compensation so I can get on my feet and start over

Thank you! He’s making me feel crazy for asking for anything and is only offering the 401k. My goal is to get on my feet and move forward as quickly as possible. I would like some of the equity out of our homes and help with alimony until I can get that. I have worked through out the years and contributed too. I also gave up my career goals and worked non-traditional jobs that allowed the flexibility to cater to their every whim. It worked. That was the plan. I’m working full time now and like I…

I left the home because it was toxic. You can only be told you’re worthless and stupid so many times. We weren’t getting along at all and fighting constantly. I admit I did my fair share of arguing and there were times that I dug my heels in. Most fights were when I was trying to dig into what was going on with our finances. I became extremely depressed and was using alcohol to cope. He is also a heavy drinker, which made hanging onto sobriety difficult. Through out our marriage he controlled the…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
